Somewhere outside the place down in the mountains, where a clearing can be seen with apelings of different types can be seen gathering and working together, some apelings can be seen digging up the earth while the others are busy crying and transporting woods that are needed, but one thing they all had in common was the look of anticipation on their face as they worked.
In the same clearing, somewhere in the trees an apeling can see calmly sitting on the trees while looking at the other busy apelings, the apelings made no move to help and neither did he look interested in what was going on.
"An academy is a good chance and opportunity to corrupt and get a few men on my sides, it was unlucky of me getting the body of this apeling and having a demigod over my head all the time but this academy is a good chance to sprout the ideas of corruption and rebellion into these eager apeling ready to change their lives" The apeling thought as it stood up where where it was sitting before swinging away.
The day went by fast and soon came the next day when all of a sudden the whole mountain turned up a voice of celebration of joy could be heard. This was a normal reaction for the apelings whenever their King is back.
Ikem smiled as he pushed the carriage filled with his new favorite drink up the mountain as he waved back at his people who was happy to see him back, From a certain view from the mountain he could get a view of the academy building taking place which brought a smile on his face as he continued making his way back up the mountain.
Soon Ikem got to the palace, where Zephyr and the other clan members’ representatives were all waiting for him. As soon as they saw him, the Terra clan member ran forward and took over pushing the carriage which Ikem smiled at seeing his grandson so eager to help him.
Zephyr seeing his father back, almost wanted to act out and scream "finally" but he held himself back as he smiled and bowed to his father and said "Welcome back dad, what’s that you were carrying"
Ikem ruffled Zephyr hair as he looked back at the carriage which is now being taken to the back of the place, "Good to be back son and as for that, those guys at the shrine cooked up something good which i grabbed me a handful of, trust me you will love it when you try it"
Zephyr raised his brows at his fathers words, he knows full well there are few things that gets his father this way, "Can’t wait to try it, but i have something i need to talk to you about"
Ikem hearing Zephyr word said nothing as he walked back into the place with Zephyr gesturing at the other council members to follow behind.
Ikem sat back down in his throne as the other council member and Zephyr also all sat down in their place, Ikem cleared his throat "what was so urgent, you couldn’t wait for me to rest after my journey back home"
Zephyr bowed, "Apologizes father, but this is something that can’t wait. The faster we act the better it will be for us"
"Go ahead," Ikem said as he nodded.
"This is concerning the humans father, particularly a human named Osita. At first nothing seems different from the behavior of this human as he is engaged in fighting, killing and conquering just like the other humans but this one is different as unlike his predecessors who die along the way in their conquering path, he has managed to survive which lead to him having a lot of humans gathered under him"
"Once we got news of this human, scouts were sent out to keep an eye on his settlement but weirdly since then, he hasn’t been seen. Yet strangely everything still is working perfectly in his settlement showing that clearly there is someone on top and men are still sent out from the settlement to go and take over other tribes but lately that hasn’t been going so well"
Zephyr stopped talking to see if he got his fathers attention but all he got in response was a question look on "Why have you stopped?" Nodding Zephyr spoke.
"It first have to start with how successful with how this Osita was in his conquering journey leading to him to gather a lot of humans under him, but We all think he forgot the fact the more he gathers the more mouth he has to feed, so now at this moment in Osita settlement hunger hangs over everyone, female, male or children. To add salt to the wound, osita seems to have great disregard for the men under him as after they have been weaken by using the magical weapon he disturbed they are tossed aside as new fresh ones take over and continue his goal on taking over territories"
Zephyr wanted to continue talking but his father’s raised hand stopped him, "I can guess the rest" His father said.
"I am guessing there is resentment from the people and some are wanting to rebel and all that" Ikem said as he rubbed his shin.
Zephyr nodded at that, "Exactly, and those who bears this resentment are the one responsible on why things hasn’t been going so well for Osita, the scouts found out that people from Osita settlement have been sending message/Information over to an allied tribe who came together to hold of their halt Osita progress"
"I see, what have you and the council members decided?" Ikem nodded as he asked.
Zephyr, was about to speak up but the Ripple clan member spoke up first, "Let me your highness" She said to Zephyr who nodded, waving his hand to show he didn’t mind.
"Your majesty, We decided that we must reach out to those allied tribes and perhaps we can strengthen those alliances to counterbalance Osita’s aggression and halt his progress. We know you ordered for us to not interfere but as the situation stands we fear we can no longer just stand aside" The ripple clan member said as she bowed.
The palace fell silent, the only thing heard was the sound of Ikem tapping the armrest of his throne while deep in his thought, "Things are moving faster than I want it to, I thought the humans problem will play out among themselves giving us time to strengthen ourselves and multiply. But things are different with this new introduced element Osita"
"You mentioned about a group in this Osita settlement that seems to be working against him; Right?" Ikem Asked Zephyr as he stopped tapping his hands.
"Yes, father," Zephyr quickly nodded.
"I agree with the solution you found but before we go ahead supporting anybody we need a lot of information, so here is what we will do"
"Zephyr, pay a visit to the research group in charge of the gathered treasures we have found. Tell me i have a request which is to pick out among those found treasure weapons or artifact with great concealing ability" Ikem said to Zephyr while thinking to himself "Hope there is something similar there" 𝚗o𝚟pub.𝚌𝚘𝚖
"If there is no such treasure, get back to me so we can think of a new plan but if there is quickly send it to the scouts in charge of Osita settlement, and remember you are to do that personally"
"Once you send them the treasures, inform them that their mission has changed, which is they have to now make contact and go into the settlement in search of the group who is opposed to this osita, once the group has been found."
"Quickly report back to me" Ikem said to Zephyr who nodded in understanding as he stood up "Understood, father. I will go to the research group immediately and relay your request. If there’s anything with concealment abilities among the treasures, I’ll ensure it’s swiftly sent to the scouts."
With a final bow, Zephyr turned to leave the throne room. As he stepped outside, he could feel the weight of responsibility pressing down on him. This was the first time, they are making such huge action, he expects it to be the same as going into combat with his father but no it was different, "The wellness and peace of mind for my people is involved in whatever father is planning"
Now alone with the council members, Ikem smiled seeing how tense they were. "Relax, we are doing nothing too big"
"But I have a mission for you guys too, once you leave this place. Gather around a squad of capable soldiers. Doing this without raising any alert, it is important to make sure that no one knows what is happening except those you have all picked out" Ikem expression turned serious as he warned them.
