After breakfast, Nangong decisively refused Suming’s invitation for another round and Suming instantly rejected Nangong’s suggestion to tidy up the room. Dressed neatly, they left the messy room to the housekeeper, took the elevator down, and headed for Disney Park.
Last night, when they arrived at the hotel, it had already been very late and they didn’t get a chance to look around. On their way down this morning, they noticed that the whole style of the Disney Hotel was like a large castle filled with fairy tales and magical colors, with little statues of Mickey Mouse everywhere on the banisters and things like the magic mirror from Snow White.
As they walked, Nangong pulled Suming along to take pictures of her, and it took them almost twenty minutes to get down to the lobby on the first floor.
"I want to buy gifts!" As soon as she reached the lobby, Nangong couldn’t move forward and charged straight into the Crown Gift Shop beside the lobby. The shelves were lined with rows of figurine souvenirs.
Nangong held up two Mickey Mouse toys, a female mouse in a flower dress and a male mouse in a little black suit, and shook them at Suming, "This one is you, this one is me!"
"How do you know they’re a couple?" Suming, in a mood-destroying manner, walked over with his hands behind his back, looked at a row of shelves, and took out a Donald Duck, speaking seriously, "Maybe they’re the couple?"
"If I say these two mice are a couple, then they are a couple!" Nangong, already accustomed to Suming’s nonsense, stuffed the two figurines into Suming’s arms and snapped her fingers nonchalantly, "Buy them to give to me."
"Yes, yes!" Suming eagerly extended an arm to support Nangong and asked obsequiously, "Your Highness, what else do you fancy?"
"Hmm, I also want that!" Nangong pointed to a row of couples’ outfits.
Suming couldn’t understand why everything was Mickey Mouse, even the couples’ outfits featured mice. Do I really look like Mickey Mouse?
Once again, Nangong revealed a woman’s natural instinct for shopping, not even waiting for Suming to grab the items, she started to hesitate, "Hmm, should I go for black or white? Black is slimming, but it’s too hot, white is..."
"We’ll buy them both!"
"But I also want the yellow one..." Explore stories on freewebnovel.com
Suming stepped over in one stride, swept an arm across, and gathered the entire row of commemorative shirts into his arms, flashing a smile at the nearby sales clerk, "Excuse me, I’ll take them all."
The female clerk seemed to want to laugh but held it back, nodding, "Sir, please come this way to pay." Two foreigners turned around and stared at him, dumbfounded.
"What are you looking at, haven’t you seen a nouveau riche before? My family owns a coal mine!" Suming declared, puffing out his chest.
"So embarrassing!" Nangong covered her face with one hand and dragged Suming away with the other, leaving the clothes and figures behind.
"Let me go, let me go, I’m not done acting like a tycoon yet!" Suming struggled, turning back to the stunned clerk to shout, "Pack everything, send them to room 4081..."
Before they had even made it to the door, Nangong stopped in her tracks. A little blonde girl dressed like a princess had appeared from nowhere, spinning in her classical long dress. Nangong’s eyes lit up, and she pulled Suming straight to the nearby princess room.
The princess room was full of little princesses where parents could dress up their children like princesses from fairy tales. The blonde girl had run out from there, and inside, there were a few girls under ten years old, one mixed-race girl with brown hair was indescribably cute, holding a little magic wand, touching it to the mirror in front of her.
The princess room only provided services for children, and Nangong, with envy in her eyes, tugged at Suming’s sleeve and said, "You have lots of tricks up your sleeve, can’t you think of a way to let me in, too?"
"My little princess, there is a way, but honestly, this isn’t the right place for you, it’s all children here."
"Great, so you think I’m old now? I knew I shouldn’t have let you have your way with me..." Nangong pouted.
"Of course not, with your bust size, if you were to wear these children’s clothes, they would burst open! You’re meant to play the queen!"
"Then hold me!"
"Oh..."
"I want a princess carry..."
...
When you go out with a woman, you never know when you’re actually going to reach your destination. The short journey from their room to the hotel entrance took Nangong forty minutes, pausing to look at this and touch that.
Fortunately, the hotel was very close to Disney Park, and it didn’t take long to reach the park’s main entrance. After buying tickets and ensuring there were no prohibited items in our bags, we entered with ease.
At the entrance stood two Mickey Mouses, a Donald Duck, and two big dogs whose names Suming had forgotten, arranged in a row, twisting and turning. Nangong called out and rushed over to take photos, groping the big mascots in a flurry. Suming guessed that this girl might have a thing for costumes; he even wondered if she would lose her mind if he dressed up in an Ultraman costume in the room.
Coincidentally, the theme song of Xiangjiang Disney, ’Let the Magic Fly’, was sung by Jacky.
As a man, Suming wasn’t particularly interested in mascots dressed as people, but he followed along, watching the excitement and simply enjoying the joyous atmosphere of the park.
Many details about Xiangjiang Disney that he had looked up online came to mind.
