Chapter 538: Chapter 445 - Chief of Police, It’s Better if You Explain Before Leaving _1

Tang Qing, with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face, stared at the tour guide, eagerly awaiting for him to call for back-up. He was curious to see which Thai police officer would be so audacious to cross paths with him and cover up for this jerk.

This man seemed to have been involved in deeds like this before, no doubt there were numerous victims.

Hmph.

Bring it on.

No matter what sort of monster you are, I will take you down. Tang Qing was armed to the teeth with both public and secret weapons.

At that very moment.

Li Kai and Feng Sen squeezed their way through the crowd and stood behind Tang Qing, with scowls directed at the guide. There was no way they would put up with the bullying of the old man and the young woman, or the outrageous act of calling foreigners to bully their own people.

Even though Tang Qing’s side seemed to have people and power advantages, the male tour guide wasn’t the least bit scared by it. He was convinced that the few ’foreigners’ here wouldn’t dare cross paths with locals. He took Tang Qing as another fearless rookie, well then, it was about time he put this little fellow in his place to make the rest of the tour go more ’smoothly’.

Tang Kai and Hua Dongfang stood at the front of the crowd, also curiously waiting for the guide to summons reinforcements. Supporting their nephew’s initiative, they had to be unyielding to not lose face, or it would affect Hua Dongfang’s standing as the richest Chinese person in Thailand.

Hua Dongfang looked at Tang Qing with a bright smile. The boy had guts and a strong sense of justice which Hua Dongfang respected. He wasn’t bothered either—his successful business was not just because his son served in the Thai Army, he also had a good number of friends.

Black and white issues aside, not many people dared to trouble him now. The big shot who used to dominate this area had ended up in jail, seemingly for life, so peace was resumed. Yet, Hua Dongfang didn’t mind. They had been on bad terms anyway, and it was better for his rival to be gone. Suddenly, he remembered the newly appointed young deputy director, and decided to pay a visit soon to get acquainted.

He knew about the shop they were standing at—it had often been involved in such affairs. It was under the protection of the previous big shot, but now that he was in jail, the controller of this area still had the audacity to not lay low. Hua Dongfang thought, let’s see how you handled the situation this time.

Seeing them standing together, unhindered, and the tourists eagerly waiting for the show to start, the tour guide gritted his teeth and decided to call a Thai police officer, a middle-ranking officer, who was his acquaintance.

A little bloodshed was no big deal. He couldn’t lose face.

"...Alright, no problem, I’ll wait here for you." The guide respectfully mumbled a few words in Thai on the phone, seemingly promising something, and then hung up.

Putting the mobile phone back in his pocket, the guide scornfully looked around at the ’spectators’. He decided to recover this loss from their pockets. Hmph, these people thought they could just watch the show for free, as if he were to perform for them.

"Old Tang, this guy seems to have some connections," Li Kai whispered.

"Don’t worry, even if he has connections, don’t forget my Uncle Number 2 is here. If he isn’t scared, why should I be?" Tang Qing reassured him smilingly.

Upon hearing Tang Qing, Li Kai realized that he was being needlessly worried. He looked at Tang Kai standing beside him, looking calm. It would be strange for such a big spender like Tang Kai to not have any connections with the Thai Government in a foreign country.

No further words were exchanged.

Li Kai and Feng Sen were all set to watch the drama unfold.

"If you dare, stay here, you will see..." Seeing Li Kai whispering, the tour guide thought he was scared and became even more arrogant. But, he could not finish his sentence.

"Shut up! I’ve already said your words are toxic. Stop babbling. I can’t wait to see who you can call," Tang Qing cut off the guide right before he finished his sentence.

"You..." The guide was so infuriated that he was lost for words. He was not even allowed to speak up. What justice was left in the world?

"Young man, you’d better leave quickly. This man seems to have some connections. If you stick around, you might be at a disadvantage," warned the old man, realizing the situation was getting direr.

Tang Qing just smiled and replied, "Old man, don’t worry. I wouldn’t have stepped in if I were scared of him. Just relax. I believe it’s high time someone like him learns a lesson, or else he’ll think everybody is a pushover."

The old man wanted to say something but struggled. Seeing Tang Qing and the people behind him showing no fear, he didn’t say anything. They clearly had enough confidence.

"Old man, is this the first time he has coerced you into buying things?" Tang Qing asked. They might as well keep talking while waiting for the Thai police.

Bringing up this matter again.

The old man looked furious and livid.

"No, this is already the third place. The first two were in some other places—one in Chinatown in Thailand, and the other at the Floating Market. I didn’t bring much money with me initially, thinking that it would be more than enough. But it couldn’t satisfy his greed," the old man angrily glared at the tour guide.

"The third time huh, you really have some nerve," Tang Qing said gloomily, looking at the guide. His expression became more serious.

That’s not good.

We have a saying—once or twice is tolerable, not thrice.

This continued exploitation was nothing less than extortion. It was outrageous. Had he not been accompanying Lin Jiaxue and wanted to maintain his image, Tang Qing would have kicked the guide on the spot.

A small tree that isn’t trimmed won’t grow upright, and a person who isn’t reprimanded will not correct his actions.

It’s about people like this guide.

The guide staggered back against the wall in fear, almost falling to his knees, as he saw Tang Qing’s eyes turned cold. Just a tenth of Tang Qing’s Origin Qi and Nerve Telekinesis could create an intimidating scene.

Those eyes.

were terrifying.

