WHOOSH!
Arin stared at the glowing Magic Circle in front of him, a smile on his face.
"Almost done..."
He controlled the blue mist around him, which was his Mana, moving a bit of it towards himself.
He shaped it into a small square and moved it towards the middle of the large Magic Circle that had different patterns in it.
Instantly...
WHOOSH!
The Magic Circle glowed, letting out a bright blue light.
Arin's smile widened. "Finally."
The light slowly died down, and the Magic Circle was no longer present, which meant that he had successfully made the Spell.
"There's still about three more Magic Circles that Riya drew on that paper for me. I'll master this Water Pillar Spell first before creating another one," Arin muttered.
With that, he left the Mana Space.
As soon as he opened his eyes, he was greeted with the now familiar sight of the room.
As usual, Roxanne, who was standing in front of the window, sensed that he was back.
She turned and smiled. "Welcome back."
"Yeah, though I'm not done," Arin said.
"Tell Bazooka I said hi," Seraphine said, already knowing what Arin was about to do.
"Sure," Arin said.
He quickly closed his eyes again, connecting with his Blood Energy.
He began moving it towards his back, and after a few seconds, a red glow emanated from his back.
Before he knew it, he found himself in a different place.
He hadn't yet opened his eyes, but he could feel it... He was in a different place.
Eventually, he opened his eyes, and as expected, he was back in that space.
Red clouds. Red lightning. Wasteland.
There was nothing present, except...
"Hey, you! Change my name now!"
Arin looked at the Raven in front of him, a smug smile on his face.
"What? But there's nothing wrong with that name. It's a really cute name," Arin said.
The Raven tilted his head, his voice sounding in Arin's head.
"Cute!? How the hell is Bazooka cute? What does it even mean?!"
"You don't need to know," Arin replied. "Just know that it's a cool name. That's all."
Before the Raven could reply, Arin spoke again:
"Now, we've completely bonded. So, tell me, what can you do?"
"Lots of things!" The Raven exclaimed, quickly forgetting the name issue.
'He sure sounds excited,' Arin thought. 'It seems he likes talking about his Abilities.'
"First thing first, my talons are very powerful... Like, insanely powerful," Bazooka began. "Also, when I flap my wings, this insane and wild gust of wind is released and can even blow the strongest creature away."
Arin furrowed his brows. "Wow. Is that so?"
Arin's tone was sarcastic, and it seemed the Raven realized this, because he suddenly stopped talking and glared at Arin with his menacing red eyes.
'If it's that part about his talons, I believe it, but the gust of wind produced from the flap of his wings can blow the strongest creature away? Bro is definitely lying,' Arin thought, staring at Bazooka, who was glaring at him.
"Hmph, believe me or not. I know my own abilities, and I won't ever underrate my abilities. As for you, underrating my abilities is a big mistake..."
Bazooka continued.
"Don't worry, you'll soon see me in action, and then, you'll realize that I'm truly not at the level of the other weaklings.
"After that, you'll approach me and apologize, but guess what..."
Arin just kept staring at Bazooka without saying anything.
Bazooka concluded, "I won't forgive you. Hahahaha!"
Arin sighed. "Okay, he's definitely a little kid. He's just intelligent, that's all."
Arin sat down on the ground and folded his arms, staring at the Raven.
"Oi, Bazooka. Continue, what are your other abilities?" Arin asked.
Bazooka's eyes sparkled again as he quickly forgot all what he was saying and began talking about his Abilities.
"I can shoot some stuff from my eyes... Err, I don't know how to describe it, but don't worry, like I said earlier, you'll soon see me in action."
"Shoot some stuff?" Arin muttered to himself thoughtfully.
Bazooka continued,
"I can also surround myself with this red stuff that protects my entire body, including my head, though it doesn't last for too long.
"Then I can let out a loud shriek that distorts enemies who hear it and makes them lose their composure for a second. A second is really important in battle, especially a heated one, so I consider that Ability of mine quite godly. I'm a god, after all. Hehehe!"