The fifth Disney Park in the world, the second in Asia, and the first in China, the park was divided into seven themed areas: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Toy Story Land, Grizzly Gulch, and Mystic Manor, with Grizzly Gulch and Mystic Manor being unique to this park globally.
With over 4,000 employees, the national vice president and the chief executive of the administrative region attended the opening ceremony. With an annual turnover of 5 billion Hong Kong dollars, it significantly boosted the development of Xiangjiang’s tourism industry... In short, it was a highly impressive major industry! With Suming’s current capabilities, it was nothing but a distant dream.
We arrived just in time for the parade of floats, where actors dressed as various Disney characters came to life and walked past. Many tourists followed along to take pictures. Chipmunks from ’Alvin and the Chipmunks’ stood atop one of the floats, wildly shaking their behinds at the visitors.
Nangong finally fulfilled her dream of becoming a princess, taking a hand-in-hand photo with the evil queen in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, leaving the seven dwarfs standing to the side, speechless, waving their little hammers and swords in protest, as if they were the masterminds disrupting the harmonious relationship between the mock mother and daughter.
But Suming preferred Grizzly Gulch. It was arguably the most thrilling attraction, where Suming and Nangong played gold prospectors disturbing the peaceful lives of grizzly bears in the forests of a remote town. A group of tourists traveling in the ’Big Wilderness Mine’ train moved swiftly across the town, and just as we passed a slope, several ’grizzly bears’ suddenly emerged from the roadside with a loud roar, pouncing towards the tourists.
Even knowing it was all fake, the tourists couldn’t help but scream in fright. Right as the bears were about to pounce, the Big Wilderness Mine ride suddenly accelerated, reversing up the rugged slope and quickly shaking off the grizzly bears.
At that moment, one of the bears triggered an explosive device, and a booming explosion rang out beside us, catapulting the entire ride from the mountain at high speed and flying over the air.
"Ahhhh!" Nangong screamed incessantly, clutching Suming’s sleeve.
Next, when passing through a tropical jungle, we came upon a mysterious mansion said to belong to a reclusive traveler and adventurer, filled with all sorts of rare treasures. Visitors, in groups of four, rode in trackless vehicles through the forest, where ’monkeys’ would frequently pop out from the trees, harassing the visitors and triggering mysterious forces...
"If there were also pythons and crocodiles, it would feel even more real," Nangong couldn’t help but ask Suming.
Suming shared the thought. Along the way, all the animals, including Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, chipmunks, and even the bears and monkeys in the attractions, were either fake or played by actors. If these animals had been real, it would have caused quite a sensation.
Combining Disney with a zoo, could that be something?
"Of course that would be something!" Suming nodded emphatically. The animals in the zoo were already there, mostly idling in their cages all day; sometimes they amused themselves by hosting in front of cameras when they felt like it, otherwise they just lay down to sleep. Now that zoos treated them so well in terms of food, they had almost all turned into chubby piggies, and it would be good to get them moving and shed some weight.
"Let’s do it then! Build an Animal Disney in Yangchuan City!" Nangong said, and then realized she had misspoken and her face turned slightly red. Fortunately, the other tourists were all focused on the ’monsters’ that might appear in the surrounding primeval forest and didn’t pay much attention to her words.
"I really want to do something, but I lack the means for now. Xiangjiang Disney’s investment alone was over two hundred billion," Suming said, counting on his fingers, wondering when he could possibly gather that kind of money. Even winning the lottery wouldn’t be enough.
...
Following Nangong’s way of playing, a day was just enough to finish Disney Park. At night, we headed to Temple Street for a shopping spree, sweeping through fake branded bags and T-shirts. We stuffed ourselves at the seafood stalls until we nearly vomited. When Suming bought ginger milk curd, he finally witnessed a ’chopping’ incident: two vendors selling jeans, both tattooed with dragons and tigers on their arms, were fighting over a good spot and pulled out cleavers from under their carts. Before any blows were struck, a PTU assault vehicle stopped in the lane, several uniformed police officers stepped out, glanced over, and the two vendors immediately made up.
"The gangs in Xiangjiang are really wimpy!" Nangong said disdainfully as she licked her double-layer milk pudding.
"That’s because there are eighty million Party members like me!"
After a satisfying meal, we returned to the hotel in the evening. Nangong, fresh out of the shower, found Suming still sitting in her room. Her cheeks flushed slightly, yet she didn’t say anything like ’Aren’t you going back to your own room to sleep’, and with some pushing and pulling, they turned off the light and had a massive battle, but let’s not dwell on that.
The next day, we visited Ocean Park for another full day. A group of red pandas, axolotls, Chinese alligators, and two giant pandas left Suming drooling. It was said that the axolotls and Chinese alligators of Yangchuan City were still single... As for the two giant pandas, they were out of the question as they were gifts from the central government to the special administrative region.
"When will someone gift me pandas!" Suming lamented.
"Ahh!" On the drop tower, Nangong let out a piercing scream that tore through the sky.
