Chapter 1017: Chapter 1012: Thunder Strike 5_1 Chapter 1017 -1012: Thunder Strike 5_1 “Boom” “Boom” Finn Lewis charged through like a wild bull, with massive holes being punched through wall after wall.

The entire base echoed with screams and yells, but before anyone could see what was happening, Finn had already charged past them.

The rumbling sounds continued behind him, and although the base’s person in charge knew it was the enemy, his face was covered with cold sweat, yet his hands couldn’t speed up.

His hands trembled slightly as he began to input the password on the door before him.

“Boom”—Before the door could be unlocked, suddenly there was a huge blast from the corridor behind him.

Then a black mech suit appeared in the hallway, almost instantly reaching his side.

...

With a “thud,” Finn moderated the force in his hands, but even so, the person in charge flew out like a kite with its string cut, slamming into the nearby wall and violently coughing up blood, collapsing weakly to the ground, motionless.

“Click” “Click” Finn Lewis took steps toward the fallen person in charge, and as he approached, his eyes’ scanning system had already determined the man’s condition—internal injuries.

If he were sent to a hospital promptly, he could still be treated.

But there was no hospital to take him to now.

Nevertheless, his injuries were not fatal; he could still live a little while longer.

“Speak, what exactly is beneath this base?” Finn’s deep voice rang out as his giant sword rested next to the man with a “click,” cutting through the alloy floor as easily as tofu, penetrating more than halfway.

Unable to help swallowing hard, the person in charge overcame his fear before stuttering out, “It’s the base’s defense system, the latest protective system developed.”

“Protective system?” Finn raised an eyebrow, his face full of scorn.

If it really was a protective system, they wouldn’t have waited until the last minute to activate it.

“You sure it’s a protective system?” Finn asked with a sneer.

“I’m sure.”

“Then good, I’ll take you down to see.” Although Finn didn’t know whether it was actually a protective system below, he was certain that it couldn’t possibly be just any facility, for there was a vast space underneath this location.

Finn reached out and yanked the man up, looked around, then took a few steps forward and swung a fierce punch, shattering a hidden compartment in the wall and pulling out an emergency medical device.

“You have internal injuries.

You know how to use this, right?

If you don’t want to die,” he said as he tossed the device beside the man.

The technology of the Galactic Federation in this area was indeed very powerful.

For common internal injuries that were not immediately fatal, such portable emergency medical devices could sustain a person’s life for several hours—certainly long enough to make it to the hospital for treatment.

Hearing Finn’s words, the man scrambled over to the medical kit, grabbing a vial of medicine and injecting it directly into his body.

Finn waited on the spot for a few minutes, and though there were people watching from a distance, no one dared to approach.

It was no joke; without even looking, it was evident that the armor Finn wore was not ordinary.

If it were, could it have smashed through the alloy walls like trash?

They themselves had no weapons at hand, and even two security guards in the distance didn’t dare to make a move.

Even if these guards carried standard firearms, it was obvious they wouldn’t stand a chance against the enemy.
