Ikem meanwhile sat in silence as he watched Osita work, he truly didn’t expect things to work out the way it did but he most certainly is happy that it went this way.
The information he just gained from Osita can help get him better prepared for what’s coming in the near future and he most certainly can now stand proudly in front of his cousins the other demigod when he shares the news with them.
Ikem now knows one thing, the enemy is weakened and will be trying their best to get back to their full strength before taking action, and from Osita’s case they can still be prevented from doing that if found out early.
The only issue now being that the enemy can’t be killed or taken care of, so we have to tread carefully on how we approach and apprehend them. Ikem has to make sure that the other demigod understood that unless all he did today was for nothing.
Ikem sat in the basement with Osita until the sun was about to rise when Osita finally was done, handing the book with the runic knowledge. Osita said "This is what you requested for your highness" 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓅𝓊𝓫.𝒸ℴ𝓶
Ikem said nothing as he took the book before standing up and said "My eyes are always on you Osita" With that Ikem walked back up the stairs he came from but as he was about to leave from the door to the basement, he saw Osita hand bloom in flames to destroy his seat.
"I will take it as a disrespect when next time I come here and don’t see my precious seat and throne. Be mindful of the Osita" Ikem calmly said as he phased through the wooden door leaving Osita who stood there in silence with a fireball in his hands.
A smile came upon Ikem’s face as he heard the suppressed angry roar coming from the basement. He found out something after communicating with Osita.
Under the facade of a knowledgeable demon lies a new consciousness which is Osita, he might have had knowledge from a long life time but from Osita word this is the first time for him as a whole being of his own.
This shows from how, even with his extensive knowledge, he still makes questionable decisions like for example how he prematurely merged because he felt himself being threatened, the knowledge is there but not the experience which Ikem is planning on taking advantage of.
Having his throne on Osita basement where Ikem noticed he truly seems to like will surely get to the new consciousness nerve, as he will be stuck with the thought of me coming by whenever I want to, which in turn Ikem hopes that he makes another mistake. Thinking of that, Ikem had a huge smile on his face as he clenched the book he knows will push his people to the next level.
As Osita left the settlement and went back to the forest on his way back to his kingdom, in a huge ethereal space where Nana lives.
A screen show Osita and Ikem can be seen as she watched their interaction the whole time, she was forced to fully awake once he saw Ikem advance to Osita settlement.
She was scared he would immediately take action out of anger and leave future problem for everyone especially herself, but she was surprised at the turn of events on how he calmly was able to talk with calmly with the Cambion as still managed to leave without taking a loss rather with a huge book as his people strength will go to the next level with the knowledge about the runes.
"Ikenga, you truly raised a good grandson. How I wish I could tell him how much I appreciated him for what he did" Nana said with a smile on her face.
Feeling her ever growing body with the gods sleep, Nana calculated on them being Fully awake in the next fifty years, "Until then, your kids will be holding things down and just from one your child behavior. I can most certainly be at peace"
Ikem this time didn’t hurry on his way back home as he was taking a look at the book Osita gave him, but his attention was fully on it as he occasionally looked around to see if he will come across the same creature he met before but nothing happened so he could only pay attention to the book.
According to the book’s, rune is the language of the elements that resides in a place called the elemental plane, knowledge about runes started after some beings long in the past were able to get to the elemental plane where they came to learn the language which can’t be spoken by non-elemental beings but can be understood and written down.
This languages when written down tend to have different effects on the physical world, from Osita words in the book, runes can be used and explored differently depending on its user as runes is a language that is built upon by your own understanding of how it’s basic works.
Understanding how the basic works, you can explore from your own there, like combining different runic languages to create a new effect even to the level of making your rune words once you get good with it.
"Interesting, elemental worlds and languages are truly interesting. Dad has always thought that maybe these elements are conscious and have its own thoughts and now with this book it confirms everything he thought" Ikem thought to himself as he looked at the book.
He continued this way until before he knew it was standing in front of the mountain where his kingdom lays.
"It seems we have to have our pen of magical animals from the words on this book" Osita thought to himself, the book states that for beginners to use and learn runes you are required to have medium and one of the medium being the blood of magical animals if possible pertaining to the element needed.
Once proficient in it, the medium is no longer needed and can now be drawn in thin air. Ikem felt hoggish with the new knowledge he had, he can’t wait to see what he can do with it, he also plans on sending a copy to Osisi who may better understand himself and what is happening to him with the runes.
For now things have to straightened out in my kingdom, "If I am to guess right then the academy should be completed by now"
Swirly making his way up the mountain to his place as the sun slowly set, Ikem got to his palace to see his son Zephyr dressed up in his armor as he sat near a pillar he laid his head in to sleep.
Shaking his head from that, Ikem smiled as he walked up to wake Ikem up who immediately reacted once he got close by blasting out a wing which threatened to throw him off his feet but he calmly stood his ground as he felt the nice cold wind of the rising sun blowing all over his face.
"Dad?" Ikem heard as he looked at Zephyr who looked very happy seeing that it was him.
"Why do you have your armor on?" Ikem asked Zephyr, whose expression changed as he looked down at himself.
"I couldn’t sleep," Zephyr said as he looked at Ikem.
"I knew you were going to be safe but for some reason I found it hard to lay down and sleep so I put on my armor and left my room patrolling the kingdom just in case, my last destination was the pillar where I fell asleep" Zephyr said after pausing for a while.
"Hmm, I see" Ikem said as he walked through the door as he headed for his throne room.
"How did it go, father?" Zephyr asked.
Ikem took a moment to answer before he said "Weird"
"The whole thing was weird, I went there with the sole intention of taking out our future problems but it turned out that Osita is more than we thought him out to be" Ikem said as they finally reached the throne room.
"Mind if I ask how, father?" Zephyr asked Ikem who shook his head.
"You already know enough so it changes nothing if you know more," Ikem said as he sat down on his throne.
Zephyr found him a place to sit and listened to his father inform him on his whole conversation with Osita.
While Ikem was recounting the whole incident, Zephyr was busy shifting uncomfortably in his seat, at the same time his facial expression was changing and he looked completely confused and uncomfortable.
Ikem finished recounting by throwing the book he got at Zephyr who caught it "This was the book of runic knowledge I was able to get from the whole incident, quite an interesting book. Once our people understand its usage I believe our kingdom and everything we do will usher in a new and better change" Ikem said.
