Though there were restrictions on how the fund could be utilized, only for expansion and operations, none of the businesses present intended to just pocket the interest. Their companies were fully funded, and they didn’t plan to do anything shady with this money.
The Chamber of Commerce was just newly established.
There was barely anything to discuss internally.

The first Chamber meeting had approached the last agenda item.

I have another announcement to make. The Special Zone will establish a research institution called the ’Zhiya Natural Science Research Center.’ It will integrate the majority of scientific research forces in the Special Zone, and provide core technological support for the future development of the ’Myanmar Economic Zone.’
The Research Centre will operate under Myanmar Asia Bank Group, ranking above all its subsidiaries and being on par with the Myanmar Asia Chamber of Commerce. With unrestricted access to all resources and personnel of Burma Asia Bank Group, the Research Centre will be primarily funded by the bank.
The reason for specifically announcing this is the Zhiya Research Centre will undertake external research tasks. Members of the Myanmar Asia Chamber of Commerce can apply for outsourcing research task on certain technologies within their companies, but they must pay for the research expenses themselves. Ling once again began her off-the-cuff speech.

People like Tang Kai quickly understood the scope of the research center; it was without boundaries.
The ’Zhiya Natural Science Research Center’ encompassed all aspects of natural science, with its headquarters located in the soon-to-be-constructed ’Zhiya Area.’
This newly planned high-tech research area was located twelve kilometers west of Xin’an Town. It was managed independently from the Myanmar Economic Zone administration, co-managed by Myanmar Bank Group and Ling’s soldiers.
This secret area had semi-militarized management. After two frantic months of construction, the main building in the Zhiya Area was completed. Two weeks later, the first phase of the Zhiya Research Center would be fully operational.
As to the origin and strength of these scientists, while Ling didn’t explicitly say, Tang Kai and Wangsa were not worried.
They both had extensive trade with the territory and were heavily invested in many projects. As factory bosses, they understood the technological value of their projects. These were undoubtedly at an advanced level. They wouldn’t claim it was the most advanced, but it was certainly first class.
The only restriction was not being able to transport the equipment out.

"I have a question, Ling. If a technology that is commissioned for development, would it be owned by the investor or co-owned? If it’s co-owned, what will the proportion be?" a merchant from Huaxia raised his question.
Ling replied, "If it is a completely novel technology, the Research Centre will hold fifty percent of the patent." The implication was clear: pre-existing patented technologies were not up for discussion.
"I understand. I don’t have any more questions." The man put down his hand.
Fifty percent.
This was undoubtedly a lion’s share. Commissioned research typically implied that technology belonged wholly to the investor after payment, but it really depended on the research capabilities of the institute.
Zhiya Natural Science Research Centre.
Tang Qing planned to develop it into the world’s largest and strongest technological incubator, a holder of technical futures. It was not merely a role working for small capital. It had only one big boss, Tang Qing.
Helping you develop something and only charging a bit of research fee, Tang Qing would never do such silly things.
What were the things his scientists were capable of?
They were top academics, and coupled with the support of Little Two’s remote database and supercomputing capacity, their research ability was formidable, equivalent to a hundred other research institutes.
Had it not been for the aim to expand Zhiya research centre’s influence and have it serve as a significant safeguard for the globalization of Asia Dollar in the future, and also to win over some people, while conveniently covering up actions towards his own people, Tang Qing would not lend out the research capabilities of his scientists.

People from the Myanmar Bank Group also gradually left, leaving only the fourteen of them in the conference room.
"Everyone, we are all friends in the same trenches now. Let’s have lunch together at noon and get to know each other." Wangsa stood up and loudly suggested. He wanted to get to know all these people that seemed to be no pushover.

However, Tang Kai found it strange. Like the Clay Family from Thailand, they were a major family. He also cooperated with Wei Jun and Tang Liang in the fruit wine business. All of them were far from small fry; why weren’t they invited to join the Myanmar Asia Chamber of Commerce?
