Chapter 905: Chapter 899: Give an Explanation 2_1 Chapter 905 -899: Give an Explanation 2_1 “`

First and foremost was the question of Finn Lewis’s funding sources.

Although he had just inherited his family’s estate, inheriting the estate meant only receiving the lands of the family, and everything concerning their management was up to him to work hard for.

The Federation didn’t care about these matters, meaning that Lewis had to handle everything himself.

Yet, what did Lewis do?

Let’s not even mention the funds he had on hand; the financial power Lewis displayed felt no less formidable than that of any royal family among the nine great surnames.

Additionally, there were the battleships.

Money can buy battleships, not to mention that there was the Wren Family, a natural ally of Lewis’s family within the Federation.

...

However, he was well aware of the Wren Family’s economical situation; certainly, the money had not come from the Wren Family.

As for the warships, it was plausible that the Wren Family had assisted in their production, but these new-model warships definitely weren’t the product of the Wren Family; of this, Miles was absolutely certain.

So, the question arose: From where had Lewis, on a primitive planet, obtained all this?

And not only that but now intelligence had even penetrated the inner workings of their family.

If in a little while Lewis’s power expanded further, did this mean that this was the potential inherent in a nine-star royal family?

As for the spy behind him, to tell the truth, at this moment Miles wasn’t very worried.

Although he too was angry, his anger was more of a show for Lewis.

What truly alarmed him was the display of power by Lewis, the myriad of evidence in his possession that simply couldn’t have been gathered by staying within their family.

This evidence was mostly collected from within the Rochefort Clan, meaning that Lewis had already established his presence and even planted his people inside the clan.

This information could not be taken lightly by Miles.

“It seems I have you to thank, Your Highness,” Miles thought over countless ideas, but his face remained dark, and he made it clear to Lewis that he was angry about this matter, not something else.

“No need for thanks, I simply didn’t want word of our meeting today to spread,” Lewis said with a nod.

“Bring someone in,” Miles called out loudly.

Soon, a person stepped in, and seeing the guards who entered, Miles pointed at the person behind him and commanded, “Take this traitor away, interrogate him thoroughly and find out when he became a spy for the Rochefort Clan.” The guards outside didn’t show surprise or even seem to care, as these Gene Warriors serving as guards had no interest in such matters.

Several people approached and took the person who had been following Miles away without regard for his struggles, whether it was Miles or the guards.

As for Miles, from beginning to end, he didn’t offer the man a chance to explain.

The evidence brought forth by Lewis was concrete, and despite the fact that evidence can be fabricated, Miles also believed Lewis couldn’t have possibly fabricated so much of it.

Some things are not so easily forged, and Miles had some common sense in this regard.

After the guards left, Lewis quite decisively had his own two people leave as well.

Now, only Miles and Lewis remained in the conference room.
