Upon hearing Tong Yao’s words, Guo Jinnian was feeling like he was all hyped up, as if a new game had started, "Yaoyao, you said that. Hongwei will witness it. When we go back to Kyoto, I will take Uncle Tong and Aunt Wen as my godparents. You cannot back out."
Tong Yao laughed, "Do you still need to formally recognize them? You’re already the godmother of my baby, doesn’t that mean my parents are your parents?"
Guo Jinnian chuckled stupidly, "I guess I still can’t think straight, they’ve made me so mad."
However upset she was, Guo Jinnian reasoned for a while and finally made a decision, "Yaoyao, I’ve thought it over. Since we can’t think of anything better, let’s just sell the house! As long as they don’t get anything out of it, I’d rather donate everything."
We only paid three thousand yuan for the house when we bought it. She knew she would make much more money in the future, and if the house went to them, it would be the death of her.
Tong Yao nodded, "Selling it will be the best. If you plan to develop in Kyoto in the future, save some money and buy a house there. Even if it’s a bit out of the way, it has a much better appreciation potential than your house in this county."

They both ran to the balcony to get some fresh air. After a while, Gu Hongwei said, "Why don’t you take a break! I’m going out for a bit."
Guo Jinnian thought Gu Hongwei wanted to escape, so she stopped him promptly, "Gu Hongwei, that’s not fair! I didn’t hold back when I was fighting for you, and now it’s your time to repay me. I am not the kind of person who doesn’t expect repayment for my kindness."
Gu Hongwei twitched the corner of his mouth and said with a frown, "I’m not leaving, I’m just going to buy some cigarettes downstairs."
Guo Jinnian looked at him suspiciously, "Since when did you start smoking?"
Gu Hongwei didn’t answer, he just passed her and left the house. After a while, he returned with some cigarettes, lit one in the room, and started smoking in front of Guo Jinnian without any hesitation.
The smell of the cigarette flooded the room and surprisingly, the stench was not so strong anymore.
Guo Jinnian looked Gu Hongwei up and down suspiciously, sneered and said, "Of all the things you could learn, you learnt to smoke. How come you’ve never smoked in front of Yaoyao, are you afraid she will scold you?"
Gu Hongwei closed his lips and said, "Yaoyao is pregnant. The smell of smoke is harmful to the fetus."
He paused, and added, "It’s not good for anyone if they inhale too much."
Upon hearing this, Guo Jinnian covered her mouth and nose quickly and kept a distance of two or three meters from Gu Hongwei, "Gu Hongwei, I knew you had ill intentions. If you know that the smell of smoke is harmful, why do you smoke in front of me? Do you want me to die?"
Gu Hongwei looked at Guo Jinnian’s exaggerated actions and explained with a frown, "I just said that excessive inhalation is not good. Inhaling a little bit won’t affect your lifespan. I smoked in the room to cover up the stench."

Both of them were busy cleaning up the room till noon. Only by then did they manage to clean the house thoroughly. Before leaving, they left all the windows open to air out the house.
After spending so much time in the house, she didn’t smell any foul odors, especially with the help of the cigarette smoke. But that didn’t mean there was no smell.
Watching her hard-earned first house, Guo Jinnian felt a bit reluctant. She sighed, "After cleaning up this house, I just can’t live in it. Just thinking about it makes me feel sick. We’ll stay in the hotel for the next few days until the housing certificate is done. Then we’ll go to Kyoto."
Gu Hongwei nodded and locked the door for her as he left. They then went to find Tong Yao at the inn. Once they arrived at the inn, they changed their clothes before going to eat.
In the afternoon, they went to the Housing Bureau and enquired about the process of obtaining a housing certificate. They learned that as long as they have a house purchasing receipt and residency registration, they could get their housing certificate. They were all quite happy, and hadn’t expected that obtaining a certificate would be so easy.
