Chapter 614: Chapter 614: Si Chen Calls
Tong Yao had anticipated that Fu Sen was calling about this, but she was still delighted when he asked. It appeared that Fu Sen had a high regard for the E Country goods that were arriving.

Guo Jinnian asked, "Yaoyao, was that Fu Sen who just called? Is he coming to inspect the goods tomorrow?"
Tong Yao nodded, her voice strong, "We made an arrangement for tomorrow at three in the afternoon, to inspect the goods at the warehouse downstairs. I believe Fu Sen places heavy emphasis on these goods. He has established a wide network in Kyoto, supported by his family assets. As long as we can secure stable cooperation with him, it will save us a lot of trouble. If something happens, he will help us resolve it."
On hearing this, Guo Jinnian was thrilled, "That’s great! I reckon Fu Sen is a very savvy type, and he is capable too. If average people were to compete against him, I’m certain they wouldn’t win."
Gu Hongwei joined in, "You’ve got it right this time, Fu Sen is indeed cunning, but since Ah Chen introduced him to us, it means his character is up to par. We don’t have to worry too much."
Tong Yao nodded in agreement with a smile, "Definitely. Fu Sen is quite ingenious and cunning, but he isn’t the type of person without bottom lines. If he approves of the goods, there won’t be any issues with cooperation."
After all, as merchants, we tend to prioritize our own interests. As long as everyone gets their fair share without resorting to underhanded tactics that harm others for personal gain, everything will be fine.
After hearing both Tong Yao and Gu Hongwei’s assessment of Fu Sen, Guo Jinnian felt at ease.
Just as Tong Yao was about to get a cup of hot water, her phone rang again. She recognized it as an international number and her face instantly lit up, "It’s Ah Chen."
At her words, Guo Jinnian and Gu Hongwei shared a quick glance before they quietly exited the room, pulling Guo Miaomiao along.
It wasn’t appropriate for them to intrude on the couple’s conversation.
Seeing the three of them quietly leave, Tong Yao couldn’t help but laugh. On the other end of the line, Si Chen asked, "What’s making you so happy?"
Without giving any thought to whether Si Chen could see her, Tong Yao shook her head subconsciously, "Nothing really. Ah Chen, when are your holidays? Sister Hu will be back tomorrow. Fu Sen just called and we arranged for a meeting tomorrow afternoon for the goods inspection. Do you think there is anything I need to watch out for?"
"It’s more than a week away," upon hearing about Fu Sen’s call, Si Chen said calmly, "You just need to remember that both you and Fu Sen are business people and will prioritize your own interests."
Tong Yao reflected on Si Chen’s words and nodded, "I got it."
After discussing a few business matters, Tong Yao also told Si Chen about her plan to buy a van, "We really need a small car right now. It would make deliveries and other tasks a lot easier. Si Chen had no objections, "Then get one, do you have enough money?"
Tong Yao replied, "The compensation we are supposed to receive from the demolition probably won’t arrive until next year, so we’re planning on taking out a loan for the car. The car will be under the company’s name, and the loan will be taken out in the name of the breeding farm."
"That works," Si Chen also thought it made sense and asked, "Have your eating habits been alright? How is your sleep? Any discomfort in your stomach? Has the baby started moving?"
Tong Yao was taken aback by the sudden barrage of questions, laughing, "I’ve had an excellent appetite recently, and I’ve been sleeping well. Although she knows that all mothers-to-be will have to go through these changes, she still hopes that she can retain her beauty as much as possible and become an attractive pregnant woman.
After giving birth, she wants to be a beautiful mom.
So, at the very least, when people see her walking with Si Chen, they won’t think that he was short-changed by marrying her.
Sensing her anxiety, Si Chen gently reassured her, "You don’t need to worry about putting on weight. At present, they lived in the suburbs, which was quite a distance from the milk tea shop. It was a bit inconvenient for Guo Miaomiao to travel for work, so they considered renting a place for Guo Miaomiao near the shop.
Finally, they agreed to first send Guo Miaomiao to the Milk tea shop for training the next day, then look for a house, and once all this was settled, they would go and pick up Hu Haiyun.
After dinner, Tong Yao went to bed early. Guo Jinnian and Guo Miaomiao, however, watched television on the sofa until late into the night, so they simply decided to sleep on the sofa. It wasn’t until the next morning when Gu Hongwei arrived that they came down to freshen up.
Gu Hongwei didn’t understand why they were so addictive to watching a TV drama on a sofa, but they wouldn’t go back to their beds to sleep, despite their bedrooms being located nearby. Surely, their beds were more comfortable than the sofa?
After they had their breakfast, everyone left the house together. Tong Yao observed an increase in the number of people moving nearby․ It appeared that people were already moving into a new residential area nearby. There were also new clothes and hardware stores being opened. This indicated that the city was expanding up to this point.
For Tong Yao, this indeed was good news. After thinking for a while, she decided to change their plans, "Instead of going to the milk tea shop now, let’s go and check out my other property first!"
