Chapter 1218: 546 embrace (one more update)_1 Chapter 1218: 546 embrace (one more update)_1 “Saving and helping those in need is meaningful in itself, isn’t it?” Aubree closed her book and looked up at Peter Aria.
“Finished what you were doing?”
Peter Aria touched his nose, “Sorry for making you wait.”
Aubree pushed the lunch box towards him.
“What’s this?” Peter asked as he opened it.
“Dumplings?
Chicken soup?
Chicken leg?”
Smiling, Peter said, “You came all this way to the hospital just to bring me food at this hour?
You could have sent it with a courier.
...
You just lost a lot of blood, you need to rest well.
Plus, I’ve already eaten…”
Before he could finish speaking, his stomach rumbled embarrassingly loud.
The air in the office lingered static for a moment.
Scratching his head awkwardly, Peter said, “Well, it’s been a while, I’m hungry again.
Your timing couldn’t have been more perfect.”
Aubree didn’t expose him, instead, she offered him a clean pair of chopsticks.
“Mr.
Aria, your signature is needed.” Mico Wood knocked, then entered the room.
While Peter signed, Mico said, “Mr.
Aria is so lucky, he still gets meals delivered to him at this hour.”
Aubree handed him a box of dumplings with two chicken legs on top.
“Dr.
Wood.”
Mico points to himself in disbelief: “For me too?”
Peter stretched his hand to grab it, “If you’re not going to have it, it’s mine.”
Mico quickly stepped back, “I’ll have it, I’ll have it.”
Peter scoffed, “Not everyone is lucky enough to eat dumplings handmade by my niece.
Consider yourself lucky, kid.”
Mico grinned, “Thank you, Ms.
Aubree.
Thanks, Mr. 𝘯𝘰𝑣𝘱𝑢𝘣.𝑐𝑜𝑚
Aria.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he clutched tightly onto the lunch box and dashed out as if he was fleeing.
Mico couldn’t contain his excitement and opened the lunch box.
He swore he’d never seen such beautiful dumplings before.
They looked like works of art, almost rendering him reluctant to eat them.
An exquisite mixture of beef and coriander filled his nostrils.
After a bite, Mico’s eyes gleamed as he slowly chewed.
“These are so delicious.”
These were like the dumplings of gods.
“Wait, what did Mr.
Aria just say?
Niece?”
Mico realized something was off after a second thought, “Aubree’s Mr.
Aria’s niece?”
He had mistaken them for a couple, his imagination running wild.
Mico took out his phone, took a picture of the dumplings and chicken leg, and posted it on Twitter, with the caption: “Eating dumplings handmade by the goddess, I’m so overwhelmed with happiness!”
He was studying clinical medicine and had the opportunity to rotate an internship for a year after graduating from his senior year.
His classmates who have connections sought impressive tutors, and those without connections waited for school assignments.
He heard from a teacher that Peter Aria, a graduate of this very school who was currently a celebrity doctor and whose photo still hangs on the school’s honour wall, would be conducting a research project and would definitely need to form a team by recruiting graduate students.
Peter agreed, but with one condition – he would choose the people himself and would not accept intervention from the school.
Peter had always been his idol.
He worshipped every single journal and paper Peter published abroad, and Mico’s dream was to become a successful surgeon just like Peter.
Therefore, the moment he heard that Peter was recruiting graduate students, he applied immediately.
His outstanding academic performance indeedcaught Peter’s attention, earning him his current role as an intern assistant to Dr.
Aria.
Whether he could stay on to study for a graduate degree would depend on further evaluation.
When the news spread in the school, Mico was the envy of many students.
They tried to indirectly get information from him on how to join Peter’s group, which bothered Mico so much.
Now everyone knows that Professor Aria is an authority in the medical field.
Being able to study under him, either for a master’s or doctoral degree, would mean that they are already halfway down the road to success in medicine.
Even if Mico does not continue to study as a graduate student under Professor Aria, the experience from this one-year internship is already invaluable.
While eating the dumplings, Mico was determined to work harder and make Professor Aria accept him.
Soon after, his Twitter post gained lots of attention.
Mico had been one of the most popular guys in his school quick to share his passion for basketball and foodie adventures, which gained him nearly 100,000 followers on Twitter.
——Who is this goddess of yours, Jaime?
Me, perhaps?
