Chapter 443: Chapter 443 - I want to talk to you about my affairs with Achun
When Tong Yao arrived at the milk tea shop, she saw a car parked at the entrance, a car she recognized. It was the same car she rode when she went to the suburbs with Wang Chun last time.
She thought Wang Chun had returned. Her eyes lit up, but when she walked into the shop, she found out it was Zhao Wenkai sitting inside.
Deng Wenwen quickly walked over to Tong Yao and whispered, "Sister Yaoyao, this man has been here for a while, he said he’s looking for you." Looking at him, she felt this man was anything but ordinary. She wasn’t sure if he was here to make trouble or something else.
Just as a customer walked into the shop to buy milk tea, Tong Yao nodded to Wenwen, "You go take care of that."
Dismissing Wenwen, Tong Yao directly sat down across from Zhao Wenkai and confronted him, "Mr. Zhao, what brings you here?"
Ever since she found out about his affair with Lin Man, Tong Yao’s impression of Zhao Wenkai was far from good, so she didn’t treat him with a particularly pleasant tone.
Zhao Wenkai adjusted his sitting position, crossing his legs and leaning on the back of the chair, "I want to talk about me and Achun."
Tong Yao scoffed, "To help you hide your affair from Achun?"
Seeing him appearing in the shop, Tong Yao already guessed his purpose for coming.
Basically, he just wanted her to keep quiet.
After all, Zhao Wenkai couldn’t restrain Wang Chun’s freedom. Sooner or later, Wang Chun would meet her.
Previously, he had been arrogant and unafraid of anything. He even directly took Wang Chun travelling. Now, he seemed rather anxious.
"Yes."
Zhao Wenkai did not deny it. He admitted unabashedly and extended an olive branch, "Miss Tong, as long as you agree, you can make any request. As long as it’s something I can do, I will try to satisfy you. You wanted to buy a property last time, didn’t you? What if I gave you one outright? Now that you’ve divorced Dr. Si, you no longer need to worry about affecting his career, right? Accepting a house should not be a problem, right?"
Zhao Wenkai always firmly believed that there must not be a person who could resist temptation. If there was, then the temptation was not big enough.
No need to guess, it must have been Lin Man who told him. Tong Yao mocked, "Mr. Zhao, you are well-informed. I’ve only just returned for a couple of days, haven’t I?"
"I don’t have the time to argue with you here. You better think about what kind of request could maximize your benefit!" said Zhao Wenkai.
Tong Yao rolled her eyes, "You do such disgusting things with Lin Man, yet you fear criticism?"
She suddenly smirked, "If Mr. Zhao really cares about Achun that much, why not transfer all your shareholdings to Achun?"
Men are unreliable. The most important thing is to have more money. As a friend, Tong Yao wasn’t exactly sure how to help Wang Chun minimize the damage. All she could do is to try to help secure the largest possible benefits.
Zhao Wenkai narrowed his eyes dangerously. He wasn’t quite sure what Tong Yao was up to, but thinking about Wang Chun, he still replied. "Half of the company’s shares already belong to Achun."
"Then it would be best if you promptly cut off all contact with Lin Man. In the future, you better treat Achun well. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee that I will be able to keep my mouth shut," said Tong Yao.
Zhao Wenkai threatened her, "You better keep your mouth shut. Or else, you will be killing Achun. If anything happens to her, I will not only bury your whole family, but even your ex-husband won’t be spared."
"What do you mean?" Tong Yao caught the key point in Zhao Wenkai’s words. "Why would Achun die if she found out about your affair?"
Wang Chun really loved Zhao Wenkai. She knew that, but would she resort to suicide?
Hearing the word ’affair’, Zhao Wenkai’s face turned very dark. "Achun’s heart is weak. She can’t take shocks. It’s getting worse and worse. I’ve arranged for the best doctors overseas. I’ll take her abroad for treatment tomorrow. She’ll come to see you in the afternoon. Miss Tong, you better know how to keep your mouth shut!"
Tong Yao questioned him, "Achun never mentioned any of this."
"Achun is kind. She doesn’t want her loved ones to worry about her," Zhao Wenkai said.
Tong Yao hadn’t realized that the kind-hearted Wang Chun had heart disease. She was now going abroad for treatment. Given the extent of Wang Chun’s love for Zhao Wenkai, if she learnt the truth, it might well cost her life.
Tong Yao composed herself, looking at him steadily, "Mr. Zhao, if you truly care for Achun, stop doing things that hurt her. I can keep quiet about this matter, but the truth will come out eventually. Do you really think Lin Man willingly lingers in the dark?"
Zhao Wenkai leaned languidly on the back of his chair, "Since you know everything, there’s no need for me to hide it from you. Achun has a heart problem and can’t have children. As time goes on, pressure from both families will increase. Thus, my relationship with Lin Man is just a charade to have a child."
He will grow old one day and eventually pass on his business to the next generation. But he obviously could not let a person unconnected by blood inherit it. He chose Lin Man because she happened to be able to help him at the time. Additionally, Lin Man had no familial backing, which made her easier to manage.
Once the child is born, they could use his mother to make a show of adopting the child, follow all the procedures and in the future, Lin Man can raise the child as if it were her own. He didn’t expect this to impact their relationship.
He could get many benefits at once. What was not good about that?
However, he has changed his mind now. Lin Man’s family has already caused trouble at the company. Zhao Wenyu is also involved now, making this path no longer practicable.
"You are truly disgusting. You expect Wang Chun to raise the child begotten by you and your mistress? Are you really trying to enrage her to death?" Tong Yao felt the urge to punch Zhao Wenkai. This man was too despicable. He even dared to entertain such thoughts.
"Miss Tong, you really don’t need to get so worked up." Knowing that Tong Yao would keep quiet, Zhao Wenkai laughs coldly as he stood up, "You should be glad that you truly consider Wang Chun a friend and didn’t exploit her. Otherwise..."
He didn’t finish his sentence, but the chilling smile on his face made his meaning clear.
Tong Yao did not doubt Zhao Wenkai’s threats. But if it wasn’t for Wang Chun’s heart condition, she wouldn’t help Zhao Wenkai keep his secret. Besides, Si Chen was already heading overseas. Remembering something, Tong Yao pointed at the milk tea shop across the street, "Did you open the Coco Milk Tea Shop?"

Wenwen was terrified, Tong Yao and that man didn’t try to lower their voices, so she roughly understood the situation.
This man was Wang Chun’s husband, who had cheated on her with Lin Man. And now he was threatening Tong Yao, fearing that she would spill his secrets.