And Tang Qing had only used a tenth of his power. If he had put in full force, it would have scared the hell out of the guide, who could have even suffered a heart attack, or, worst case scenario, gone mad. Tang Qing had come to realize how fragile and insignificant the lives of ordinary people could be when facing supernatural powers. He could wipe them out with a flick of his hand.

Now, the range of Tang Qing’s Nerve Telekinesis was about thirty meters. Within this range, even with a motion as simple as waving his hand, he could exert the force of a Level-2 Fighter. But his Nerve Telekinesis couldn’t directly affect the internal organs of others. Otherwise, with his current level of Nerve Telekinesis, he could instantly cause someone’s heart to explode or block their blood vessels, causing instant death.

It seemed like every living being had a certain life magnetic field. It was very powerful. Although his current Nerve Telekinesis could break someone’s bones, it could hardly penetrate more than half a centimeter underneath the skin.

This strange phenomenon couldn’t be explained by anyone, and neither could the principles behind it be understood. He could only attribute it to the self-protection mechanism of intelligent beings.

But he wasn’t worried yet.

When his Nerve Telekinesis became stronger in the future.

Nothing is a problem at all.

Watching the tour guide’s legs buckle as he leaned against the wall, the spectators thought he was acting guilty. It seemed he was frightened by the aura of righteousness radiated by the handsome young man, Tang Qing. Ah, yes, it must be so.

As time went on, more and more people joined the audience.

What a shame. There were no local street committees here, and no one came to maintain order.

After a short while,

Two Thai police officers arrived. Seeing familiar faces, the tour guide rushed over like he was meeting his relatives. However, after only a few steps, "thump," he suddenly fell to his knees, startling the Thai police officer.

Damn, although we haven’t seen each other in a long time, there’s no need for such a grand ceremony, right?

Many people are watching.

The tour guide’s face turned red, blushing with embarrassment. Damn it! He blamed his weak legs for betraying him and making him kneel in front of so many people. He felt utterly humiliated, and his face contorted in agitation.

He quickly stood up, using his legs for support.

"Officer Sai Yi, you have to stand up for me," he said with a gloomy face, his knees still aching from the unexpected fall.

"Alright, whoever is causing trouble here, follow me back to... Hello Mr. Hua." Before he finished speaking, Sai Yi saw Hua Dongfang, whose face didn’t look good among the crowd, and quickly changed his tone, sounding entirely different.

’Hello Mr. Hua’?

Wasn’t he supposed to say ’back to the police station’? What’s this new institution? The tour guide was momentarily bewildered. But seeing Sai Yi walk towards a person in the crowd with a look of utmost flattery, the tour guide’s heart sank.

He understood.

That person carried significant influence.

You guys don’t know him.

You guys don’t know him.

I didn’t see him just now.

I didn’t see him just now.

...

The tour guide prayed silently in his heart. He implored all the gods and Buddhas in heaven. However, due to his lack of piety in ordinary times, nobody came to save him. Seeing the man’s cold gaze directed at him, the guide felt like dying out of despair. It was his bad luck; he seemed to have messed with the wrong person.

He didn’t even have time to put up a pretense.

"Officer Sai Yi, is this how you handle affairs?" Hua Dongfang coldly watched Sai Yi, without an iota of goodwill towards him. He had heard about Sai Yi colluding with others in such schemes before, but as it never affected him directly, he didn’t interfere. However, since he had encountered it today, he naturally had to meddle.

"I... Mr. Hua, you’ve misunderstood. I received a complaint about someone creating disturbances and disrupting the business order. So, I came to investigate," Sai Yi quickly replied with a fawning smile.

Though his rank was slightly higher than that of normal Thai police, he held an insignificant position compared to Hua Dongfang. The latter’s son was a colonel in Thailand, and might even become a general someday. Although he wasn’t a pure Thai, it was not something Sai Yi could complain about openly.

"Oh?... Who reported it? Who disrupted the business order?" Hua Dongfang asked with a half-smile.

Asked like this, Sai Yi naturally looked towards the wobbling tour guide.

"Alright, I won’t say much. That guy has colluded with this shop to overcharge tourists. It’s not the first time he’s done this. You’d better conduct a proper investigation," Hua Dongfang didn’t want to engage in a lengthy conversation with Sai Yi, who had a history of misconduct. Since talking wouldn’t change anything, it was best to resolve the immediate situation first. He didn’t have the authority to influence personnel appointments in the Bangkok police force.

It was enough to handle the present situation.

Upon hearing this, Sai Yi already started to plan in his mind.

This guy.

It seems he would have to bring him in for a while. But it wasn’t a big deal. After all, he wouldn’t miss out on the money he should receive. He would still get his share, even if he let him go halfway. Hua Dongfang wouldn’t cause trouble over this matter.

"Understood. I will immediately take him back for investigation," Sai Yi immediately agreed.

With that said, Sai Yi briskly walked up, handcuffed the tour guide, and gave him a meaningful look. The guide immediately understood that he should cooperate. As such, he quietly allowed himself to be led away.

However, Tang Qing caught all these details.

Humph.

You guys want to privately settle this matter?

Have you asked me?

"Officer Sai Yi, please wait a moment. I want to know how you will deal with this person and what will happen to the money he has taken as a kickback. Please give a clear reply. Otherwise, it will be better for you to wait and clarify everything before you leave."

Tang Qing’s cold voice suddenly intensified the atmosphere on the scene.

Upon hearing Tang Qing’s words,

The surrounding spectators who were about to applaud were a bit stunned, their raised hands still hanging in the air.

Whose child is this?

He sure has guts

To actually threaten a Thai policeman in public.
