Kael had a mysterious glint flash in his eyes, "Why don't we look for a place to relax, you must be tired as well," Kael said with a fiendish smirk forming on his lips.

Chloe was rooted to the ground, staring at Kael's face with mixed emotions.

Yes, she was tired, but was it time to rest? Where was Xu Ying? Why was there a hole in the wall of the throne level?

Chloe frowned, she turned around to check something. Beyond the elevator, at the very edge of the elevator, she could make out the shape of a black oversized pillow with gold markings.

A lion throne, the item the Lion Kings, Princes, and Lords used to control pyramids.

Chloe turned back to look at Kael, this belief in her eyes.

"Kael… You…" She stuttered.

Kael chuckled, his shoulders shook up and down as laughed at her shock.

He took a step forward, spreading his muscular arms wide as he walked toward Chloe, "Yes Chloe, I did it," He said.

"Noel's Heavenly Beacon has now become Kael's Heavenly Beacon. I have reached the tier 4 stage, my power grows my dear.

And this place," He said, waving his hand slowly around to address the whole pyramid, "This place now belongs to me, and by default, it belongs to the Ol-mytee Clan"

Kael got closer, the very faint glow from his golden eyes becoming more apparent as he got nearer to Chloe.

Chloe took a step back, not out of fear but because Kael was not holding back his aura at all. The wind, the heat, the atmosphere in the throne room were a result of Kael's aura.

Kael noticed this and stopped in place. In truth, he had been finding it tricky to keep his power locked away.

It was like having his fist closed all the time, he may not get tired of it quickly but it would feel weird keeping his hands clenched at all times.

That was how it felt to always keep his aura and powers contained. It didn't matter what he was in his humanoid form, aura didn't get contained or released based on transformations.

Kael closed his eyes for a moment, and then Chloe felt the subtle pressure lift off her body.

Now, she felt more comfortable. Kael's aura would not have hindered her activity in any way but it could be oppressive to stand next to him all the time when he had his full unrestrained aura released.

It was akin to a termite standing in front of a frog, it just didn't feel right.

"Chloe, do you understand that you are part of the Ol-mytee clan now? That you are part of my Pride?" Kael asked as he resumed his walk.

He arrived in front of Chloe, looking down into her eyes with less coldness than he always did. His breathing was calm and his exhaled breath hit Chloe's face.

Chloe blinked, her heart raced and her wings tensed behind her, all noticed by Kael.

She opened her mouth to respond, she stammered, and stuttered, but ended up saying the truth, "Yes,"

Kael smiled at her response, Chloe had accepted her fate, and that was good.

"From now on, you belong to the Ol-mytee Pride and Clan. You officially serve under me, no matter where you find yourself, I am your King,"

Kael's words rang within Chloe's ears, imprinting on her mind like a hot brand.

"Yes," She nodded subconsciously.

Kael then raised his hand to touch her face, catching the winged woman off guard. Kael had never touched her like this before.

Yet, she didn't move away.

Kael's palm made contact with her cheek, sending a jolt through her body. Her breathing quickened but she tried to hide it.

As soon as Kael's palm settled over her cheek, a golden string emerged from his finger, causing the golden pride tattoo that had appeared on Chloe's forehead when she signed the contract to appear again.

The strings flowed into the shimmering tattoo, adjusting the contract slightly, then retracting into Kael's hand, all before Chloe could react.

"It worked," Kael said, half surprised and half relaxed.

"What was that?" Chloe asked, frowning. She could feel that something was changing within her body, her heart in particular.

A separate energy essence pool was forming, different from her Air essence pool, this one contained a golden substance.

Conquering Essence.

"I altered the contract," Kael said, Chloe tilted her head, not understanding him.

"From now on, you can use Conquering Essence to enhance your powers," Kael stated.

After advancing to tier 4, he gained some insight into the workings of Primordial Contracts.

Previously, the consort contract had made Kael the singular benefactor of the relationship. Not only did he get their powers, he also got their loyalty.

And what did the lionesses get in return? Nothing.

