Guo Jinnian raised an eyebrow. "Girls looking for Director Gu? What are their names, do I know them?"
The staff shook their head. "One had the surname Guo and the other Xiang, I am not sure about the exact names. They’re in the office right now. I’m not sure if Mr. Gu knows they are here, but they claimed that Director Gu invited them."
Guo Jinnian felt a bit unhappy. She’d only been back for a day and Gu Hongwei was already meeting women behind her back, two of them no less.
Unsure if it was business related, Guo Jinnian withheld her anger. "I’ll go check."
The staff quickly said, "Guo Jinnian, you must control your temper. If a fight breaks out, please don’t expose me. If we lose this job, my family will have to starve."
Guo Jinnian reassured, "Don’t worry, I won’t put you in a difficult position."
Gu Hongwei was a businessman. As the future Mrs. Gu, she did have some magnanimity.
Upon hearing Guo Jinnian’s words, the staff breathed a sigh of relief, yet they were still curious. "Guo Jinnian, Director Gu seems to treat you differently from others. We all think you two seem like a couple, why aren’t you married yet?"
Even Gu Hongwei had never publicly acknowledged Guo Jinnian’s identity.
The employees thought that if Gu Hongwei was going to get married, it would most likely be to Guo Jinnian. However, the two had not publicly confirmed their relationship, which made everyone very curious.
Guo Jinnian wanted to say they would get married soon but on second thought, it would be better for Hongwei to say it himself to save face.
So, she said, "It’s not time yet. I’ll give you some wedding candy when the time comes. Now, you go ahead. I’ll go check the office."
The staff lit up upon hearing this. Was this implying that Guo Jinnian and Director Gu were indeed together – and possibly get married soon?
With this speculation, the staff was thrilled, it seemed their boss favored Guo Jinnian all along.
Over the years, apart from Guo Jinnian, there seemed to be no other woman close to Director Gu. Guo Jinnian was also a small shareholder of the company, so it seemed very likely that she could become the boss’s wife.
Seeing Guo Jinnian had left, the other employees also came over.
"What did Guo Jinnian mean just now?"

"Could she become our boss’s wife?" Other people guessed.

Since Director Gu had not announced his marriage, she dared not guess.

Guo Jinnian went straight to Gu Hongwei’s office. Upon opening the door, she saw two girls observing the office interiors.
Upon hearing the door, they thought it was Gu Hongwei. They quickly fix their looks and turn around, smiling.
"Director Gu..."
Just as Xiang Youyou turned around and saw who had come in, her smile froze on her face.
Guo Yun also looked as if she had seen a ghost.
She asked rudely, "What are you doing here?"
Guo Jinnian was taken aback, she didn’t expect to see these two women visiting Gu Hongwei. What a small world.
She countered, "What are you two doing here?"
Guo Yun glared at Guo Jinnian, "That’s what I should be asking you. What are you doing here?"
Xiang Youyou was also staring at Guo Jinnian, questioning her identity. She didn’t dare to speak casually, after all, Tong Yao had a special relationship with the Fu Family and the Han Family.
The woman standing right in front of her was close with Tong Yao, thus her identity must be something special. Since she could come here, it means she knew Gu Hongwei.
Maybe she was a relative of Gu Hongwei.
Thinking of this, she said to Guo Yun, "The incident last time was a misunderstanding, things have passed, let’s not dwell on it any longer. It’s fate that we can meet again."
Without waiting for Guo Jinnian to speak, she continued, "My name is Xiang Youyou, and she is Guo Yun. May I ask your name?"

Upon hearing this, Guo Yun’s anger dissipated by half.
Her face softened a bit, but asking her to flatter Guo Jinnian was something she couldn’t do.
Guo Jinnian didn’t pay any attention to the two of them. She walked into the office and sat in Gu Hongwei’s designated seat. This reassured Xiang Youyou’s suspicion, she asked politely, "Are you a relative of Director Gu?"
Guo Jinnian nodded, "I suppose."
Hearing this, Guo Yun became anxious and assessed Guo Jinnian from top to bottom, "You’re not his sister, are you?"
"You’ll find out when Director Gu comes. Why did you come to see him? Business?" In truth, the moment Guo Jinnian saw them, she had already ruled out the possibility of them coming to do business.

"We have some stuff we need to ask Director Gu." Xiang Youyou replied.
"Does he know that you’re here for him?" Guo Jinnian asked.
Before Xiang Youyou could reply, Guo Yun said, "Of course he knows. Why else would the people outside let us in?"
Guo Jinnian, "I’m curious too. It seems like the management is not strict enough. I will have a serious talk with Hongwei about this to prevent people from stealing the company’s secrets."
Hearing this, Guo Yun immediately felt displeased.
Just as she was about to retort, the office door was pushed open again.
The three of them looked towards the door and saw Gu Hongwei walking in with some documents. Seeing the the three of them in the office, he paused.
He looked at Guo Yun and Xiang Youyou, then at Guo Jinnian.
"How did you all come together?"
He was unaware that Guo Jinnian had gotten to know them.
Guo Jinnian snorted, "I was about to ask you the same thing. When did you get acquainted with these two?"
Without waiting for Gu Hongwei to say something, Guo Yun sweetly smiled and said, "Director Gu, I came today to ask you about someone. I don’t know her," She pointed at Guo Jinnian, "I don’t know who she is, we didn’t come together."
Gu Hongwei glanced at her and frowned, "Not with her? How did you get in?"
"I said that you had invited us, so they let us in." Guo Yun was still proud of her smart move, completely oblivious to Gu Hongwei’s changed expression.
He walked to his desk and dialed an outside line.
"Come in."
In a short while, the staff member who had spoken with Guo Jinnian rushed in.
"Director Gu, what is it?"
With a stern face, Gu Hongwei said, "In the future, do not allow unrelated people to enter the office without my permission."
The staff looked wronged, "Director Gu, you were in a meeting when they arrived. They said that you had invited them, so I let them in."
