Chapter 124: Chapter 124: Encountering the Vixen as Soon as I Leave the House

"We still have to work, let’s go back first." Si Chen turned to leave.

Tong Yao wasn’t going to let him go so easily. She followed Si Chen outside with short hurried steps and shamelessly asked, "You’ve met me before, haven’t you? When did you meet me?! I don’t remember ever seeing you, you’ve liked me for a long time, right?"

Si Chen turned his head and saw Tong Yao hopping up and down like a lively rabbit, running towards Tong Yaohui.

At that time, Tong Yao was only seventeen years old. Her face had a youthful innocence with childlike rounded cheeks. But her beautiful features and sparkling eyes gave away the signs of a budding beauty. He knew she would grow into a beautiful girl in a few years.

A smile formed at the corners of Tong Yao’s mouth, "So you fell in love with me at that glance?"

Si Chen originally wanted to correct her, but seeing how excited and triumphant Tong Yao was, he swallowed his words and faintly hummed in agreement, in acknowledgment of her assumption.

"Why didn’t you tell me you liked me sooner?" Tong Yao was as elated as a bird at the moment to the point that she wanted to fly around Si Chen. "I thought you were in love with Shiya and kept guessing all this while."

Fearful that she might have been reading too much into things, Tong Yao had always reminded herself never to fall for Si Chen. She dared not express her feelings and never anticipated that he had been secretly in love with her for ages.

Now, she felt like she had just opened a huge gift package of happiness, her heart was filled with joy.

It couldn’t be denied that she was also in love with Si Chen. She had just been afraid that he didn’t feel the same way so she hadn’t dared to reveal her feelings. But now that she understood Si Chen’s feelings, she no longer had any reservations.

People always say that you shouldn’t marry a man if your parents aren’t on board, but Si Chen was someone her father had approved of. Surely, there couldn’t be anything wrong with her choice?

The two of them stood at the telephone booth. One was standing with a bicycle, and the other was acting like a happy and playful child holding the back of the bicycle. The people passing by were looking at them strangely. Many of them couldn’t resist turning back to watch, even after passing them.
