Chapter 80: Chapter 72: Are You Sure You Want Me to Use My Full Power?_1

"Good afternoon, everyone. First of all, welcome to the Sheng Tang family. Many of you know me because I have interviewed you with Mr. Yang. Some of you haven’t met me because I was busy and the recruiting process was handled by Mr. Yang and Ms. Qi.

So let me reintroduce myself, I am Tang Qing, seventeen years old, and still a senior high school student. I understand if some of you might think I’m immature and my future looks bleak, yet here I am, joining this big family for my own survival. Ha-ha."

After saying that, Tang Qing paused and looked around briefly. Some even lowered their heads but Tang Qing just smiled lightly, not minding it at all. It was fair. It would be strange if they were all completely confident in him.

"I am very straightforward and do not like to beat around the bush or procrastinate. So I hope we can work well together. Moreover, if you cannot trust me, you should at least trust our esteemed Mr. Yang. The documents you currently hold are the company’s charter and development plan. For the foreseeable future, your work will revolve around these two documents, some of you even helped create these."

So, the first agenda for today is about any doubts or difficulties you might have with these documents. I do not want to hear any issues after this meeting. All I need to know now is if you can achieve the company’s goals according to the plan. Take twenty minutes to read your department’s part, particularly the Sales, Production, and Design Department."

When Tang Qing finished talking, people immediately started flipping through the documents. Of course, excluding the vice presidents who already knew the contents. Qi Yan was just spinning her pen although he didn’t say anything because he was doing the same.

He was spinning it even better than Qi Yan.

The company’s charter undoubtedly covers daily operations like clocking in at work, but also includes future channels, sales, production, design, human resources, finance, and shop management personnel hierarchy and task reward and punishment system. It’s rather lengthy and it would be unnecessary to bring up an attendance reward and punishment system for this meeting, that’s something that should be communicated through a notice.

"Alright, time’s almost up, does anyone have any questions?" Looking at the time, Tang Qing asked.

No one responded from the floor. The plan was submitted by Yang Kai, but all departments were definitely involved. After internal discussions, there were no outstanding queries. As long as Tang Qing fulfils the promised investment, everyone can get to work.

"Well, since everyone has no questions, let’s move on to the next agenda..."

The meeting lasted a full three hours and finally ended with all the pre-New Year work being arranged. Unless there was a critical issue, Tang Qing would only need to hold the company’s annual meeting before the New Year and arrange a meal for all employees before the Spring Festival break, giving everyone a chance to meet each other.

...

December 21.

Sunday.

Nine in the morning.

After breakfast, Tang Qing found the army supply store as instructed by his uncle. Its location was good, only two streets away from Lin Jiaxue’s shop. In his previous life, Tang Qing had no idea his uncle had such a comrade. His name was Han Leng. Tang Qing could only describe this name as terrible.

Looking from the outside, Tang Qing noticed the shop wasn’t small, at least two hundred square meters. It was morning and they had just opened so there was only one young man sweeping the floor when he looked in.

Tang Qing walked straight in.

"Hello, what would you like to buy?" As soon as Tang Qing entered, the spectacled young man sweeping the floor eagerly asked.

Looking at his hopeful eyes, Tang Qing felt sorry, as he wouldn’t buy such things. They would have no use to him. His body trained with Origin Qi Value didn’t require any exercise. As long as the energy intake was sufficient, there wouldn’t be a physical decline due to a lack of exercise. It would always remain in its best state.

This was why Tang Qing only needed to sleep three hours a day. As for any remaining time, what did Tang Qing do? Of course, he spent it on reading and studying, and when he got tired of studying, he would daydream about the future. He had a lot on his mind now.

"Sorry, I’m not buying anything, I’m looking for Uncle Han, we’ve arranged a meeting."

"Oh, I see. Please wait a moment, the boss is inside. I’ll fetch him." The spectacled young man seemed slightly disappointed after hearing Tang Qing was here for the boss.

"Okay, thank you." Tang Qing expressed his gratitude.

Soon, the spectacled young man led a tall and muscular man out. Tang Qing was caught by surprise. This wasn’t an American movie, weren’t special forces in the domestic army lean? 𝑛𝘰𝑣𝘱𝑢𝑏.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Why was there such a hefty man?

Despite being taken aback, Tang Qing didn’t forget to show respect.

Tang Qing quickly walked over and respectfully greeted him, "Are you Uncle Han?"

"I am Han Leng. You must be Little Tang. Mr. Qin told me you ranked first in your grade. That’s impressive. Keep it up. Study hard and contribute to the development of our country." Han Leng praised.

Originally, Han Leng had no interest in teaching a student, but after Qin Yugang mentioned his nephew was top of his grade and wanted to learn some self-defense, Han Leng agreed. He wouldn’t have agreed if a student wanted to learn to fight instead of studying properly.

Despite Han Leng’s imposing appearance, his smile warmed everyone’s heart, creating a tremendous contrast.