Kael could still order them to die for him and he would not be affected in any way.

But now that he knew how it worked as well as his considerations for his lionesses, he could make it fair.

After all, they were his consorts, he had to treat them well as well as make them see the benefits of staying by his side. Not just for them, but for the future consorts he had not yet met.

That would be what it seemed like if Kael also did not wish for his consorts to be fully capable of serving him with efficiency. For effective subordinates, an upgrade was needed.

With his new alterations, his consorts would be able to use Conquering Essence to enhance their powers.

But there were limitations.

Because they weren't actual Primordial Lions, they couldn't absorb Conquering Essence, nor could they use the power of the Law of Conquering.

The only thing they could do with it was enhance their powers. 𝓷ℴ𝓿𝓹𝓾𝓫.𝓬ℴ𝓶

As for their source of Conquering Essence, it would naturally be Kael, as he was the only one who could absorb Conquering Essence from the world.

But even Kael did not know where to absorb Conquering Essence from. All the Conquering Essence he met in the pyramid had been leaked from Noel's Heavenly Beacon.

After he evolved, almost everything had been absorbed by him and the rest had been dispersed in the form of that pulse.

The reason Kael knew that Conquering Essence could enhance other powers was because it was enhancing his own powers within his body at the moment.

That was the most basic thing Conquering Essence could do, he guessed so.

For now, Kael was only able to alter Chloe's contract. He would attend to the other lionesses once he left this pocket dimension, he decided.

Chloe smiled brightly, leaning forward until her breasts touched Kael. "Thank you," She said.

Kael nodded in approval, it seems women universally liked a man that could provide something of some sort.

However, that alone didn't guarantee loyalty…

He brushed her black braids away from her face, getting a clear look at those hazel eyes.

"Should we find a room?" Chloe asked while looking away to avoid Kael's gaze.

At least, she was straightforward.

"Yes, we should," Kael nodded with a deep chuckle. His fluency in the lion tongue was getting better.

With that, Kael stepped back and said to his official consort, "Lead the way,"

Chloe nodded shyly, she had never done it before.

She walked toward the elevator and Kael followed closely, eyeing her wings with dirty thoughts flashing through his mind.

"What happened to Xu Ying and the rest?" Chloe asked once they got to the elevator. She used her telepathy to select the fourth floor, where all the VIP private rooms were located.

Kael shrugged his shoulders, eyeing the heavenly beacon that floated above the lion throne before the elevator doors closed.

"I allowed them to escape," He said casually.

"Really?" Chloe had assumed Kael would do something worse.

She didn't know if he would have been able to do anything to Xu Ying but she expected that he would have killed some of them.

"Yeah, don't mistake my actions for mercy though.

I'm not so stupid that I would antagonize so many Lion King's at once. As it is now, a neutral relationship can still be salvaged."

Kael was thinking strategically. Killing them would have been nice and all but the consequences could prove dire in the long term scenario.

It wasn't worth it.

"I thought you were thorough with your enemies," Chloe commented, she was happy that Kael left them alone, she had been worried that Alora would be one of the casualties.

If not, she didn't care that much about the rest.

"But that's good," She added, "Apart from Ma'abu, every other Lion King in the Cross Claw Alliance is pretty neutral about the idea of a Primordial Lion.

But, you already killed one of his sons, Wadolius, so the relationship between both of you is bad already," Chloe said.

The elevator went down.

"I'm not the one that killed him, but that's by the way. Does this Ma'abu speak for the whole Alliance?" Kael asked.

"No he doesn't," Chloe replied swiftly.

The elevator ended its descent into the fourth floor before the doors opened once again.

A curving hallway was exposed to both their eyes. They both stepped out of the elevator, unanimously deciding to walk toward the nearest room in their sight.

Kael stood by the side of the door which was just a semi-transparent sheet of blue energy.

With a mental command, the shimmering blue energy door dissolved and revealed the interiors of the room.

He looked at Chloe, his eye narrowed and his smile deepening, "After you,"
