Chapter 1153: 524 Hunter_1 Chapter 1153: 524 Hunter_1 Kelly Martinez drove Aubree Groove to the tea house.
“Are you sure you don’t need me to stay with you?”
Aubree Groove got out of the car without looking back: “No need.”
“Alright then, call me if you need anything.”
Kelly Martinez watched Aubree Groove walk into the tea house, confident in her capabilities.
The time was still early, and Benefit University was nearby.
For some inexplicable reason, Kelly parked her car in front of the university.
She put on a touch of lipstick, tied her hair in a high ponytail, and slipped into a pair of sneakers.
As she entered the university gates, the guards didn’t stop her.
The campus was vast.
...
Kelly rented a shared bike and began to wander aimlessly.
As expected from a prestigious university, even the plane trees that lined the roads were imposing.
The young students riding past her hurriedly on their bikes didn’t stare, with their serious yet composed expressions, each carried a confidence as though they were in their element.
This was once a dream she shared with Callista too.
“Professor Gartia’s lecture is starting soon.
If we’re late, we won’t get good seats.”
Kelly turned around to see two young girls with backpacks sprinting on the main road.
Almost instinctively, Kelly followed them on her bike.
The two girls kept running for about ten minutes, a race like no other they had in high school.
It led to an enormous modern teaching building.
Kelly parked her bike and walked into the building.
The lecture hall on the second floor was almost full.
If one were to look closely, they’d notice that most of the people sitting in front were female.
Such a gender ratio seemed abnormal for a science-oriented academic faculty.
The classroom was quiet, no one was chatting.
Before the lecturer arrived, everyone was silently revising.
Occasionally, a few stylishly dressed girls could be seen swiftly touching up their makeup in the mirror.
Kelly entered from the back door.
Fortune favors the bold, the last seat left was in a corner.
As Kelly sat down, a round-faced girl glared at her.
Kelly smiled sweetly, “Sorry, it’s first come, first served.”
The girl was almost in tears, “It took me so much effort to get into Professor Gartia’s class.
I’m not going anywhere, you should.”
Kelly cleared her throat, lowering her voice, “You seem to really like Professor Gartia.”
“Professor Gartia is my idol.
You must not disrespect him.” The girl was furious, her gaze protective like a mother hen.
Suddenly, the girl looked suspiciously at Kelly, “What major are you in?
I don’t remember seeing you before.”
Kelly touched her nose, “Ah, I’m from the literature department.
I’ve heard so much about Professor Gartia, I came out of admiration.”
At this, the girl snorted dismissively, “What’s a literature major doing here?
Do you understand advanced algebra?”
Kelly laughed, “Even if I don’t understand it, it won’t stop me from attending the class, right?”
The girl simply sat down on the stairway, taking out her textbook and laying her notes on her lap, pulling out a pen to go over the last lesson’s content.
Deeply amused, Kelly propped her face up and asked, “What’s your name?”
“Angelica James.”
“Angelica, can I take a look at your notes?”
Angelica instinctively clutched her notes tighter, treasuring them as if they were priceless.
Only then did she realize that the other woman who came to attend the lecture didn’t even bring a book or a pen.
“Just another fan girl.
People like you don’t deserve to attend Professor Gartia’s lectures.”
Kelly arched an eyebrow, “My coming here is already doing you guys and Professor Gartia a favor.”
Angelica rolled her eyes, “Stop bragging.”
Just then, a set of lecture notes were handed over from nearby.
As Kelly turned around, she met the gentle gaze of a female student.
“Here, borrow my notes.
Professor Gartia occasionally checks the homework of the previous class, he’s very strict.
If you can’t answer, you’ll have to stand for the whole class.”
Kelly curved her lips, “He’s so strict?
Why do you all still like to attend his class?”
Angelica answered on impulse, “Because Professor Gartia teaches well.
His lectures are never boring.
Someone like you wouldn’t understand.”
“Thank you.” Kelly took the notes, flipping them open to scan the pages.
The pages were densely filled with symbols and numbers, enough to make anyone’s head reel.
The female student next to her glimpsed at Kelly, “No offense, but I’m also from the literature department.
Which major are you in?”
“A nobody not worth mentioning.”
The female student curved her lips upward, her pretty face fresh and gentle, “My name is Larisa Dankworth.
I’m from Archaeology and Literature.”
As Kelly looked at the young, beautiful face before her, she couldn’t help but marvel internally.
Professor Violetta Gartia, surrounded by all these young, beautiful girls who admired him, how could he not have any thoughts about them?