"Uncle Han, you flatter me, the moment you showed up, I felt an overwhelming aura." Tang Qing said humbly.

"Haha, do you even know what this aura is, young lad?" Han Leng laughed heartily at his words.

"Not really. It’s just a feeling...umm...Is it killing intent?" Tang Qing joked lightheartedly, but after speaking his mind, he began to feel like it could be true. His senses had heightened since he obtained the Origin Qi. Now, he sensed some hidden danger beneath the overwhelming aura. Was it killing intent?

Tang Qing guessed.

"Haha, boy, you’ve been watching too much TV. There’s no killing intent here." Han Leng laughed and dismissively said. He wouldn’t admit to having killing intent. Moreover, how could a student possibly sense it? He assumed Tang Qing was only flattering him.

"Er... you might be right..." Tang Qing touched his nose awkwardly but was more convinced in his heart. The dangerous vibe was undoubtedly killing intent, or he wouldn’t have felt the danger.

At the same time, he admired Han Leng for killing the enemy. Whoever it was, if they were the enemy of the state, they deserved to be killed.

"Alright, Xiao Su, watch the shop for me. I’ll go to the back with Little Tang." Han Leng then turned to tell the man with the glasses. That was when Tang Qing learned his surname was Su.

"Sure, boss." The man with glasses responded.

Han Leng then took Tang Qing to the back of the shop. It was a midsize house, built behind the storefront with at least a hundred square meters space filled with lots of workout equipment.

As soon as they entered, Han Leng asked Tang Qing directly, "Little Tang, what do you want to learn?"

"Grappling and combat." Tang Qing blurted out.

"Do you even know what they are before wanting to learn them?" Han Leng laughed.

"Er, not sure. As long as I can fight and win, it’s enough." Tang Qing said after a moment’s thought. He’d heard the terms before, but needed the teacher to clarify the specifics, as he didn’t know.

"Are you learning this to pick fights?" Han Leng’s face hardened. He didn’t want Tang Qing to misuse his knowledge.

"No, no, you misunderstood, I’m just learning this for self-protection, and also to control my strength without hurting people," Tang Qing quickly explained, raising his hands. He had no interest in fighting.

Why so?

Fighting personally would be pointless if he were to be the boss.

He was purely interested in learning to control his strength and identify vulnerable spots on the human body to avoid inadvertently killing someone. He couldn’t always assume that no one would ever want to harm him in the future.

"Hehe, hurt someone? Looking at your skinny arms and legs, maybe you should start with strength and endurance training?" Han Leng sarcastically responded while scrutinizing Tang Qing.

Han Leng didn’t believe that Tang Qing could hurt anyone, given his thin arms and legs, unless he struck vital spots. Tang might have changed his mind if he had seen Tang Qing’s abs. Getting those was no joke, they didn’t come from being skinny; it was impossible without hard training.

"Um, I think I can go straight to combat training. How about we skip the strength and endurance part? Besides, I think I’m quite strong." Tang Qing said weakly.

"How are you going to fight without strength? Even if it’s for self-preservation, how are you going to protect yourself if you can’t beat your enemy? Here’s the thing, if you can make this sandbag swing more than 20 degrees, you can skip endurance training." Han Leng sternly advised. His advice was practical - self-protection required defeating the opponent. How would learning to get hit help? He certainly didn’t teach that here.

Indeed, he made the request to challenge Tang Qing. Even Han Leng himself could only swing the sandbag 40 degrees at best given his sturdy body and innate advantage. An ordinary soldier after two years might find it difficult to swing the sandbag 30 degrees.

Besides, the sandbag isn’t an ordinary one; he made it himself. It’s not made of leather but several layers of dense hemp, filled with sorghum, weighing over a hundred pounds. One could push it, even run with it, but attacking it solely with fist strength and causing it to swing proves difficult. You could easily lift a hundred-pound bag of rice, but try kicking it - if you can move it 10 cm, you have considerable strength.

"Let me give it a try." Tang Qing rolled up his sleeves, ready to go. He didn’t want to waste valuable time on fitness training. As for swinging the sandbag 20 degrees, it didn’t seem difficult to him.

"Give it your all." Han Leng reminded him, wanting to gauge Tang Qing’s skills effectively and showing him his place in the world at the same time.

"Really give it my all?" Tang Qing asked dubiously. He knew his punch was mighty, but he wasn’t sure of its limit. He knew it was terrifying, though. A few days ago, while walking home absent-mindedly, he punched a brick on the roadside. His punch shattered the brick instantly without rupturing his skin, leaving a dull pain that disappeared shortly. If that punch hit someone, it would either be lethal or severely incapacitating.

PS: Here comes the third Chapter. Recommendations are appreciated, dear readers!

Also, this book recently got a new synopsis. Have a look if you haven’t read it yet. I wasn’t satisfied with the first two versions as they were too weak and unappealing.

The new synopsis represents the main plotline and core content of this book.

From now on, let’s whip the world together and settle the score.
