Chapter 324: Chapter 324 Si Chen Takes a Stand

It’s said that mothers-in-law always spoil their sons-in-law; that’s certainly true, but there’s a condition, the son-in-law must first spoil their daughter.

"I was just saying, why are you making a fuss?" Seeing his wife was even angrier than his daughter, Tong Yaohui spoke helplessly, "We both understand Si Chen’s temperament, you shouldn’t fan the flames."

She hasn’t even completed her month-long recovery from her miscarriage and Tong Yao has already physically attacked her; this is too egregious."

Through the door, Tong Yao could guess that Si Weimin must have had a solemn expression, backing his authority as the elder to pressure Si Chen.

In her view, Si Weimin was losing face by not educating Xiaohui not to insult people, but chose to educate her instead.

Tong Yao didn’t rush to get in, instead stood at the door to listen to Si Chen’s attitude on the matter. Soon enough, Si Chen’s voice emanated from the inside.

Inside the room, Si Chen, at the news of Tong Yao hitting Xiaohui, his face darkened as he icily stared at Si Weimin. "What does it matter, whatever has happened has happened. How do you want to deal with this, avenge by hitting her back?"

Unexpected by Si Weimin’s attitude, he was left fuming and gruffly responded, "Tong Yao is my niece, it wouldn’t be becoming of me to hit her. Regardless, Tong Yao is wrong for hitting someone. There is no need for the sisters-in-law to have such discord, if Tong Yao would apologize to Xiaohui we’ll consider the matter settled."

Lin Fengying, who was present, appeared to agree with Si Weimin’s assertion, keeping quiet throughout and letting her younger brother and son discuss the issue.

She didn’t show her stance, yet it was the most direct stance. It was clear that she also thought Tong Yao should apologize to Xiaohui.

Si Chen fell silent, contemplating how to handle this situation. After a while, he gravely said, "Yaoyao is too proud to apologize; causing discord would be more suitable. Go back and tell Xiaohui to pretend as if they don’t have a sister-in-law relation from now on."

She didn’t expect that her son would back Tong Yao up to this extent, she could barely say a word. Lin Fengying’s face went purple from anger, she was about to say something when the room door suddenly swung wide open.

Tong Yao spoke not loudly but with confidence, which left Lin Fengying speechless.

Tong Yao snorted coldly, she got a chair and sat next to Si Chen, scoffed, "Uncle, I believe those words should be mine! It’s not that I have any dissatisfaction with you, but you have with me. In Si Weimin’s eyes, it seemed like Lin Fengying was being too heavily oppressed by Tong Yao at home and she couldn’t fight back. He thought Si Chen was heartless, for allowing his wife to bully his mother.

He was now more angry. He stifled his anger and said, "Sister-in-law, leave this matter to me."

Today he was determined to defend his sister in law and Xiaohui and teach Tong Yao a good lesson.
