The candlelight trembled as Kyra found her voice. "Why are you here?" She meant it to sound stern, but it emerged as barely more than a whisper. The thin cotton of her chemise suddenly felt inadequate protection against his intense gaze.

Jaegar's smile held no warmth, only a predatory edge that reminded her of how he fought in her battle. He didn't answer immediately, letting the silence stretch between them like a drawn bow.

"You shouldn't be here," Kyra continued, her fingers gripping the edge of the vanity.

"What we did... what happened between us... It's all in the past. I'm to marry Lorcan. I can't—" Her voice caught. "I can't afford to lose everything now."

The moonlight streaming through the windows cast half of Jaegar's face in shadow. "Lose everything?" His voice was soft, almost gentle, but carried an undercurrent of steel. "Or lose what you've been positioned to gain?"

He moved then, closing the distance between them. "I won't cause any problems, Princess," he murmured, and somehow the formal title sounded like both a caress and a threat.

"Not as long as you cooperate and maintain your silence. Otherwise..." He let the implication hang in the air between them. "Well, it would be unfortunate for certain truths to come to light, wouldn't it?"

Understanding dawned in Kyra's eyes; she stared at him for a minute.

Jaegar stepped directly in front of her, close enough that she had to tilt her head back to maintain eye contact.

With deliberate slowness, he touched her chin and asked, "Do you know about your soon-to-be husband? What sort of man he is?"

"Do you even know where he is now?"

Kyra, finding her voice, then corrected her posture, standing firmly, "He is in Crimson Rose mansion, drinking with his friend Ethan."

Jaegar was the one surprised this time. "You knew. I mean, do you know what type of place that is?"

Kyra nodded her head; she seemed to be still thinking about what Jaegar said.

"You are not angry about this, then," he asked her, genuinely curious. Just a minute ago, she was all afraid and acted like a helpless woman.

"Why do I have to care about what he does? This marriage, it's a perfect opportunity for me, and I wouldn't let go of it just because I am jealous."

"Damn, girl! Why am I not surprised? You really are something else." Jaegar's smirk grew wider as he recalled their first encounter, where he'd half-jokingly asked her to sleep with him—and she'd agreed without a moment's hesitation. Back then, it had been impulsive, driven by nothing more than desire, and he hadn't regretted it one bit. Now, as he stood here again, his intent was sharper, more calculated. He was here for her once more, not just for his own satisfaction but to deliver a message, to humiliate Lorcan in the most personal way possible.

Kyra then asked, "Aren't you ashamed to go after women?"

Jaegar grinned, "No."

"What do you want?" Kyra seemed resolute, as she wasn't ready to give up her marriage.

"You will have sex with me? Whenever I want and wherever I want. And after having sex with me, you will make him taste the mark I leave behind."

Kyra was shocked. "What?!"

"What the gods name are you talking? You degenerate bastard!"

"Now I may be a bastard. But what does that make you, vying for power while giving away your virtue to this bastard before marriage? What do you think the family will say when they find out?"

Kyra's expression changed, and her body slightly trembled, thinking about what would happen. She exclaimed, "NO! It should not happen."

"Then you should do as I say."

Kyra thought deeply as Jaegar walked to the bed and leaned back with his hands supported.

"O-okay," Kyra said meekly, barely a whisper in the room.

"Come here," Jaegar commanded.

Kyra understood what he wanted, and she thought it would be better to give in for now, and she can deal with him when the time comes, she thought. She worked very hard to reach this palace, and it was just the beginning for her, so she couldn't risk it.

"Now unzip me and blow some steam off. I am very much stressed because of your fiance," Jaegar looked at her, watching her figure in the dim light. The transparent chemise did nothing to hide her body. He remembered the time when he had her in the forest before the war.

It was really a different experience for him as she was a fierce woman and her body, standing at 5'10'', with an impressive physique. Her bosom seemed to have grown since the last he had seen, and her hip curves were even more pronounced.

Kyra wasn't known to him, and she felt disgusted by doing this, but she knew she had to do this now. So she steeled herself, dropped to her knees, and started unbuckling his pants.

"If you cooperate well in getting against Lorcan, I may even support you in whatever you want to do," Jaegar said casually, and he could see the instant glint in her eyes.

Kyra looked at him with curious gaze, but she quickly averted her eyes and focused on the task at hand. She knew she had to stay strong and do what was necessary to achieve her goal.

Her eyes almost popped out when she saw the flaccid member of Jaegar, and it was already getting hard, standing to its position. It had been a while since he had her, but she was surprised at the length and astonished to think that this long shaft was in her.

The memory was vivid, and the painful yet lustful sensations flooded back to her, reminding her of the intensity of their past encounter.

Jaegar noticed how her gaze fixed on his phallus. He was hard within no time; well, the feeling of her again made him aroused again. She was certainly a different woman compared to the ones in the empire, he thought.
