Chapter 66: 66:So, Who Is It?[II]
Fabi grunted but held his glare.
Kael sighed dramatically. "So, you won’t say anything, huh?"
"Yes." Fabi groaned through clenched teeth.
Kael nodded. "Alright, then."
And just like that..
He shoved his finger straight into Fabi’s eye socket.
"AAAARGHHHHHHHHH!"
Fabi’s screams pierced through the night, raw and filled with agony. His body convulsed, but the ropes binding him held firm.
Kael didn’t stop. He twisted his finger deep inside, feeling the wet squish as he dug around.
POP!
His thumb yanked the eyeball out, leaving a trail of blood and nerves dangling from his fingers.
The knight’s expression turned pale from fear and disgust as they turned away. Chris almost stumbled back in shock.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! YOU FUCKING PSYCHO!" Fabi writhed, his remaining eye rolling back from the pain.
Kael chuckled, holding up the bloody eyeball like a trophy and squished iy. "Huh. I expected this to be tougher to pull out. Guess you weren’t using it much anyway."
Fabi’s breath came in ragged gasps. Blood poured down his cheek, soaking into his torn clothes. His entire body trembled.
Kael crouched beside him, voice as cold as death itself. "Now, let’s try this again. Which bastard sent you?"
Kael leaned in closer, his grin stretching wider as he twirled Fabi’s bloody eyeball between his fingers like a toy. His voice dropped into a calm, almost amused tone.
"Is it Adele?"
Fabi panted heavily, his body trembling from the searing pain. His one remaining eye darted around, searching for an escape any escape.
Kael tilted his head. "No... I don’t think it’s Adele." He tapped his chin mockingly. "She wouldn’t be stupid enough to send her men to die, not when that old coot is here."
"Who the hell are you calling old coot?" Ramos growled, clearly annoyed.
Kael ignored him completely, his cold gaze locked onto Fabi. He crouched down, his voice suddenly sharp. "I’ll ask you again."
Fabi remained silent, his breath coming in ragged gasps.
Kael sighed dramatically. "If you say anything other than what I want to hear, I swear... I will take an iron, heat it up until it’s glowing red, and shove it straight up your ass."
Fabi flinched.
Kael’s grin widened. "But don’t worry, you won’t die."
He placed a hand on Fabi’s shoulder, gripping it tightly. "No, no, no... I won’t kill you. That’s too easy. I’ll make sure you stay alive long enough to regret every second of your miserable existence."
Fabi’s breath hitched.
Kael leaned in, whispering directly into his ear. "I’ll start by feeding you pig shit in the morning. Then, at night, I’ll force you to eat the crap you shit out yourself. And this? This will go on... and on... and on. Until you give me the name of the motherfucker who sent you."
His voice suddenly boomed, making everyone freeze. "IS THAT CLEAR?"
A shockwave of his aura exploded outward.
The knights, who had been standing at attention, almost dropped their weapons.
Some stumbled back, cold sweat dripping down their faces. The sheer killing intent radiating from Kael was overwhelming.
Lunatic.
The same thought ran through every knight’s mind.
He’s a lunatic.
A madman.
Silently, they all made a mental note.
NEVER mess with the Young Lord.
Never. Never.
Kael turned his piercing gaze back to Fabi. "Tell me... is that clear?"
Fabi, his face twisted in agony and terror, croaked out weakly. "Y-Yes..."
Kael’s eyes narrowed. "I don’t hear you."
"YES!" Fabi forced out, his voice shaking.
Kael slammed his fist into the ground beside him, causing the dirt to scatter. "ONCE MORE!"
"YESSSSSSS!" Fabi screamed, his whole body shaking.
Kael finally grinned. "Good." He leaned in, his voice sickeningly sweet. "Now... just tell me... who the fuck sent you?"
Fabi gasped for breath, his whole body trembling. His mind was on the verge of breaking, but he still bit his tongue to stop himself from speaking.
Ramos frowned, feeling something was wrong.
The man clearly tried to speak but as if something was blocking him.He got up and spoke with Kael however..
Kael sighed and cracked his neck, as if growing bored. He stood up and stretched, rolling his shoulders.
"Still not talking?" His voice was almost disappointed. "Man, you’re really making me work for this, huh?"
Fabi clenched his jaw, trying to hold his ground.
Kael rubbed his temples. "Alright. Plan B."
Without warning, Kael stomped down hard on Fabi’s already broken fingers.
"AGHHHHH!" Fabi shrieked, his body convulsing from the fresh wave of pain.
Kael let out a whistle. "Damn, that sounded painful." He pressed his boot down harder, twisting it slightly. "You know, if you’d just spit out the name, I wouldn’t have to keep doing this."
Fabi’s breath came in short gasps, his body shaking violently.
Kael crouched down again, his tone still eerily casual. "What’s the point of staying loyal to someone who sent you to die? They obviously don’t give a shit about you. You were just another pawn to throw away."
Fabi glared at him through his remaining eye, blood dripping from his mouth as he spoke between ragged breaths. "I... don’t... betray... my employer."
Kael smirked. "Cute. But you see, I’m not asking for betrayal."
He grabbed a nearby dagger, running his fingers along the blade. "I’m asking for survival."
Fabi’s breath hitched.
Kael’s grin widened. "How about this? You tell me what I want, and in return, I’ll let you walk away. Maybe with a few missing fingers, but hey, you’ll still be breathing."
Fabi stayed silent, though his trembling body betrayed his resolve.
Kael clicked his tongue. "Tch. Fine, be that way."
Then, without hesitation, he stabbed the dagger straight through Fabi’s thigh.
"ARRRGHHHHH!" Fabi’s screams filled the night, echoing through the camp.
Kael twisted the blade slowly. "Talk."
Fabi’s breath came in ragged gasps, his face drenched in sweat.
Kael pressed his forehead against Fabi’s, eyes gleaming with insanity. "Say. The. Fucking. Name."
Fabi’s body shook violently. His mind was breaking, the pain unbearable.
And then..
Through gritted teeth, he finally gasped out—
"It... It was... IT Wsd..Ban Athas."
