Inside a room with cold grey walls and red lion traditional markings to decorate.

This room was not small, spanning almost fifty square meters and having a dome-shaped ceiling.

Like the cold gray walls, the dome-shaped ceiling also had paintings that depicted different beasts of alien origins.

The floor was completely covered with a green carpet that also had yellow intricate designs on it. The carpet itself was a work of wonder, seemingly weaved from the long furs of many beasts.

There were no windows as this room was designed for private discussions among powerful forces.

Currently, ten beings were sitting on the green carpet in a circular formation.

They sat with their legs in different positions. Some sat cross-legged, some sat with their two legs in front, others simply knelt down and sat on their calves.

All of them were of masculine features and had anthropomorphic or humanoid appearances.

"I suspected that they would take long but I didn't think it would be so long," One of the men said. When he opened his mouth, his dainty metal teeth were shown.

"It's been close to four months now, what could they be experiencing?" Another one said out loud while bringing his hand to his chin.

"King Larvis, you still can't reach any of them?" Asked a blonde and chubby aged man wearing brown and yellow robes.

The blonde and chubby elderly man looked worried like he had not slept for some time. Although he looked to be in his fifties, he was actually way older.

The reason why he was worried was because he was the father of one of the participants in that expedition to find the heavenly beacon.

He was the father of Thawne, anyone would guess so with how much they resembled each other. He was the father Thawne had inherited those depraved antics from.

Looking at his chubby cheeks and his worried expression, one would never believe that this man was a menacing debauching monster.

The bond between him and Thawne was very tight, even among lions. They were one of the few father and son pairs that were so close to each other.

And for some days now, Thawne's father had been feeling strange, he had a feeling that his most beloved son was in danger.

Their fortune ties were hazy and he could no longer detect anything. It disturbed him to no end.

King Larvis, the man who had been spoken to, shook his head with a thoughtful look on his face. "I wasn't able to contact them since they went there, why would I be able to do so now?" He asked, annoyed as this was not the first time one of them was asking this question.

They all had descendants that they sent to that world. One of them even sent his Lion Prince, a highly valued personnel, to oversee this expedition, yet no news so far.

It was a cause for worry.

King Larvis himself had two of his most trusted grandchildren on that team.

Although most of these people were not like Thawne's father who had a very close relationship with his son, they were still worried nonetheless. Whether they had a close relationship or not, it involved their clan members.

Most of the men in the room had faces that made them appear to be in their late forties or their early fifties.

King Larvis looked young, one might mistake him for a man in his mid-forties. But King Larvis was in fact the oldest.

"It's crazy that someone would go through all this trouble just to keep us away from the heavenly beacon," Another person said. He was a white-haired and fair-skinned man with powerful muscles exposed through his sleeveless jacket.

He was Alora's father.

"I even thought that it was related to the next Primordial Lion, but I chalked it down to something else." Someone else said, to which a few laughed to lighten the mood.

"That's more likely the case if we think about it," King Larvis said with a grim expression.

Alora's father shook his head, "Larvis, you think too much, if the Primordial Lion was there, he would have alerted every lion the moment he was born,"

"Maybe that's what all those hindrances are for. We may think that it's there to protect the heavenly beacon.

But you all have found it confusing that a lion king, even if he was very powerful, would go through all that trouble just to hide the heavenly beacon.

Maybe, all those things were out there to prevent the Primordial Lion from being detected early.

It's possible that the heavenly beacon was even placed there for the Primordial Lion,"

The person who spoke was Adolf's father. Unlike Adolf, he wasn't wild or unbridled, rather, his eyes glowed with the intelligence of a Magus Lion.

"Hey hey hey, guys!" a bald man waved his hand in front of them to get their attention, "Aren't you guys thinking too far?

The Primordial Lion? Seriously? Do you even know what that means?"

He was Chloe's grandfather and had the fiery aura of a fire lion.

"Besides, why would a Primordial Lion have to be hidden?" The man with metal teeth asked.

"Probably because some of us don't want a Primordial Lion," King Larvis said while eyeing a man who had been quiet since the meeting started.

Everyone turned to the man. Compared to the others who had a few peculiar traits of Lionhood, the man looked very normal.

Black hair that fell to his shoulders, broad shoulders, and clothes that did well to hide his lean muscles.

The only thing peculiar about him was that the dust particles close to him seemed to move in a weird fashion. If one looked closely, one would see that the dust particles were going in reverse.

If that was even possible.

The man gave off the aura of someone who had been sitting still through the countless eons.

A Time Lion.

The man noticed the looks the other lion kings were giving him and smiled lightly.

"Please, my opinion over such doesn't matter. What we should focus on is the interest of the Cross Claw Alliance.

Every other thing will be talked about after we get the Heavenly Beacon,"

To his words, the lion kings nodded visibly, although they all had their own contrary thoughts.

"You know, I never wanted to send Thawne, I didn't even want him to go.

But you guys begged me!" Thawne's father raised his voice all of a sudden. His nostrils flared and the powers of misfortune flowed in command to his emotions. 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙥𝙪𝙗.𝒄𝙤𝙢

"You all begged me! You said that you needed a fortune lion to ensure success!" He continued.

The Lion Kings remained silent. Thawne's father might have the weakest combat ability but he could do serious damage to anyone if he wanted to.

It was better to let him vent with his words than any other thing.

"If anything happens to my son!, I swear!..." Thawne's father was shouting.

"Nothing will happen to him, Xu Ying will make sure of it," Alora's father commented.

"Xu Ying?" The chubby blonde seethed, "Maybe he has even taken the heavenly beacon already. What if that's why we haven't heard from them all this while."

The metal teeth man frowned, "Don't throw accusations around, okay. Besides, isn't that the main reason we chose Xu Ying to go with them?"

"But he doesn't know that, he might betray us if he gets too greedy," Another said.

Adolf's father spoke up, "You guys forget that you're talking about a Magus lion. He's a smart lion, unlike you all, he wouldn't do that."

The words settled in, causing everyone to go silent. The insult did not go unnoticed. Adolf's father looked away at the wall, acting as if he didn't say anything.

One of the ten kings who had also been quiet spoke up at this time, "If you think being smart is all that matters, fight me!"

As expected, he was related to Orion. He was Orion's uncle actually and even more of a warmonger battle junkie.

Immediately, eight kings let their auras explode out as they started bickering with each other.

Although it looked comical, each of them held significant power within their bodies and could kill the current Kael with a single hit.

King Larvis and the black-haired man, the Time Lion, remained silent through this.

"King Larvis," The black-haired man spoke to King Larvis telepathically, "What will you do if you find that there is a Primordial Lion on that planet?"

King Larvis looked at the man with a strange expression, "Why would you ask me that question at this time?"

King Larvis was not one to be led by the nose, he didn't attain kingship by using his strength only.

"I just wanted to know your opinion," The man replied with a slight innocent smile.

"Here I am, thinking that you're not the type to care about others' opinions," Larvis sneered.

"Larvis, do you realize what the existence of the Primordial Lion would mean for the lion race?" The man asked while tilting his head slightly to the side.

"I don't know, change maybe," Larvis shrugged.

The man nodded, "Exactly, change, and some of us like how things are.

We don't want change."
