But from time to time, I could tell that they were looking in my direction.
It was clear that they had not forgotten about what they had seen earlier and they were planning on doing something with this.
Though I had no idea what they were actually planning.
For now, it didn't seem like they were planning on doing anything, but I knew that I should keep my guard up for later.
Or that was what I thought.
It turned out that I was wrong.
Since they had lost interest, I thought that I could take a closer look at the different exhibits that were here. After all, each of these exhibits had some different form of magic knowledge to them.
The magic knowledge that they had was quite valuable, both to me personally and to my kingdom.
If I could obtain this knowledge from these exhibits and bring them back to the Kite Kingdom, there was no doubt that the Kite Kingdom would greatly benefit from it.
Only when I went to the next exhibit.
"Can you please help us test this?"
That was what they asked me when I approached.
Even without saying anything else, they directly asked me to use my mana for one of the items that they were showing off at this exhibit.
With the way that they looked at me, it was hard for me to reject this request of theirs.
However, I could see that they were looking at me in a strange way when they asked me to power this magic item.
It was almost as if they were looking at me like I was some kind of item that conveniently provided the energy that they needed.
It was almost as if they were looking at me as if I was some kind of mana battery.
In the end, I went along with it because I had questions to ask and they answered all of my questions since I was helping them with their experiment. I was even able to get a few magic arrays out of them because I helped them with their experiments.
These were simple magic arrays in the eyes of these magicians from the Sorcery Empire, but they weren't simple magic arrays to someone from another nation like me.
These were the refined magic arrays that had been created by the magicians of the Sorcery Empire, these were magic arrays that contained the essence of the research that the Sorcery Empire did.
There was no doubt that these were valuable things as long as one knew how to use them.
After helping with the first exhibit, it was the same thing at the second exhibit.
Then the third and the fourth.
It wasn't strange that they knew about the pure and dense mana that I possessed since the two sages had talked about it in the middle of the exhibition hall.
The only thing that was strange was the way that they looked at me.
If it wasn't for the fact that I was a diplomatic guest, it was even likely that they would have captured me on the spot.
It really seemed like they wanted to use the pure and dense mana that I possessed as a power source for their experiments.
Of course, it wasn't as if I didn't understand why they wanted it.
I could see the results of having access to this pure and dense mana.
Compared to what happened when they used the magic items, it was clear that there was a large difference.
It was that the magic that was displayed with the pure and dense mana was much stronger than what would be shown with normal mana.
Magic that was enhanced with the pure and dense magic had a much better effect than magic with normal mana.
Which made it easier for them to see what was right and wrong with the research that they did.
It was like the difference between normal fuel and high grade fuel.
That was why everyone was very enthusiastic when it came to welcoming me to their exhibits.
It reached a point where I became even more popular than the sea witches who should have been the main stars.
But that meant that the sea witches were able to happily go from exhibit to exhibit without too much attention.
They even seemed to misunderstand this as they looked at me with grateful looks.
Only there really wasn't anything that I could say about this.
Since things had developed to this point, it was better to go along with it since the benefits from doing this were quite good.
The only problem was the way that all of them looked at me.
It really was not a good way of being looked at.
If it wasn't for the fact that there was something restraining them, it would have been very likely that they would have kidnapped me to use as some kind of mana battery.
When the day was over, the sea witches all looked very satisfied with what they had gained from this Magic Exchange.
On the other hand, there was an exhausted look that was on my face since I had to deal with everyone requesting my services.
Still, it was a good gain, so I was also satisfied with what happened today.
Only when we were leaving there was something strange that was said.
"If you enjoyed what happened today, then please look forward to what will happen tomorrow."
I couldn't help looking at the Azure Sage with a strange look after hearing this.
But he didn't say anything else as he looked at us with the same smile as before.
It seemed like he wasn't planning on explaining what he meant by this at all.
Though it really seemed like there was something sinister hiding behind his voice when he said this…
