Chapter 743: Chapter 743: Strange Call
In order to find Tong Yue as soon as possible, she first called the police, then informed Si Chen, and rushed to Yu Shiya’s shop.
Si Xiaohui was at work and already expected Tong Yao to show up. She acted very nonchalant.
"How come you two are here?"
Tong Yao got straight to the point: "Did you take Yueyue?"
Si Xiaohui responded irritably: "Isn’t Yueyue supposed to be at school at this time? Why would I take her away?"

Si Xiaohui showed a smug expression, "You’ve offended quite a few people, right? Now they’re taking it out on Yueyue."
"What’s that supposed to mean? Yueyue is your niece." Hu Haiyun was angry.
With a snort, Si Xiaohui disdainfully responded: "When did they ever treat me like family?"
Tong Yao stared at Si Xiaohui for a while, having a hard time telling if she was being truthful.
Unsure if Yueyue was with her, Tong Yao did not dare provoke Si Xiaohui, "Xiaohui, whatever happened in the past was between the adults. It has nothing to do with the kids. If you want money, just name your price. Don’t harm Yueyue."
Upon hearing this, Si Xiaohui stretched out her hand, "Fine, then bring me twenty thousand yuan to spend, and then we’ll talk."
Seeing her attitude, Tong Yao was even less certain if Si Xiaohui had anything to do with this. She was impatient and anxious about Yueyue being lost, and couldn’t think clearly.
At that moment, her phone rang. It was a call from an unfamiliar number. After exchanging a glance with Si Xiaohui, Tong Yao answered the call.
"Hello...?"
There was no response on the other end of the line. Tong Yao suddenly had a hunch that this call was related to Yueyue’s disappearance.
Indeed, after about five seconds, a man’s voice came through, "Are you Tong Yao?"
"Yes, I am Tong Yao." Tong Yao’s palms were sweaty, but she tried to remain calm.
"The person you’re looking for is with me. If you want to take her back, go back to your milk tea shop to find clues."
Before Tong Yao could respond, the call was abruptly ended.
Seeing the change in Tong Yao’s expression, Hu Haiyun quickly asked, "Is there any news about Yueyue?"
Tong Yao looked at Si Xiaohui and said, "Let’s step outside to talk."
Si Xiaohui rolled her eyes, evidently uninterested.
Once they were outside the milk tea shop, she told him, "Someone called and said that if we want to find Yueyue, we should return to the milk tea shop to look for clues. Let’s go back and check."
Before she had finished speaking, her phone rang again. It was Si Chen calling. She was about to answer the call, but Si Chen abruptly hung up.
Before she could react, a car pulled up in front of them, and Si Chen got out from the driver’s seat.
Tong Yao felt like she had found her anchor, "Ahchen, someone just called me and said if I want to find Yueyue, I should go back to the milk tea shop at home to look for clues."
Upon hearing this, Si Chen said in a deep voice, "Don’t panic, nothing will happen to Yueyue. Let’s get in the car and go back to take a look."
"Okay."
Tong Yao nodded, and she and Hu Haiyun got in the car.
She then called the school. The police were investigating there, but there were no leads yet.
"Don’t tell Mother and Father about Yueyue’s disappearance yet." Si Chen said seriously. "Father can’t take any shocks. His condition is good now, but any shocks might cause complications."
Tong Yao knew that Tong Yaohui couldn’t be shocked, so she hadn’t told him yet.
"I didn’t tell them. But if we don’t find her by tonight, we might not be able to keep it a secret."
