Chapter 952: Chapter 945: The Deal

Unaware of the events unfolding on Mount Wanxian, Li Zhirui had left his family behind and rushed to Wanxian Province with utmost speed, daring to cross over ranges of mountains.

Naturally, Li Zhirui’s bold endeavor was backed by his own confidence. Should he encounter any Devil Beast he could not confront, he would immediately hide in space, which ensured his safety.

Thus, his return to Wanzhu State took only half the time it had taken him to leave.

Li Zhirui had a general understanding of the local powers, so without hesitation, he headed for a Sect known as the Wood Spirit Sect, an Integration Sect.

There were many reasons to choose the Wood Spirit Sect, but the most crucial one was that their Spirit Vein was contaminated, and their strong power made it more likely they would agree to his terms.

During the time Li Zhirui traveled to and fro, Wanzhu State had already spread the news of the Demon Cultivator’s acts. The powers with contaminated Spirit Veins had tried every means to summon Cultivators from all over, offering rewards, issuing Hero’s Mandates, and various other methods like Token Invitations, all to resolve this huge trouble as quickly as possible.

The differences between these methods were: the rewards were clearly defined; the bearer of a Hero’s Mandate could propose terms; and the Invitation Token allowed sending one or several youths to be directly accepted into the Inner Sect.

Thus, when Li Zhirui arrived at the gates of the Wood Spirit Sect, a Nascent Soul Cultivator greeted him with respect and inquired, "Senior, are you intending to accept the Hero’s Mandate?"

"Hearing that the Wood Spirit Sect is widely issuing the Hero’s Mandate, I wished to give it a try," said Li Zhirui, not revealing that he had already verified the efficacy of the Purification Principle.

The Cultivator’s face remained respectful, but a hint of disappointment flickered in his eyes. In his view, Li Zhirui was merely a Lianxu Cultivator; how could he succeed where many Integration Great Powers had failed?

Yet, his good breeding ensured he maintained a proper demeanor as he said, "Please, Senior, follow me."

This period was one of the most open times for the major Sects and clan lands, allowing various Cultivators to come and go under supervision.

Led by the Nascent Soul Cultivator, it wasn’t long before Li Zhirui was brought to a small Spirit Vein.

This was a minor branch of the Wood Spirit Sect’s veins; to test an unfamiliar Cultivator’s ability to remove the Black Stain, they certainly couldn’t risk using a Seventh Rank main Spirit Vein. What if the Cultivator harbored ill intent and suddenly destroyed it?

This branch was contaminated because of its connection to other Spirit Veins, but fortunately, the infection was brief, and the Black Stain was minimal.

"Senior, the Sect Elders have located the Black Stain, just go ahead," reminded the Cultivator.

Li Zhirui nodded, maintaining a calm mindset. However, he did not, as before, mobilize the Purification Principle from the world around him. Instead, he took out dozens of Purifying White Lotus seeds.

The Cultivator supervising and witnessing this scene was perplexed, wondering if these unimpressive Spirit Seeds could resolve the Black Stain that had troubled countless Cultivators.

He then watched as Li Zhirui placed the seeds one by one on the surface of the Spirit Vein above the Black Stain, his hands forming Mantras and casting spells. Soon, tiny roots emerged but, no matter what, they were unable to penetrate the Spirit Vein.

Li Zhirui’s brows furrowed slightly; it seemed his plan to use the seeds for an easy and rapid purification of the Black Stain had fallen through.

But in the next instant, he erupted with immense Mana, crushing the White Lotus into fragments. Combined with the Purification Principle he invoked, intense purifying lotus fragrance filled the small space.

A phantom-like seed swiftly entered the Spirit Vein, landing on the Black Stain and then rapidly grew roots under Li Zhirui’s control.

What happened next brought a hint of joy to Li Zhirui’s face.

The phantom Bai Lian rose from the Black Stain absorbing its power to strengthen itself.

In a short time, the Black Stain visibly decreased.

This was a method Li Zhirui had devised on the road; he had planned to use the seeds to absorb the power of the Black Stain and grow, but the seeds couldn’t penetrate the Spirit Vein.

He had to resort to a more complicated method, introducing the Purification Principle into the Spirit Vein and then casting a spell to turn it into a special seed. It seemed the effect was indeed good.

The idea had come to Li Zhirui when he remembered the origin of the Purifying White Lotus, which itself had emerged while purifying a place heavily polluted with stains, even capable of absorbing those stains to enhance itself.

Realizing this unique property, he had decided to try, and it proved effective!

Moreover, after absorbing a substantial amount of Black Stain, the blossoming Bai Lian birthed several real seeds.

As these were born within the Spirit Vein and matured directly on the Black Stain, Li Zhirui quickly encouraged their growth with his spells. Soon, White Lotus flowers began to grow and bloom inside the Spirit Vein.

The Black Stain disappeared at a speed visible to the naked eye. Due to the rich Spiritual Energy within the Spirit Vein and the Black Stain serving as soil, the Bai Lian rapidly multiplied, spreading along the Black Stain towards other Spirit Veins.

"Please, check it now," said Li Zhirui confidently to the Cultivator beside him.

The man approached skeptically, but when his Divine Sense penetrated the Spirit Vein, he was startled.

"How is this possible?" exclaimed the Cultivator.

The Black Stain that had baffled numerous Supreme Elders of the Sect was so easily resolved by the Lianxu Cultivator before him!

If he wasn’t mistaken, they had only been there two hours, and at least a tenth of the Black Stain had been cleared!
