Chapter 100: 100

"Child of Kaos, who is this Kaos?" Osisi asked ikem.

Ikem shook his and said, "I Don’t know and that was my main focus, it was on the enrichers and destroyers of world that got my attention"

"According to Red, The children of kaos when ever they come across world will release the rain of fire like they did to our world, as you already noticed this rain of fire contains a lot of treasure and never seen before weapon on it"

"That was the enrichers part as they drop treasures giving opportunities to different worlds and for the destroyer part was where Red said something concerning" Ikem said as he downed another drink and stayed silent to gather his thoughts.

"Red said while those treasures can be seen as good, it might also bring with it something else that may threaten our world, of course he said there is a small chance of that happening but it still got me worried" Ikem said to Osisi who has been silent all this while.

"Ikem you know i will be lying to you, if i told you i wasn’t looking forward to an surprise that came from those treasures, and now you told me this secret i am now looking forward to finding more about those treasures"

Osisi saw Ikem stayed silent, so he said "I might have been the wrong person to bring this issue up with Ikem, I can understand your worriers as you are a father and a leader who have people to protect but me understanding means nothing, I wouldn’t be able to give any accurate advice to help in your situation. Why haven’t you brought this up yet with other demigods" Osisi asked Ikem.

"I Wanted to contact them at first, but understood it was useless without no proof to prove my words, I would look like a joke to other demigods who would think I was raising a false alarm from just a word from an unknown creature," Ikem said as he massaged his head.

Osisi looked at the disturbed Ikem, he knows full well of his capabilities and he knows Ikem knows that too, "So what does he hope to achieve telling me about this" Osisi thought to himself looking at Ikem who scooped up another drink.

"I see, he is not seeking help just someone to talk this out with and clear his thoughts" Osisi thought to himself as he stretched out a branch tapping Ikem shoulders and said "So what is it that worries you the most about this situation?"

Ikem looked at the branch on his shoulders, "I have discussed and planned out most of the problem with my children without directly stating why it has to be so, my biggest issue now is if whatever came was something we can’t handle, worst of all is already among us with no one knowing and is blending in well only to surprise us one day"

"I hate that I have no knowledge of the possible enemy, what they look like, what their attack method is. I can only prepare my people in any possible way I can think of" Ikem said as he shook his head.

"What if after all this you worry, there won’t be any attack?" Osis asked Ikem.

"Then that will be for the best, but then my worries will change to the humans Osisi, you haven’t seen it but they humans outside are going crazy, i don’t know how many corpse and destroyed settlements i walked by on my way here"

"The treasure brought out the worst in them, now they are all focused on fighting and conquering each other. I will have to worry about their boosted confidence, whether they will make a move on my people which I don’t want as they greatly outnumber us" Ikem said.

"Humans, you mean the form you take after you take back your demigod form?" Osisi asked.

"Yes that, Father said the mother planet Nana didn’t want the gods interfering with them but from the way things are going they will be interfering with us very soon"

Thinking of something, Ikem looked at Osisi "You might come across them soon the more you stay in this place, they might get curious about the structure in this place. Hope you handle it well then"

"Interesting, a race the gods never laid hands on. I would be curious about what they are like but from your short description I don’t look forward to seeing them" Osisi said, which caused Ikem to laugh.

"No need for that Osisi, you might come across nice humans who are just curious. Besides, meeting them can create a way for us to interact with them" Ikem said.

"You don’t seem that worried about the humans,"Osisi asked Ikem who was laughing.

"Not really, they do outnumber us but they are likely to lessen their number themselves either from killing each other or using those treasures" Ikem answered happily after being down.

"How are they losing their life from the treasures?" Osisi asked Ikem as he himself and the people in the shrine haven’t had them to interact or research with the treasures and weapons they found yet, they are still trying to put things back together.

"You haven’t researched yet, but my people found out that if you have no mana of your own to power the weapons and their effects, the weapon will instead use the owner life force as firewood to power itself, so most of the humans killing each other have either being dying from too much wrong usage of the weapons" Ikem answered the curios Osisi.

"These humans don’t sound so bright, why continue using something that can kill and endanger your life? ’’ Osisi asked with confusion in his voice.

"That my friend is what i don’t understand, we could only attribute it to them being too hungry for power or statues to ignore everything else" Ikem answered as he himself is also uncertain on why the humans act the way they do.

"Enough about the humans and enemies, time for why I am really here" Ikem said.

"It’s concerning the recent developments outside the palace. I believe Some apelings have taken possession of some of treasures that fell from the sky and kept it to themselves, with the factor of something else coming with the treasures that may prompt the apelings to use it against their own people, there’s a slight concern that they might perceive the cursed clans as a threat. For some apelings the cursed clans have it better than them so that might prompt them to make a move with whatever weapon hey find" Ikem said.

"That’s quite troubling. What do you propose we do?" Osisi asked.

"I’ve been contemplating a solution. We’re planning to establish an academy for the normal apelings, excluding the cursed ones. The goal is to provide them with a space for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and mentorship, easing tensions and dispelling any misconceptions" Ikem said as he took a sip of his drink.

"An academy? Interesting. How can I or the shrine assist in this endeavor?"

"I’d like the shrine to contribute by sending skilled individuals to serve as teachers for the academy. However, I understand that our resources are limited. That’s why I suggest selecting a group of promising apelings who have shown exceptional magical talent to join the shrine temporarily. They can receive further training and contribute to the academy’s success, so be prepared for the mass of apelings that will be coming to the shrine"

Osisi nodded in contemplation before saying "I see the potential benefits of such an initiative. It aligns with the shrine’s mission to foster growth among our people. We can spare a few skilled individuals to serve as teachers, and I’ll personally oversee the selection of apelings to act as teachers’’

"Your support is crucial, Osisi. I believe this academy will not only benefit the apelings but also strengthen the bonds among all clans. It’s a step towards a more united community and strength growth for all apelings" Ikem said.

"I agree, Ikem but I hope you know this will take time. I can’t just let the shrine apelings move over to the kingdom immediately, they have to stay here and train the new incoming apelings who will fill in their gaps and not limit the growth of the shrine, especially now we have a lot more on our plate like researching the treasures’’

"You know the shrine group is the best at things of this nature, and I am sure you are expecting results from us, which is why losing the capable individuals we have now isn’t exactly good, so we need time" Osisi said to Ikem.

Ikem nodded at the words "Just like you said Osisi, but no need to worry about that, as building the academy will take time, a lot of things will need to be done for the academy to fully start working, I believe those time will be all you need to train the new group and fill up the missing gaps for when you are ready to send the teachers to the academy"
