The chaos was very exciting, and some people like general Drusus were all for it. The more, the better they thought. But the general was not the only one that was excited. The thoughts above Phoebe's head were announcing her pleasure broadly to those that could see them.

Perhaps they had been updated because now, they came with moving emoticons!!!

[Fight! Fight! Fight!!]

As Phoebe thought of this, the emoticons above her head cheered on, waving banners with the words fight. In her womb, Star, the origin of the mischief was giggling.

Meanwhile, the Saxon's and Mayfair's were torn between watching Maureen beat the shit out of Dorothy Cook or Phoebe and her new abnormality.

"Are you seeing this David?" Andre whispered.

David nodded. He looked at Luke and Collin and they nodded. Grandma Mayfair decided to poke the emoticons and see if something change.

There was no change which made her relieved or disappointed. She could not decide which it was. Meanwhile, Star was disappointed that she had not reacted quickly enough and shocked her grandmother.

Phoebe was glued to Maureen's fight, so she did not notice everyone looking at her strangely.

"It is never a dull day with the Mayfair's." Nini Saxon laughed. One was fighting and one was doing something weird with her thoughts.

"Why can't she move into the tower already?" Valerie groaned regretfully. If she was living with them, they would see her weird thoughts all the time.

One enforcer intervened, he lifted Maureen with one hand and with ease as if she weighed no more than a newborn baby. He them dumped her in her seat and stood to the side with his arms folded. The warning in his body language was clear, if she moved, he would make her sit down

The hall went quiet as the council judges entered and took their sits.

"Bring all the criminals in." Head judge Agatha ordered the enforcers to bring the criminals in groups. It was done this way because they were many.

When the first group was brought in, Phoebe identified Morgan Montgomery and Derek Cumberbatch whom Luke identified for her as she was unfamiliar with the man. Whispers broke out immediately when the man raised his arm to say something.

"Silence!" Agatha commanded, bringing down the gravel. "Mr. Cumberbatch are you aware that you do not speak in this court unless you are spoken to? Put your hand down you have nothing to say that will affect this trial." She snarled; her fingers tightened around the hammer.

"But I was denied a lawyer! How is this a fair trial when I lack representation? This is not the way of the council trials, you cannot change the laws to suit your will." Cumberbatch forced the words through split lips.

Again, the hammer met the gravel, silencing him. "It was I that decided that you do not get legal representatives, as head judge. It is my right depending on the circumstances. I have seen the evidence against you, and it is damning, like I said nothing you say can change the outcome of this trial. We judges are simply going to vote on whether you are innocent or guilty." She adjusted her glasses. "All of the accused that are standing here are charged with treason. You betrayed humanity through your alliance with demons and indulgence in dark magic. The punishment for these crimes will be execution. Death by poison, hanging, burning at a cross, being stoned to death, being drowned or being buried alive. All those in favor say 'aye'." She listed the crimes and punishments calmly and then raised her hand first.

Without hesitation the hands of the council judges began to go up, one by one until it was a unanimous vote agreeing to the punishments given to the criminals.

Agatha's hummer met the gravel, pounding it three times to calm the crowd.

Murmurs rose from the onlookers, such punishments were considered barbaric and had not been given to anyone in a long time, the fact that they were back scared many.

"This is not fair!" Morgan cried, her knees melted as she fell to the floor. "I gave you all the names of the people that are working with Azur, the least you can do is to show me some mercy!" She lamented but her pleas fell on deaf ears, her fate had been decided she was to die that day before nightfall.

Her words however caused commotion to break out among the crowd, many were hearing about this for the first time.

"The demon Azur?" An old man asked, his confused eyes gazing at his neighbor.

"Is he not locked away in the academy prisons?" A woman clutched her stomach area; it churned from fear and not hunger.

"My God!" One gasped, making the sign of the cross.

Agatha ordered for order to return to the hall, once it went quiet, she began to speak. "Yes, Azur is out there and now I hope that you all understand that we are going to uproot anyone and everyone that is working with that sly demon by all means possible. The only punishment you will get for siding with the enemy is death, so I advise you all to be cautious. No matter what promises or threats are made to you, it is best if you come to the council or the academy for help. As long as you have not been tainted, we will help and protect you at all costs. Be warned, evil is among us, and it is seeking to destroy all our ancestors built. Be wise and make the same choice our ancestors did. Reject it do not be like them." She cautioned strongly, her threats landing straight in their ears. Her gaze shifted to the criminals. "Take them away." She ordered the enforcers.

"No_no_no!" Derek screamed, his head bobbing around with his eyes roaming the crowd as if he was searching for someone. "Save me please! You said that you will protect me now is the time to do that!" He bellowed protests even as they hauled him off.

Phoebe's eyes roamed around like as though she could identify the person that Derek was crying out to for help and she saw uneasy faces. "Everyone looks terrified." She mumbled.

"Good." Came Luna's response. "The only way these stupid fools from the founding families are going to get their senses back is by instilling fear in them. How can they side with demons? If the first line of defense is breached, then we are all screwed. These families are supposed to protect the rest of us and yet they are doing the most harm__disgusting." She screwed up her nose.

All that Phoebe could do was let out a loud and heavy sigh, she continued to watch Agatha reading out the names of each criminal and what means would be used to execute them. She invited those that were interested to watch the executions and warned the families of those involved to be ready because they would be investigated too.

By the end of that warning, Phoebe was certain that none of the people that attended would dare to entertain any demons.
