Chapter 78: 78:Assault
The chaos in the room grew as the knights staggered, trying to regain their footing against Kael’s relentless assault.
Then, a sword scraped against the floor.
Kael’s eyes flickered to the side.
Ariana, her round face determined, picked up a fallen sword. The weight of it was unfamiliar in her hands, but her grip was firm.
Despite her plump figure, she moved gracefully into the fray, her steps light, her stance instinctive.
Baron Altross’s face twisted in fury. Veins bulged in his forehead as he pointed at Ariana, his voice trembling with rage.
"Y-You wretched thing!" he spat.
"What are you doing?"
"I am doing what I need to do."Ariana spoke coldly.
"You dare fight against me?! You fat, useless disgrace! I should’ve killed you when you were born, you ugly duckling!"
Baroness Hela shrieked, her hands clenched in disgust. "How dare you?! You filthy pig! Do you think swinging a sword will make you less of a failure?! Put that down before you embarrass yourself!"
Ariana’s heart throbbed.
She had heard these words her entire life.
Fat. Useless. A mistake. A burden.
Her grip tightened on the sword in anger.
"TSKKK!"
Kael clicked his tongue.
Ariana turned toward him, expecting encouragement only to see him scowling.
"Hey," he muttered. "Did I ask for your help? Why are you jumping out of nowhere?"
He laughed a bit.It wasn’t encouragement but her sadness vanished rather she was angry now.
’Bastard!" 𝑛𝘰𝑣𝑝𝑢𝑏.𝘤𝑜𝘮
"Shut up!" she shouted, her eyes burning with rage.
And with that, she charged.
A knight swung at her from the left. Ariana twisted—her large body moving shockingly fast. She ducked under the attack, then slammed the hilt of her sword into the knight’s stomach. The man gagged and staggered back.
Kael snorted, sidestepping another knight’s thrust before grabbing the man’s wrist and snapping it backward. The knight screamed as Kael flipped him over, slamming him onto the ground.
A knight lunged at her with a dagger.
Ariana twisted—her weight shifting fluidly—and her body spun with unexpected grace.
WHOOSH!
The blade sliced past her by inches. Before the knight could react, she stepped in—slamming her sword’s hilt into his gut.
THUD!
The knight choked, his body curling forward.
Before he could recover, Kael was already there.
SLASH!
Kael’s sword tore through the knight’s neck, spraying the floor with blood.
Another knight charged at Kael, raising his sword overhead.
Ariana stepped beside him—her sword angled at Kael’s back—blocking an incoming strike meant for him.
Kael let out a low whistle.
"Hah! Not bad, fatty."
Ariana growled. "I told you to shut up!"
She spun again, her sword flashing toward a knight’s knee cracking it.
The knight screamed, collapsing.
Kael’s boot came down on the man’s head, crushing it against the shattered floor.
Another knight attempted to stab Kael from behind—
Ariana caught the movement.
She rushed forward, gripping the knight’s arm, and twisted it with raw strength.
SNAP!
A sickening crunch filled the air.
The knight’s howl of agony was cut short when Kael’s sword plunged through his heart.
Ariana took a deep breath and moved in sync with Kael.
A knight lunged—she stepped to the side, her sword sweeping low to knock him off balance.
Kael used that opening, grinning wildly as he drove his sword through the knight’s chest.
Another knight swung at Ariana’s back—Kael grabbed the man’s wrist mid-air and twisted him around, exposing his back to Ariana.
With a growl, she plunged her sword into his shoulder.
One by one, the knights fell.
They fought effortlessly, their movements synchronized—a dance of destruction neither of them had planned, but both instinctively followed.
Their attacks were instinctive, a synchronized rhythm neither had practiced but flowed naturally.
Step, dodge, strike.
Kael would bait an attack Ariana would punish it.
Ariana would hold a knight in place—Kael would end them.
Their bodies weaved through the battlefield, filling the room with the sounds of shrieks, blood splattering, and the clash of steel.
Baron Altross’s face twisted in rage as he watched Ariana butcher his knights.
"You wretched whore!" he roared. "You traitorous pig! How dare you fight against me?! You should have been drowned at birth, you fat, disgusting failure!"
His wife, Baroness Hela, screeched like a dying crow.
"You think you’re a warrior now?! You’re nothing but a walking disgrace! You’ll always be a pathetic, ugly pig!"
Ariana’s grip tightened around her sword.
But Kael—
Kael clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"Hah. You guys have terrible parenting skills."
Then, in a flash—
He threw his sword.
It impaled a knight right through the mouth, his skull exploding as the blade burst out the back of his head.
The blood splattered across Baron Altross’s expensive rug.
The Baron and his wife flinched.
Kael grinned.
"Whoops." He stretched his arms. "My hand slipped."
Ariana grinned, her breath ragged but exhilarated but then her instinct screamed.
Noticing Ariana focus on Baron Altross who was cured,Albert devised a sneak attack.
He had been waiting for an opening and now it was the time.
Seeing Ariana occupied, he lunged his sword aimed for her back.
But Ariana’s instincts screamed. Her body reacted before her mind did.
She threw her sword. The blade spun dangerously close to Albert’s face.He jerked back, barely dodging—
And in that moment,Ariana moved. Her plump fist slammed into his face but in a close moment, Albert shook his head and pulled out a hidden blade.
SHNK!
A sharp glint of metal flashed behind her.
He smirked, slashing hid hidden blade toward her back.Without thinking, she threw herself away to dodge.
The hidden blade missed forcing Albert to jerk back to dodge. And in that moment, she spun around over her belly using the momentum of her weight and hit Albert’s leg causing him to stumble.
"KYAAKK!"
Albert gasped and fall only to see a plump fatty knuckles coming at his face.
Her plump fist smashed into Albert’s face.
CRACK!
His nose broke instantly, blood spraying everywhere as his eyes widened in horror.
Ariana grabbed his collar and delivered three more brutal punches to his face.
Albert shrieked, his hands flailing. "H-Help me! Father! HELP ME!"
Ariana sneered. "I’ve been waiting for this!"
With a brutal kick, she sent him crashing into a broken chair, groaning in pain.
She wiped the sweat from her brow and turned toward Kael.
He was standing still.
His expression became serious.
Something was wrong.
Ariana frowned. "What happened?"
Kael’s jaw clenched.
"...That bastard escaped."
CRACK!
Albert’s nose shattered.
Blood poured from his nostrils as he stumbled back, stunned.
Ariana grabbed him by the collar.
With pure brute strength, she yanked him forward—delivering three brutal punches to his jaw.
BAM! BAM! BAM!
Albert’s face twisted in horror.
This wasn’t the pathetic weakling he used to torment.
This was a monster.
"A-Ariana—"
BANG!
Ariana kicked him straight in the chest.
Albert crashed into a broken chair, his limbs flailing like a helpless ragdoll.
"I’ve been waiting for this!" she snarled, her fists trembling with exhilaration.
Albert whimpered, crawling back, his bloodied face twisted in terror.
"F-Father! H-HELP ME!" he screamed.
Ariana grinned, cracking her knuckles.
She stepped forward to finish him off—
But Kael froze.
His body stiffened.
His expression turned serious.
Ariana blinked.
"...What happened?"
Kael’s jaw clenched.
"...That bastard escaped."
