Chapter 160: Chapter 141 Gunshot (Subscribe Please!)_3

"Yeah, the space inside is more than ten times the size of our shop, so making this much money isn’t unusual," Tang Qing said.

Upon hearing this, Qin Yuzhen nodded thoughtfully and then said to Tang’s father, "Old Tang, why don’t we open a shop in the city after repaying the money next year? It would be closer to our relatives, and we could keep an eye on the restaurant. I always feel uneasy when it’s too far away."

"But..." Tang’s father hesitated. He was uncomfortable with the idea of leaving the place he had lived for so many years to move to Qingyan City. His instincts were resisting the idea.

"Dad, don’t hesitate. Let’s move to the city next year. The county town is too small, and the people in the city have money, it’s a lot easier to earn money there," Tang Qing hastily advised. He hoped that his parents would move to Qingyan City. After all, proximity provided reassurance. If his parents were taken advantage of here and he didn’t know about it, his parents definitely wouldn’t tell him. But in Qingyan City, even his uncle could handle most of the troubles without him. 𝘯𝘰𝑣𝘱𝑢𝘣.𝑐𝑜𝑚

"Alright then." Seeing his wife and child persuading, Tang’s father made a decision. He had many acquaintances in Qingyan City, so it wasn’t an unfamiliar place. And with the care of Qin Yugang, they wouldn’t be taken advantage of.

Seeing his father agree to go to Qingyan City, Tang Qing was very happy. After he got into the university, he would have to leave Qingyan City again, so he wanted to spend more time with his parents.

The meal lasted until ten o’clock.

Tang Qing slept on the sofa that night. Mother Tang originally wanted Tang Qing and Tang’s father to sleep together while she shared the bed with Lin Jiaxue. But Tang Qing turned her down on some pretext. His sleeping hours had been shrinking, and he had gotten into the habit of doing something else when he woke up in the middle of the night. Having his father around would be inconvenient. Moreover, he did not want to wake up in the middle of the night to the sound of snoring.

Mother Tang didn’t say anything else, Lin Jiaxue ended up sleeping alone in the room that was previously his.

Tang Qing went to bed very late that night. The thought of Lin Jiaxue lying on his bed, in his room kept playing on his mind. Should he stage a night raid? Of course, he was just entertaining the thought. In the silence of the night, one’s mind tended to wander. He needn’t rush now that they had time.

Tang Qing woke up again around two in the morning. With nothing else to do, he had to play with money. An hour later, he received another 13 million.

With nothing else to do at home, he was not about to play with guns. If someone woke up and he couldn’t hide in time, it would cause a commotion. He didn’t have one of those memory eraser devices like in Men in Black, and the consequences could be unbearable.

So, Tang Qing could only count the cash for fun.

One, two, three ... a hundred RMBs.

He counted a stack of RMB, then dollars, and then Euros. Tang Qing felt he had reached the pinnacle of idleness.

He decided that he needed to cultivate other hobbies in the future. Constantly playing with guns would eventually become boring, not to mention counting money - it was absolutely mind-numbing. To him, money had become a mere series of digits. Earning more than ten million every day no longer thrilled him.

No, he really needed to develop some pastimes to pass the time, otherwise, he would get too bored.

"Bang..."

The sound of gunfire startled Tang Qing, who was counting money. His hands shook, scattering the three different currencies all over the place. He hurriedly picked them up and put them back in the system.

In his spare time, Tang Qing often practised controlling his Origin Qi, especially after discovering that Origin Qi could enhance his five senses. Particularly at night when it’s quiet, it’s the perfect time to practise. So far, however, he had only managed to simultaneously enhance two senses. Any more than that became unmanageable.

At night, he could hear the noise of snakes, insects, rodents, and ants moving in the dark. It was quite noisy. Occasionally, he would hear the deafening ’roar’ of a vehicle passing the entrance of his neighborhood, or a couple ’making people’ if they couldn’t sleep. This gunshot wasn’t loud, and a normal person wouldn’t be able to hear it here. But in the quiet winter night, Tang Qing’s ears picked it up.

"Bang..." another gunshot rang out.

Damn, where did that gunshot come from in the middle of the night? Tang Qing mumbled to himself.

Forget it, it’s none of my business, and I can’t dodge bullets. Why bother getting involved, Tang Qing lay back down on the sofa.

But three minutes later, Tang Qing was tossing and turning, his mind full of curiosity.

Alright, a gun was fired in the middle of the night. There had to be bad guys involved. Even though he wasn’t exactly a law-abiding citizen, he couldn’t just sit back and watch criminals walk free now that he had some abilities. This was the excuse Tang Qing made for himself.

Once his decision was made, Tang Qing quietly got up, and carefully jumped down from the window in his own living room. The ground below was made of cement. By landing on his toes first, Tang Qing was able to absorb the impact by crouching slightly once he landed. Even though it was on the third floor, it made no difference to him.

Why didn’t he go through the main door? That was because his door made a screeching noise every time it was opened and closed. Everyone in the neighborhood could hear it clearly. He didn’t want to cause trouble for himself, even though he might already be in trouble.

The gunshots came from the abandoned steel factory just outside his neighborhood, separated only by a wall. This steel factory was located on the outskirts of the county town, and further away was a wide river that wasn’t very deep. The river was opposite a large farmland.

The steel factory covered hundreds of acres and was huge, but it had shut down five years ago. The workers either lost their jobs or moved on. The government set a high selling price due to the factory’s large size and unfavorable location. As a result, it had not been sold for several years. However, Tang Qing knew that it would be bought by a large real estate developer from the province next year. A high-end neighborhood, the biggest in the county, would be built on it. In the end, the developer would make a fortune.

However, Tang Qing was neither envious nor interested in speculating on this piece of land. He didn’t plan to go into the real estate business in the future. First, it was too exhausting, and there were many relationships to maintain, which was a hassle. Second... it didn’t earn enough money.

Yes, in his view, the real estate business was not lucrative to him once he had the system. His daily profit could outperform most of the real estate companies in the country. This was simply because he played it safe. If he really went all out, all the real estate businesses in the country combined would not be making as much as he made from currency exchange. Of course, this was an exaggeration, but he really wasn’t interested in the meagre profits of the real estate business.
