What Alma hadn't expected was that Nyx would be cooking one of the giant rats, its beheaded head was still resting over the bloodied floor, and it looked hideous. She felt both shocked and disgusted, almost puking.
"Ugh, Nyx, why do you have that there still?"
Fran, who had fallen asleep for a while over the bed, resting at the side of Alma, was also a bit shocked to see the ugly head.
"Sorry! Hahaha…"
Nyx quickly cleansed her surroundings while pouring some soy sauce, salt, and other spices on top of her meat. She was making huge beef steaks of Nightmare Rat over olive oil, with spices on top, she was also grilling a huge piece of the cleanest, white meat of the Nightmare Catfish, and lastly, she was also grilling the huge thighs of the Nightmare Frogs.
They were almost done, their red and white colors gone as they gained toast colors and were constantly letting out their juices, while the smell of the soy sauce and other spices on top of them made both girls present droll.
"I-I can't believe she's cooking the monsters…" Alma muttered, gulping saliva. "We can't eat those; we'll get poisoned or something…"
"R-Right…" Fran nodded. "She made some tasty stew using normal beef though, right?"
"Yeah it must be done!" Said Nyx, opening the lid to reveal the stew was done, with a delicious red color, the potatoes and carrots floating on top, alongside some pieces of onion and meat.
The "soup" had become very thick, and it had a delicious smell, Nyx was the first to taste a little potato with her wooden spoon.
"Hmm! It's done, phew…!" she let out some steam from her mouth while munching. "I think it's good enough, nom… Alright!"
Nyx quickly placed a table made of wood, and plates on top of it, and then she glanced at the girls.
"Alma do you want me to bring your food to bed?" wondered Nyx. "Or can you sit down? Do you feel like you can or not?"
"I-I think I'll try to sit down…" Alma nodded. "Thank you Nyx… It's amazing how you pull things out of nowhere…"
"Hahah, that's the power of my Little Shadow Realm!" Said Nyx. "Just like mama, I can store stuff inside my Shadows. It's pretty cool, right?"
"Yeah, it's great!" Fran said. "I want a power like that too… it would help me so much! But I think I would end up using it to steal food…"
"Hahah, it's tempting," Alma giggled cutely.
The two girls sat down as Nyx put some plates with stew in front of them, gave them fork and spoons, and also offered some juice cans for them to drink as well.
Lastly, Nyx went to fetch her meat and sat down, while also giving herself a serving of the stew.
"It looks delicious, let's dig in then!" Nyx smiled.
"Yeah!" Fran and Alma roared in unison; they were starving.
Without further ado, the girls began eating nonstop, the stew was flavorful and delicious, the tomato flavor mixed with the chicken broth, the beef, potatoes, carrots, and everything else was heavenly for these starving girls.
"Oh wow this is good… It reminds me of my grandma's stew," said Alma. "But she always added goat meat instead, and also pumpkin."
"Really? Sound yummy too," said Fran while drinking juice. "Phew… Oh?"
However, the two girls glanced at Nyx devouring a giant frog thigh that was roasted, each of her bites took a big chunk of the white meat.
It looked just like roasted chicken at that, and Nyx seemed to be enjoying it.
"Hmm! It's good enough! Tastes like roasted chicken." She said. "Nom, nom, nom!"
She finished the whole thing in a few more bites, moving towards the catfish, she took a large chunk of it, which looked like tuna, and ate it whole.
"Nom nom nom…"
Her cheeks were big and full like those of a hamster, until she swallowed, Nyx sighed in relief.
"Phew that one was a big chunk! It's nice and delicious, more than I imagined! The spices sure help…"
She then moved to the huge, juicy Nightmare Rat steaks, she ate them with a single bite, she found them chewy and juicy, tasty.
"Not bad! Not the best but also pretty fine I think!"
Fran and Alma were constantly swallowing saliva while watching this scene, constantly being reminded of the delicious things Nyx was eating as they tried to enjoy their lunch.
"Phewww! I ate it all, I'm full now!"
Until she was finally done, patting her big belly.
"It was delicious~ I think I won't be eating anything else for a while now… I'm too fool," muttered Nyx, yawning. "And I'm sleepy now too… Did you girls finished? Do you want a second bowl of stew?"
"We're good…" Alma said.
"Thank you for the meal Nyx!" Fran said.
"Okay, I'll go take a nap now then!" Nyx quickly brought over another bed, sitting over there and then falling asleep like a log.
Only both girls were left behind awake, they decided to clean the dishes for Nyx, who was so tired she fell asleep instantly.
"So, um, Alma…" Fran asked.
"Yes?" Alma wondered.
"Y-You don't remember how I gave you the… the potion, right?" Fran wondered, blushing a bit.
"Huh? What potion?" Alma wondered.
"N-Nothing! It's better if you don't remember… Hahah," Fran giggled mysteriously.
"Anyway, we're done here…" Alma said. "I'll go back to bed for a while… I'm so tired."
"Okay, I'll go as well, let's sleep for now," Fran nodded, walking to her side.
The two girls cuddled over the bed, and with Nyx sleeping, several hours passed.
The Snowdragon and the Snowdad remained outside the room, looking around for any potential danger, while taking down any potential threats.
Like that, the three girls slept for almost seven hours, before slowly waking up at long last, gasping in disbelief they've spent so long sleeping.
"W-We have to get going, there's still someone trapped here, uwaaah!"
"Yeah, let's hurry!"
"My bad, I slept too much! I'm so sorryyyyy!"
The girls ran out of the area they found as quickly as possible!
