Chapter 1353: 640 Narrow Road_1 Chapter 1353: 640 Narrow Road_1 The Mythical Beast poked its head out of the backpack, its eyes glistening green with both fear and excitement.

Aubree Groove stood there quietly, her slender body seemingly possessing an energy that could defy the world, unfazed, immovable.

A gust of wind stirred her shoulder-length dark hair; her beautiful face remained calm in the driving rain.

The depth of her black eyes was like the endless night, filled with both compassion and indifference, pitying all creatures, yet treating them as if they were nothing more than mere grains of sand in the sea.

The hurricane formed a vortex, sweeping towards her.

Everywhere it went, it turned the land into a wasteland with the indifference of a meat grinder.

...

The young lady stood serene, her eyes slightly closed, her palms gently touching.

On her pale face, there was a smile as gentle as the spring rain.

A miraculous scene unfolded.

The hurricane reached her, but to its bewilderment, it was as if it had encountered an invisible shield and could not get an inch closer.

The hurricane, capable of leveling a city, could not even lift a corner of her robe.

Weakness could expose strength – it was the greatest power in the world.

The hurricane roared and screamed, like a man trapped in rage, yet no matter how hard it tried, it could no longer advance one bit.

The young lady with the incomparably beautiful and delicate face seemed to be the toughest barrier in the world.

Gradually, it lost.

Around, boulders began to crumble, and the trees in the mountains were almost uprooted by the storm.

Those poor plants had to bear its displaced anger.

“The AvÄ«ci and Earthly World must not interfere with each other, this is a rule set by the heavens.

I have merely taken away my senior sister who had accidentally strayed into Avīci.

From now on, our respective domains will remain separate.

I apologize for the disruption.”

Aubree Groove spoke in a cultivated manner.

As her words came to an end, she turned around with her backpack and left with a relaxed manner.

If you listened carefully, the howling winds sounded like someone’s angry roars, but that’s all they could do.

But Aubree Groove soon faced a problem.

The storm in the mountains grew stronger, rocks started to fall, blocking the way down the mountain.

The wind was so strong that a person could hardly open their eyes, it was hard enough to see the path, let alone descend the mountain.

Only then did the Mythical Beast dare to stick its head out and tap Aubree Groove on the shoulder, pointing towards the north.

“Alright, for once I will take your word for it.” Aubree Groove thought, riding a dead horse as if it were alive.

The Mythical Beast grew up in these mountains and naturally knew them better than Aubree Groove.

Moving carefully to avoid collapsing rocks, she found a small cave, located in the corner between two cliff walls and fortunate enough to not have been damaged.

Just as Aubree Groove was going in, the Mythical Beast suddenly leapt forward, disappearing into the cave like a stroke of lightning.

Mournful cries echoed from inside the cave.

Aubree Groove entered the cave quickly, flashlight in hand, only to find a Little Brown Bear under the paw of the Mythical Beast.

Two smaller ones huddled together, trembling.

Aubree Groove sighed in resignation, “Let it go.”

The Mythical Beast bared its fangs, the Little Brown Bear under its paw had wide, innocent and bright eyes that were absolutely heartbreaking.

“I said let it go.” Aubree Groove’s calm voice forced the Mythical Beast to release its grip.

Mischievously, it turned around and tried to scare the Little Brown Bear, who was so frightened it almost fainted.

Aubree Groove was even more exasperated, “Is this how you usually bully those smaller than you?”

The Mythical Beast shook its head.

Of course not.

As if Aubree Groove would believe it.

Aubree Groove walked over and picked up the Little Brown Bear.

He was as small as an adult rabbit; he hadn’t been born long.

The cave was likely their hibernation den.

The Little Brown Bear was shivering.

Aubree Groove gently stroked his soft fur and spoke softly, “Don’t be afraid, I won’t hurt you.”

Maybe it was the gentle aura that Isabella Foster radiated, the Little Brown Bear cautiously stuck out its tongue and licked Aubree Groove’s finger then carefully looked up at her.

Aubree Groove was touched, and as she looked at the cave entrance, she saw that although it sheltered them from the storm, it couldn’t fully block the howling winds.

The rumbling tremors seemed to signify the collapse of the sky.

The mother who had gone out to gather food, she wondered whether she could return safely.

The other two Little Brown Bears, perhaps attracted by Aubree Groove’s natural compassion, shyly approached her, as if seeking warmth from her.

Aubree Groove treated all creatures equally and was helping the cubs overcome their fear and unease.

The Mythical Beast pricked up its big ears and walked back and forth in front of Aubree Groove, its beautiful aquamarine eyes glaring at the three small creatures in her arms as they fled into Aubree Groove’s embrace out of fear.

Exasperated, Aubree Groove murmured, “So you’re the type to bully the weak and fear the strong.”

The Mythical Beast licked its paw, suddenly its fur bristles, and with a single jump, landed on Aubree Groove’s shoulder, a hint of terror reflected in its green eyes.

The cave was pitch black, only the flashlight emitted a dim, yellow glow.

Her shadow was cast on the cave walls; the storm outside the cave had blurred her vision, creating an oppressing suffocating feeling.

The cave walls were crawling with serpents, their tongues slithering in and out, their eyes focused on Aubree Groove.

Aubree Groove smiled composedly, her face showing no signs of panic, “I wasn’t wrong when I said you’re one to bully the weak and fear the strong.”

The Mythical Beast was born a magnet for serpents, attracting them wherever it went.

It was also a rainy day, and the snakes needed a place to shelter.

Unfortunately for them, it was a meeting on a narrow path.</p
