For the short time the gates were active, it let people of Nana gain access to different parts of their world, the humans were able to see other races different from their neighbors.
The gates were also connected to the underwater kingdom letting the murlocs, sharkmen to gain access to the surface world.
The gate was open and free for just one year, leading to cultural exchanges, some humans even changed location and home, preferring to live in a new continent rather than their own.
While the gates brought a lot of good things with it, it also came with the bad, as some humans with bad intentions took advantage of the gates to steal, attack other humans who looked different from them.
The incident brought the attention of the demigods who intervened and had each gate under supervision, now depending on the part of the world it is. There are soldiers from the offspring of the gods standing guard in all of them.
Many had a lot of things to say about this incident but the most talked about as how the incident may have been the reason why the dragons left the humans to their own doing no longer appearing again.
Down in the eastern continent, where the kingdom of the apelings is located, changes over the last few decades can be seen. The mountains around the main palace are now no longer filled with forest and wildlife.
Instead it now has buildings on it from the top to bottom, the same can be said for the surrounding lands around the mountains. The population of the apelings skyrocketed once Eriri the son of Ikem came up with a product that will make things more fun and intense in the bedroom.
Everyone went crazy with it, the product was so good that precaution was out of the window. For more than a year after the product was out. You could barely see any apelings outside their home once the clock hits eight.
The product combined with the blessing of the goddess of moon and motherhood, quickly boosted the population quickly, it was only about four years ago that the product was banned and rarely sent out to the market by the royal family.
The apelings weren’t the only ones that enjoyed the product, Ikem step-brother Maul was able to get his hands on the product through the gates which also helped his people, now both of their population has caught up to the population of the harpies and underwater kingdom.
On the mountain where the royal palace is located, On the throne that has changed over the years is the ever growing Ikem who now was the same height as his father divine form before he went to sleep.
Floating right in front of Ikem was a huge mirror half his size, with runes writing around it. The reflective part of the mirror showed a whole different picture, it shows the room belonging to a woman and of high class at that.
Right on cue, a golden wave of hair filled the screen showing the beautiful face of a woman who Ikem has come to love. No matter how many years he sees the face, he still can’t get tired of it.
"Stop gawking" A voice from the mirror said prompting Ikem to smile sheepishly as his form immediately shifted as he went back to his human form, bare chested and wrapped around his waist was a green colored Ogodo with leaves pattern in and golden around the edges.
Ikem in his human form, looked like a carbon copy of his father apart from the green colored pupils and the hair choice, unlike his father who went for locs, Ikem chose to continue with braids with his own twist on it making he look even more handsome than he should.
"You know I can’t stop doing that Ursula" Ikem said to the woman in the mirror with a smile on his face.
Ursula on the other side of the mirror rolled her eyes but a smile couldn’t help blooming on her face "You know you could come over and do more than just look" She said with a face that said accept the challenge.
"There will be time for that, but for now it is enough for me seeing your face" Ikem said as the mirror moved forward a bit towards him as he put his hand on it causing a rune writing to appear around the part where he laid his hand, Ursula didn’t the same placing her hand on the mirror in front of her.
Both felt the warmth from each other’s hand, before the screen on the mirror went off. They are both kings and leaders, and there are a lot of people to lead. So they can’t indulge any further forsaking their duties, that was a lesson they learnt from the past.
Waving his hand, the mirror shrunk before being held firmly in Ikem’s hand as he smiled, while turning back to his demigod form, with a hand on his chin as he thought back on how they met.
It all started when Brix and Aqua, during the journey on restoring the land, noticed that they were near Ikem’s kingdom. Halting their Journey they all made their way towards Ikem palace with their other treant companion.
Ikem was so happy when he saw the two of them, that he quickly threw a part to the level he even went against his order calling back all his kids to make sure they were part of the feast, it was more as a respect for both Brix and Aqua as Ikem knew how fond they were of his kids before they left and right now the best way to say thanks for all those times was to show both of them ho far the kids have come.
The whole week Brix and Aqua was here, it was a time of Joy and happiness for all apelings as they partied and was drunk for the whole week, Ikem and everyone who was in the royal family almost drank out the wine that the people of the shrine has managed to save over the years.
But all good things came to an end, as Ikem had a serious talk with Brix and Aqua on the happenings of their world, the invaders, dragon and his meeting with the demon. Brix and Aqua were surprised at that as they both shared their weird encounter with the mushroom man and hearing Ikem words made everything make sense.
Ikem at that time learnt that the invaders were not only demons, it could also possibly be other life forms in their world, Ikem remembered bringing up the Issue on how he would like to inform the other demigods on the news that he has so that they can be better prepared.
It started with Aqua asking Ikem to contact Tweet, who with his speed can relay the news to the other demigods but Ikem countered by saying that not all demigod will get the news only Ursula and Maul as they both are in the surface but he knows that he has other cousin who are in the underworld and deep in the sea who also needs to get the new.
It was then that Brix brought out the brilliant Idea of using Osisi to inform his two cousins in the underworld. Ikem already told them about Osisi and his recent adventure with the dead and underworld space, Brix thought it was a good idea to replicate that but this time it will be as an invitation to the two demigods.
Ikem at the time remembered then one of the advantages of staying inside their parents’ realm, which was how you can be teleported to any part of the world just by communicating with the realm consciousness on where you can go. This at the same time made Ikem realize how both of his two cousins could be the best means of information exchange between them all.
Once that was out of the way, all that was left was Informing Osisi and thinking of possible ideas that will help him train his power faster to the level where he can control the happenings on his own will. At the same time, Brix and Aqua promised Ikem before they resumed their journey that since they were planning on going to the other continent for help, they will do their best in relaying the message to the other demigod they will find.
Ikem remembered asking how they planned on crossing the sea but all Aqua did was raise his arms covered in water smiling at Ikem.
Before they left, something else happened before they left which in their own words at the time "Doing the job assigned to us, young master" Ikem remembered looking stunned at how they referred to him and the look of show on his son’s face and the laughter of Ripple who could barely hold herself back at the time.
