Chapter 1022: Chapter 1017: Parasite 1_1 Chapter 1022 -1017: Parasite 1_1 This seemed slightly different from the unique Gene Warriors of the Galactic Federation, but there were definitely some Gene Warrior technologies integrated here, as Finn Lewis had already spotted some techniques in his research on Gene Warriors.
The underground space of the entire facility was not divided like the interior of a building, but rather like a vast underground DX, supported by some huge pillars, within which dense cultivation chambers had been built.
The space below was quite extensive, and although Finn had headed straight here, he had not searched other areas.
Beyond reaching the main building, Finn hadn’t checked the remaining structures.
As Luna Starfield hacked into the main control system of the facility, Finn headed towards another larger building.
Despite the extensive underground space, to Finn’s speed, it was just a blink away.
The design of this building was somewhat strange, sealed very tightly, and it also lacked features like windows.
...
However, its volume was quite moderate, about seven to eight hundred square meters in surface area.
Scanning its internal structure surprised Finn, as its building materials could block some penetrating signals.
Although he could generally scan its layout, he could not detect what was inside.
After some thought, Finn still stood at the main entrance.
Whatever was inside didn’t concern him; the mecha he was wearing was in a sealed state, so Finn wasn’t worried about being susceptible to any infection.
With that, Finn decided to open this place up.
Finn had a premonition that there was something inside, a very peculiar feeling.
So, without hesitation, he acted.
“Pfft,” the long sword in Finn’s hand pierced straight into the virtually seamless door, should there be a passage inside.
He used the long sword in his hand to cut through a huge door, then kicked it straight on.
Accompanied by a thunderous noise, the door Finn had artificially carved out toppled inwards.
Lights turned on automatically inside the passage, and as they activated, Finn stepped in.
The lights had a slight blue tint.
As he entered, Finn noticed something unusual and his attention immediately sharpened.
On the walls of the surrounding passage were some unknown sticky residue, presumably left by something.
“Scan the composition here,” Finn commanded as he bent down to wipe some of the substance onto his finger.
On the mecha’s fingertip was a sensor capable of analyzing the material.
Finn waited in place for several minutes, then his secondary brain provided the results, “This is nutrient fluid, offering high-density and high-concentration protein, containing rich energy, generally used for the high-intensity breeding of cultured entities.”
Hearing this, Finn’s expression became even more solemn.
Such a result was not promising.
Finn slowly walked further in, passing through the corridor smeared with the sticky fluid, and as he moved forward, his brow furrowed instantly; ahead were several compartments.
They resembled office buildings with workspaces separated by transparent glass.
The compartments ahead were of similar design, the only difference being that these were all sealed, and inside filled with a brown fluid, turbid and unclear what it contained.
