The being's eyes widened slightly in surprise. His black eyes looked at Corey who stood in front of Divine with cold and calculating eyes.
Before Divine, the being, Kiefer, and Selene could process the fact that Corey had just cut off his arm to escape the grasp of the being, what happened next also stunned them.
Corey's arm which was in the grip of the being burned with an extremely beautiful silver, violet, and azure flame.
"What?"
The being exclaimed once again, but this time around, there was more shock to his voice compared to before.
With a deep frown, he left the arm which then fell to the ground and burned till nothing of Corey's arm remained.
The expressions of Divine, Kiefer, and Selene was one of shock and disbelief, and their gazes instantly moved from Corey's burnt arm to Corey.
Meanwhile, the being had a deep frown as he looked at his hand which was holding Corey's arm. On his arm was a burn that was slowly healing, and five seconds later, the burn completely healed.
"That flame."
The being mumbled with a tone containing confusion, suspicion, and coldness. no𝚟𝚙u𝚋.c𝚘m
He looked at Corey, and his gaze instantly landed on Corey's arm.
In the eyes of others, they would see a violet and sky blue light at the tip of Corey's severed arm, but in his eyes, what he saw were countless violet and sky blue sands hovering around the tip of his severed arm.
These sands would transform perfectly into Corey's flesh, blood, bones, and even cells.
He could see the speed at which Corey's arm was regenerating, and although from what he could see, it would take Corey a hour or two of non-stop healing to completely regenerate his arm, the rate of regeneration was still fast.
"Now, I'm sure. You're part of those bastards. You're a damn Walker."
Corey's expression remained the same when he heard this, and he said nothing in response.
Instead, countless thoughts and simulations ran through his mind as he stared at the being.
"In all my life, I, Nuvagor the Eternal Sleep have battled countless people, and Walkers are one of the many things I despise."
The instant Divine heard the being introduce himself, his pupils constricted.
"Damn it, Smile Reaper. We need to leave now!"
"If it's really Nuvagor the Eternal Sleep, then we have no way of defeating him at all! He's comparable to a peak Tier 8 and he's a high ranking demon!"
Corey's gaze and expression remained the same even after hearing Divine's words. Although he had no idea who Nuvagor the Eternal Sleep was, he currently had no need of it because it couldn't help him at all.
From the moment Nuvagor appeared beside him and held his arm, he knew that Nuvagor was a demon he could not beat at the moment no matter what.
Although the aura he was sensing from Nuvagor who was in Triple X's body was comparable to that of a Tier 5, his aura still felt immense for Corey.
'Nuvagor is most likely the demon X contracted with, and after I killed him, he was able to possess X's body, but because of the immense difference in power between both of them, X's body could not fully contain the power of Nuvagor.'
Corey shifted his gaze from Nuvagor to his severed arm.
'If I had not cut off my arm, I would not have been completely helpless before him not even because of his strength, but because he was subtly infusing his energy into my arm, and with every fraction of a second that passed , the more I could feel my arm becoming numb and...asleep.'
'The energy would have gone to my entire body, and I would most likely have lost consciousness at that point or lost control of my body.'
Barely two seconds had passed after Divine spoke, and Corey glanced at him.
"I already know that I can't defeat him. Do you have a way to escape?"
Corey used his Breath of Omniscience to speak directly into Divine's mind, and Divine glanced at him.
"Yeah I do. Just stay close to me."
Just as Divine said these words into Corey's mind through a skill, Nuvagor spoke.
"So you know of me."
Nuvagor's gaze landed on Divine, and then his brows rose in surprise.
"I've never seen a human with such an affinity for the ice and fire elements."
Nuvagor shifted his gaze to Selene, and then to Rosa, and then to Kiefer.
"This is surprising, so many unique individuals in one spot. I need more information."
Nuvagor swiped at the air to his left, and space tore apart. A few seconds later, a familiar face stepped out of the portal, and the eyes of Divine, Kiefer, and Selene widened.
Meanwhile, a light of realization flashed in Corey's eyes.
"Calista, who are these kids?"
Without sparing a glance to Calista who stepped out of the torn space, Nuvagor spoke.
Meanwhile, Calista looked around with a baffled expression.
Some minutes ago, she had been in her office, dealing with the usual work that came with being the Manager of the Underworld Emporium.
However, she suddenly received reports from some high-level officials that they could feel immense vibrations coming from beneath them.
At first, she took it with levity, but when she asked for the location of the vibrations and realized that it was at the Neon Headquarters, she realized that something had gone wrong.
Their plans had gone wrong.
Just as she was about to leave her office to investigate the vibrations, she received calls from other core Underworld Officials and from her people.
However, before she could respond to any of them, the space in front of her tore into two, and she could feel the aura and presence of one of the beings she feared.
Without wasting a single second, she entered the spatial crack and found herself in a familiar underground area.
'What the hell is going on?'
As Calista had this thought, she felt a suffocating killing intent and cold sweat dripped from her forehead.
"Do I have to repeat myself, Calista?"
