"There's a problem." Li Wei entered the office when Lin Ruan and Yue Peng were discussing business.
"What is it?" Lin Ruan asked as Li Wei handed her a file and took the seat on the couch next to her, "The imperial family is meeting with the Huatao family."
"That's not good." Yue Peng remarked, and Li Wei nodded, "And not only that. They're working together to push our businesses out of the capital."
"Have they finalized a deal?" Lin Ruan asked with a solemn expression on her face.
"Not yet." Li Wei replied.
"Then already...?" Yue Peng couldn't make sense of things. Why was the imperial family already acting when they hadn't even signed a deal yet?
"Does it have to do with the imperial members who died in the dungeon?" Lin Ruan asked. "Yeah. They seem to be acting out of personal vendetta." Li Wei replied.
"Like we told them to be associated with evil organizations." Yue Peng sarcastically remarked.
"What about the military? Aren't they still under investigation?" Lin Ruan asked. The military was still conducting research on the imperial family's ties to the dark organizations.
It was a chance the military was looking for for a long time, yet quite a time had been passed, yet no news about any discoveries had come. Either the imperial family was more meticulous than they had thought, or the military was up to something again.
"They have declared all support from us lifted. You know why." Li Wei replied. With Wei Jun's power coming out to the world, and since they could only assume it to be evil, he had been declared a natural enemy of the world. It was only thanks to Song Huan, who was keeping things under wraps, but even that was a very difficult thing at the moment.
"What should we do then?" Yue Peng asked.
"We'll pull out. Completely." Lin Ruan replied.
"What? That would make him come after us next." Yue Peng argued, but Lin Ruan didn't budge, "Our priority is to conserve our strength until Wei Jun wakes up."
"..." Yue Peng had no argument to that point, so she simply remained silent in assent. The same went for Li Wei, who didn't think the time was right to do anything.
'Please wake up soon, boss.' All she could do was pray for Wei Jun's recovery, like all of them were doing.

"Stop." A black haired man appeared out of nowhere, but as he did, he heard a charming and enchanting voice.
He turned to look at a black haired, black eyed western beauty who could captivate the hearts of thousands of men and ask them to offer their hearts on a plate, not receiving one refusal in turn.
"Quite gutsy of you." The black haired man, whose beauty and handsomeness couldn't be outdone by anyone, not even the most beautiful woman on earth, spoke in an easygoing voice as he took notice of the woman.
"What are you doing here, Miss Secretary? Shouldn't you be on the run?" The man asked.
"I'm not really here." The woman said as she disappeared from her spot and appeared beside the man. In the dark space, there were only two of them present under the light. The man smirked, a smug expression on his face that only served to annoy the woman.
Regardless, she couldn't be disrespectful. Just because she wasn't there didn't mean she was safe. From that man, no one was. The entity that made the countless of worlds tremble in fear just with his presence alone. If she thought even with all of her power, she could do anything against him, she was severely overestimating herself. Or she was just ignorant, which she wasn't, so she remained within her limits.
"He wouldn't be able to bear it." Yet, the very first words of her agenda she said earned her a look of endless cold that froze her soul and made her body freeze in fear.
"Take care of what you say. My brother is not so weak to let something like that break him down." The man said, his voice cold as ice, resembling the expression on his face that turned on all of the survival instincts of the woman.
"Haha." A soft chuckle, as if everything earlier was an illusion, with a charming and warm expression on his face, the man spoke, "I know you'er crazy for him and all but if you decide my brother's limits one more time, I'll rip you apart no matter how far away in dimensions you are."
The soft and sweet words didn't match the vicious threats coming out of the man's mouth. The girl remained silent, but she wasn't in the wrong in this scenario. There was a chance that he would never be able to make it out, and that his brother was just putting too much trust in him.
"I know what you're thinking." The man waved his hand and they appeared in an office, the office of the man who calmly took the seat behind his work desk and said, "But he's been closer to death more than you can think."
"That day..."
"I'm telling you I'll shoot you!" A man pointed his gun at a kid no more than seven, but the boy didn't cower in fear. The boy simply stepped forward, unafraid of whatever was transpiring around him. He could only register one fact. The man before him was powerless, yet he dared to order him. The look in the boy's eyes... The man didn't like that one bit.
Thaa!
He shot the boy, killing him on the spot. The boy fell on the floor, blood dripping from the bullet wound on his cheek. However, there was still life in his eyes. The defiance to die was too strong for a kid his age.
And the next moment, he looked at his hands, red with blood, and so were his surroundings. On the floor was the man who was pointing the gun at him while the other hostages in the classroom were looking at him in fear.
The boy was puzzled.
"What... happened?" He couldn't help but ask. The dizziness from the strong stench of blood, the shock of killing someone, and the guilt over the situation. None of it was there. And that precisely confused him.
Why had nothing like that happened? Was he even a human?
"You are." He heard a familiar voice behind him and turned to look at the person who had said those words before the person added, "But you are more than that."
"What?" The boy was confused, so he couldn't help but ask, "What are you talking about, Gab--?"
The next moment, he fell unconscious. The events of that day were forever locked away in his mind.
And then the bus crash.
The plane crash.
The bullet from that sniper.
The explosion in the building occurred when the bomb was right before him.
And on and on and on and on and on.
Death and death and death and death.
Many, many instances that were locked away in his mind, forbidding him from remembering the events of those times.
"Even when he tried his hardest..." The man spoke, looking at the woman who stood with a mix of a troubled and worried expression on her face, "He couldn't remember. But that made him all the more extraordinary. Unfamiliar yet so in sync. That is what we call the perfect form of death."
"Then guide him. Don't leave him like that. Up to chance." The woman spoke, her worry evident in her voice and eyes, so much so that even the man didn't find her words offensive, even though he had just said not to make the grave mistake of underestimating his brother.
"Guide him, you say? How exactly?" The man asked.
"What?" The woman asked, puzzled by such a question.
"How can I guide him when he's already made a model. Now he just needs to perfect it."
"Unnecessary meddling would only make him confused. Death had many faces. It's fierce. It's destructive. It's chaotic. It's devastating. Catastrophic. Malicious. Ravaging and so much more. Out of all of that, he had already chosen a path. The path of chaos. I just need to make sure he sticks to it. That is the ultimate form of guidance I can offer him."
As he stopped speaking, Wei Jun, who was in an infinite space of death, groaned and grunted in pain as death once again approached him. He looked at the gun before him, the heat in the environment, the truck in the distance, and the explosives set near him.
All the events of death that he thought he had forgotten were killing him again and again, ravaging his mind, breaking his mentality, but the more he resisted, the more it became tolerable. While accepting it would have been much better, he denied it.
He didn't accept death.
His defiance, even to that day, was firm.
And that only helped him more.

[The sword of devastation reacts to the will of the user]
Suddenly, a black sword appeared in Wei Jun's hand. Unlike before, its ends weren't chipped, and it didn't seem dull in any way.
[The sword replies to the user's will]
[The name of the sword would be changed]
Black slashes were emitted from the sword that seemed to cut everything around Wei Jun. The man with the gun, the sky with the scorching heat, the truck, the bomb, everything.
Everything suddenly just went dark.
And...
In all of that quiet, the system's voice pierced through...
[Sword of Chaos has been born]
