Chapter 511: Chapter 511: Your Biological Father is in Jail

"A snot-nosed little girl dares to lay her hands on people? She must be fed up with life." Lin Fengying’s uncle pointed at Tong Yao and roared in fury, stretching out his hand to drag Tong Yao off the bullock cart. But Gu Hongwei and Si Boyi quickly intervened to block him.

Gu Hongwei commanded with a icy stare, "I’ve told you before. If you have any issues, talk to me. Don’t involve others."

Si Boyi watched the crowd with a wary glare. As long as he was there, no one would be able to bully Tong Yao. His brother had instructed him to take good care of her.

It was their family who had wronged Tong Yao in the first place; they couldn’t allow her to be bullied here.

"What good is it talking to you? You watched as I was hit, did you come to my aid?" Gu’s aunt scolded, pointing at Gu Hongwei, her eyes bulging with fury. "You useless wretch, always favoring outsiders over your own aunt. If I had known you’d turn out this way, I would’ve smothered you in your sleep."

Knowing they couldn’t escape, Guo Jinnian and Tong Yao dismounted from the bullock cart, one from the front and one from the back. They weren’t afraid, and Guo Jinnian even rolled up her sleeves in preparation for a fight. It had been a while since she’d had a good brawl.

She remembered the last fight she had was when someone was jealous of her making money and tried to have her beaten up.

"You can have the land, just let them go." Gu Hongwei intended to placate these people to allow Tong Yao and Guo Jinnian to escape.

"It’s too late for that. Unless these two brats kneel down and apologize, nobody is going anywhere."

Aunt Gu’s oldest and youngest sons attempted to apprehend Tong Yao and Guo Jinnian but were blocked by Gu Hongwei and Si Boyi. However, several other men held them back. 𝓃𝓸𝓿𝓹𝓾𝓫.𝓬ℴ𝓶

Seeing them approach, Tong Yao stepped back to avoid their reaching hands while Guo Jinnian rushed forward, kicking one of them over. To their surprise, Guo Jinnian, a young girl, was incredibly strong, throwing Aunt Gu’s two sons straight onto their backs.

The uneven ground made their fall even harder, causing them to writhe in pain.

Witnessing her two sons knocked down, Aunt Gu was heartbroken and rushed over to help her youngest son back on his feet, muttering several curse words. Guo Jinnian tried to deliver a few more kicks but was held back by Tong Yao.

She quietly whispered a few words into Guo Jinnian’s ear, at which Guo Jinnian’s eyes lit up. While everyone was still in shock, she kicked a man carrying a sickle, quickly taking his weapon and pressing it against the throat of Aunt Gu’s youngest son, who was just getting back on his feet.

This sudden action shocked everyone. Even though they had been aggressive, none of them had intended to take things to the level of murder. Their plan was to use their numbers to intimidate and beat Tong Yao and Guo Jinnian, and then take the land in the process.

They hadn’t expected Guo Jinnian to pull such a move.

Scared stiff, Aunt Gu’s son’s legs wobbled as he stammered, "What, what are you doing?"

Aunt Gu and her husband were shocked into silence. Terrified, their voices shook, "You, you listen here, if you dare hurt a single hair on my son’s head, I swear I will make you pay with your life."

"Well, how about we see whose life ends first?"

Guo Jinnian purposely nicked Aunt Gu’s son’s skin with the sickle, terrifying him even more.

He roared in anger, "My life is in her hands! Why are you people still shouting?"

Aunt Gu and her husband were extremely fond of their youngest son. Seeing this scene, they dared not make a single sound. The others were similarly scared silent. They weren’t here to escalate the situation to actual violence, especially if there wasn’t any benefit for them at all.

Seeing the atmosphere under control, Tong Yao ordered the men, "Let Hongwei and Boyi go."

Without waiting for Aunt Gu to respond, the men quickly let go of Gu Hongwei and Si Boyi. The two then moved to stand protectively by Tong Yao’s side.

Watching this scene from the edge of the sorghum field, Si Xiaohui was furious at how useless the men were. More than a dozen of them, yet they couldn’t handle two women.

As she was thinking this, Tong Yao’s chilly gaze landed on her. Startled, Si Xiaohui instinctively tried to mount her bicycle and flee, only to hear Tong Yao say to Si Boyi.

"Boyi, it was Xiaohui who rode her bicycle to carry Aunt Hongwei back to the village. Otherwise, these people wouldn’t have arrived so quickly."

Only then did Si Boyi notice Si Xiaohui. Instantly, he was engulfed in fury. Striding over, he grabbed Si Xiaohui who was trying to get away, "Was it really you?"

"Second Brother, you’re just going to trust this absurd nonsense? I came here just to watch the commotion." Si Xiaohui vehemently denied.

Unbeknownst to her, Aunt Gu shouted out, "It was her who brought me back."

If it wasn’t for Si Xiaohui, she wouldn’t have gotten here so quickly. And there wouldn’t be a sickle at her son’s throat.

"You heartless... I kindly gave you a ride home, and you traitorous..."

Seeing Aunt Gu turning against her, Si Xiaohui was about to spit out a curse when she received two slaps to her face. Si Boyi did not hold back at all; Si Xiaohui’s head rung with the impacts. Her face visibly swelled.

"Second Brother, you hit me? You hit me for Tong Yao, this shameless woman?" Si Xiaohui glared sinisterly at Si Boyi. "Am I not your own flesh and blood sister? You actually took the side of an outsider and assaulted me?"

Her words obviously struck a nerve with Si Boyi. Ignoring the presence of others, he revealed secrets that were virtually public knowledge by now.

"Big Brother and I never acknowledged you as a sister. Your biological father is in jail."

"You, you shut up. What are you talking about?" Shocked by Si Boyi’s words, Si Xiaohui’s face turned pale. She had not expected Si Boyi to expose her secret publicly like this. If the news were to circulate, how could she ever face people?

Indeed, ever since meeting Si Weimin in the city, Si Xiaohui started to doubt her identity. Later, she overheard a conversation between her mother and Si Weimin and realized the truth about her parentage.

Leveraging this secret, she felt emboldened to act impudently in front of Si Weimin, demanding various things and wishing to keep Lin Fengying in Kyoto in order to live a life like a three-member family.

However, she did not expect that her second brother would also know about her secret, and that he’d air it publicly.

Si Boyi gave her a stern glance, which made Si Xiaohui shiver. She didn’t dare to linger, quickly mounting her bike and fleeing. She didn’t dare to cry either.

Now that her second brother knew about her identity, he would not pamper her as he used to.

She had lost her leverage.

"Murder is a crime, let my son go!" Aunt Gu had no appetite for watching the drama. She was worried that Guo Jinnian might accidentally slit her son’s throat.

Tong Yao paid her no mind, gesturing silently for Hongwei and Boyi to assist the scared witless old man onto the bullock cart.

Once they were up, she had Guo Jinnian, still holding Aunt Gu’s youngest son at knife point, climb up too. Seeing Aunt Gu’s husband try to approach, Tong Yao immediately said, "Stay where you are. If you move we really may just kill your son. You all came at us with weapons, so if we killed him, it’d be self-defense. We wouldn’t go to jail."

Upon hearing those words, Aunt Gu’s son pleaded with his parents, "Dad, Mom, please don’t move. I don’t want to die."
