Chapter 695: Chapter 695: Mommy, who is this Auntie?

Fu Sen looked at Tong Yue, laughing, "So you’re still your brother’s little fangirl, huh?"

Since becoming a father, Fu Sen had developed a high tolerance towards children, especially girls, whom he loved dearly.

With her chin up, Tong Yue said, "My brother is very smart, I admire him the most."

Hearing this, Fu Sen burst into laughter. He turned to Si Yang and said, "Yangyang, you better work hard in the future. If you can be an outstanding man like me and your dad, I’ll marry my daughter to you one day."

At his words, everyone in the room broke into laughter.

Accepting the child from his arms, Han Enzhen glared at him and grumbled, "Enough. Stop sweet-talking Yangyang. You should go greet the guests. I’ll stay here with Yaoyao."

With the large number of guests, Fu Sen knew it was inappropriate to remain seated. As he rose to greet the guests, Han Enzhen handed the baby over to the nanny and settled down with Tong Yao.

"Yaoyao, you guys sit down for a while. Let me handle the crowd. I’m post-surgery and the baby isn’t breastfeeding, so I’m free to chill a bit."

Having been unable to lactate after giving birth, Han Enzhen opted to feed her baby formula. Coupled with the nanny’s help, she was quite relaxed.

Tong Yao nodded, "Go ahead and attend to your guests. We’ll just hang out here and chat."

Han Enzhen turned to Guo Miaomiao, smiling, "Miaomiao, you don’t have to be formal. I need to get back to my host duties."

Guo Miaomiao quickly nodded in agreement. She wasn’t used to such grand occasions and knew the big shots of the city surrounded her. She didn’t dare utter a word in their presence and wished to remain as invisible as possible.

After Han Enzhen left, Guo Miaomiao whispered to Tong Yao, "Sister Yaoyao, isn’t this place regal? Enzhen must have spent a fortune. It’s my first time seeing such a grand occasion."

The place they were at was more lavish than the one Tong Yao had chosen for her banquet back then. It was understandable since this was a newly opened big hotel, and the economy had changed drastically over the past five years.

Tong Yao nodded in agreement, "It’s my first time, too."

Aside from her close friends, she had successfully avoided mingling with the wealthy women of Kyoto. Thus, many people didn’t know her well.

Of course, it was not because she lacked a high social standing but because she chose not to. Since Si Chen was a doctor, Tong Yao avoided disclosing that she was the largest shareholder in Hengtong Company and didn’t want to reveal her identity.

She just wanted to make money silently without getting involved in any complications. She was also fearful of how business affairs could negatively impact Si Chen.

Guo Miaomiao looked at Si Yang and Tong Yue sitting beside her. Both children were well-behaved and sat calmly on their chairs. They didn’t annoy anyone, nor did they look surprised at the luxurious surroundings. Guo Miaomiao admired Tong Yao’s parenting skills and doubted whether she could raise her future child as splendidly.

Thanks to her relationship with Han Enzhen, Tong Yao got to know some of Han Enzhen’s friends. Knowing about Tong Yao and Han Enzhen’s close friendship, some came over to greet her, to which she responded with a smile.

However, her eyes inadvertently fell on the newcomer at the entrance. She hesitated for a moment, and so did the newcomer on seeing her. It wasn’t long before the woman took a seat at a nearby table with a bourgeois woman.

Tong Yao wondered silently and managed to catch Han Enzhen as she passed by. In a low voice, she asked, "Enzhen, do you know Yu Shiya?"

Looking baffled, Han Enzhen scanned the room and asked, "Who’s Yu Shiya?"

Hearing her response, Tong Yao understood that Han Enzhen didn’t know Yu Shiya. That meant Yu Shiya was a guest of someone else, not Han Enzhen. Owing to the special statuses of the Han-Fu families, many people seized the opportunity to come to the banquet and familiarize themselves with them for business prospects. Yu Shiya was likely there for the same reason.

As realization dawned upon her, Tong Yao looked at Yu Shiya again and whispered, "The woman in the blue dress is her."

Han Enzhen squinted in the direction and said, "Oh, that’s her. She’s sitting with Asen’s aunt, who probably brought her here. Yaoyao, did you have an issue with Yu Shiya?"

Tong Yao didn’t hide anything and honestly replied, "She used to be Ahchen’s colleague who had a crush on him, and we never got along."

On hearing about Tong Yao’s past rival, Han Enzhen got instantly alert. Even she carefully examined Yu Shiya and critiqued, "She is neither as pretty as you nor has a good figure. She looks like a tough woman. No wonder Doctor Si didn’t like her."

Tong Yao didn’t comment on Yu Shiya’s appearance but added, "We had business conflicts too. She opened a few milk tea shops next to mine. Although her shops weren’t the main reason for my shop’s closure, as it would’ve been eliminated by market competition anyway, she did contribute a bit. Moreover, the time when Yueyue got kidnapped, it had something to do with her."

Hearing all this, Han Enzhen proposed, "Let’s have her thrown out to avoid being a nuisance."

Toward Tong Yao’s nemesis, Han Enzhen was also hostile. If it were her, she would also feel uncomfortable having her antagonist around.

Tong Yao shook her head lightly, "There’s no need to. Today is a happy day; we shouldn’t ruin it. Plus, she was brought here by your relative. We should give some face."

Thinking about it, Han Enzhen found Tong Yao’s argument reasonable and suggested, "Yaoyao, how about I get you another seat?"

She was afraid seeing Yu Shiya would upset Tong Yao.

However, Tong Yao refused, "No, thanks. She might think that I’m avoiding her. You go ahead; I’ll be here."

Admiring her friend, Han Enzhen said, "Yaoyao, this is what I like about you. You’re like me. You stay put, and I’ll catch up with you later after I finish."

Tong Yao nodded in agreement. Not long after she sat back down, Yu Shiya excused herself from the lady she was sitting with and walked towards Tong Yao. Tong Yao noticed her but remained seated.

During her conversation with Han Enzhen earlier, Yu Shiya had kept her eyes on them. It was evident she had noticed Tong Yao’s closeness with Han Enzhen. In a gathering like this, Yu Shiya couldn’t possibly cause trouble. At most, she could come over to greet Tong Yao.

Hence, Tong Yao was completely nonchalant.

Soon, Yu Shiya stood in front of Tong Yao, her gaze fixed on Tong Yue, "This is your daughter, right? She looks so much like you."

With an indifferent expression, Tong Yao replied, "Is that so? Everyone says that."

Tong Yue also looked at Yu Shiya, curiously asking, "Mommy, who is this aunt?"