Arin shook his head.
The skills Bazooka was calling were really impressive, and apart from that...
"They sound Vampirish because he keeps mentioning red stuff, which I think is Blood Energy," Arin murmured.
Bazooka continued. "Apart from that, after letting out the loud shriek, my blood flow increases, making my physical capabilities increase too. I become even more godly!"
"Hmm, sounds slightly similar to a certain skill of mine," Arin muttered.
The Raven mentioned a few more things he could do, giving Arin a general idea of his abilities.
Bazooka would be quite powerful on land, but he would be even more powerful in air because of his flight advantage and long-range abilities.
As for his Rank, Arin was unaware of that now.
He first asked the system if there was any information about the Raven, including his Rank, but as usual, there was no response.
He then asked Bazooka, but the Raven didn't even know about Ranks.
'I guess I'll only be able to gauge his rank when I see him in battle,' Arin thought.
"Alright, I'll soon summon you out, but not now," Arin said as he got up from the ground.
"That's right! You should summon me so I can show you my strength. I wanna leave this place," Bazooka said.
Arin grinned. "Is that so? Then if you want me to keep summoning you often, then you have to behave yourself..."
Bazooka was silent.
He stared at Arin for a few seconds, and then...
"Hmph! I'll think about it!"
Arin just shook his head. "You and Seraphine will get along so well..."
Bazooka tilted his head. "Who?"
But he didn't receive any response, because Arin had already exited the space.
Arin opened his eyes. He was already back in the room.
"How did it go?" Seraphine asked. "Did you tell him I said hi?"
Arin's expression instantly paled. "Shit, I forgot."
"Tch... Dumbass," Seraphine muttered.
"But I was able to get a good idea about his Abilities," Arin said.
Roxanne walked towards Arin, eager to hear about Bazooka.
Arin began telling them about Bazooka's Abilities.
"With time, I'll understand his abilities better," Arin concluded.
"Hmm, they sure sound Vampirish..." Roxanne muttered.
"Yeah. My Blood Energy really played a huge role. If not for my Blood Energy, the Raven would have still been weak now and would slowly get stronger."
"Well, at least we have a new ally," Seraphine said.
"Yup."
***********
Starshine City.
The residents of Starshine City were carrying out their daily activities.
Everything was normal, right?
Wrong!
Yes, they were carrying out their daily activities, but they were doing that in fear.
The Vampires could come anytime... At any minute.
And since it was now general knowledge that the Vampires were able to use Mana and could even pretend to be humans, it meant that one could even be walking among them right now...
A carriage levitating along the streets of Starshine City. People kept staring at it; after all, it had the Royal Family's insignia on it.
Two individuals were currently in the carriage, seated in silence, until one decided to break it.
"Vake... I'm coming down here," a boy with long black hair said.
Vake, the commander of the sixth team of the Royal Army, turned to look at Landon.
"My prince, why do you wish to do that?"
Landon smiled... A playful smile.
"I have something to do... That's all."
Vake nodded. "Understood, my Prince!"
Without wasting time, Landon jumped down from the carriage.
Vake could hear the sound of the surprised residents as the carriage continued moving.
A slight frown appeared on his face as he faced forward.
"Fucking bastard..."
The King sent him to get Arin, Tessa, and Leon, but at the last minute, he suddenly ordered Landon to come with him.
"I'm glad he has 'something to do'. He's too playful, and he would've annoyed me if we got to the Village," Vake muttered to himself.
The carriage continued moving, heading towards the exit gate of Starshine City.
He knew the location of the three students he was asked to get, and he couldn't wait to get there. Why?
Because he was planning on beating them up.
"Things have been quite hectic for me for some days now. It won't hurt to cool off..."
"Moreover, it's been a while since I gave someone a good beating... They're just students, they can't be that strong, right?"
But what Vake didn't know was that he was about to receive the greatest shock of his life.
