The children immediately looked nervous when the bell rang, signalling that the examination was about to commence.

Han Qingping and other teachers distributed the test papers according to the children’s grades. Xiaowang was still in 1st Grade whereas Sanwang was in 2nd Grade. Maisui and Erwang were in the 3rd Grade and Dawang would be in 4th Grade— if he managed to get more than 50 points in this exam.

After receiving the test paper, Dawang calmed down first. What flashed through his mind was Lin Lan’s indifferent smile. She practically said, “My eldest son, there is nothing to be afraid of. Your mother has summarised everything that you need to know, and I believe in you!”

He calmed down before taking a pencil and started answering the questions.

Han Qingping and Huo Yuan had been observing him. They saw Dawang sitting

and looking down onto the test paper with an expressionless face. Neither of the two knew what the boy was thinking.

Did he know how to answer or did he not? Or was he being mad at the examination papers?

Although they knew that Dawang had advanced a considerable degree during the summer, the time he had might have been too short after all. What could he learn in the span of a month? At the very least, he would have needed about half a year to progress properly.

The two educators exchanged looks before Han Qingping quietly walked towards Dawang. Upon getting closer, he found that Dawang had already started to take up his pencil and was starting to write.

Regardless of whether he actually knew the answers or not, the fact that he was actively writing was a good sign. If he wasn’t even writing, then that would mean that he didn’t know anything.

Because there were many students in the three large rooms, it was inevitable that there would be some form of noise due to the protests and complaints of some children.

Dawang was unhinged. After all, when he was at home, even if Sanwang was howling right outside the room, he could still continue answering the practice questions and read his textbooks. In comparison, this wasn’t pressuring him in the slightest.

After Dawang finished the test paper, he signalled for the teacher to collect it.

Han Qingping, “Student Dawang, check it carefully again.” 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝒑𝙪𝒃.𝒄𝒐𝙢

Dawang, “I already wrote what I know; anything else are things that I don’t know and have no point dwindling on.”

Han Qingping, at such a young age, you really…seemed to have this figured out.

He saw that there was still some spare time, so he took a red pen and started to mark the paper directly. Because they were all topics that he was very familiar with, Han Qingping was able to look through the paper very quickly.

For language papers, there were essay portions required. However, the amount of words required weren’t too much— only about 300 to 500 characters were sufficient. Plus, the contents of the essays were fairly simple since this was just an elementary level test.

The scores were out very quickly.

Han Qingping was in a bit of disbelief and he looked back at the paper once more. It was… 87 points? Plus, this was him thinking that the essay was written in too much of a serious tone which resulted in a slightly lower mark.

Was it because he was too sympathetic towards this child and made the test too simple?
