"Danger? Yes." Violet nodded. "What will you do once he finally awakens as the Eternal Sin?"

"He won't." Evangeline shook her head. "And if he does, then I'll kill the Eternal Sin myself."

"Ha? You? Kill the Eternal Sin? Pfft..." Violet held back a laugh as she stared at Evangeline in amusement.

Before she could mock her further, Neraxis cleared his throat and spoke up.

"The Eternal Sin wants a replacement for his guardian position, right?" Neraxis said plainly. "He wants me to grow strong enough so the world can remain intact. As for him? He'll reawaken after his main body gets enough nourishment."

The moment his words fell, a deathly silence ensued. Yet it was soon interrupted by a laugh from Evangeline.

"Hahahah, yeah. Serves you right lip-filler."

Violet sighed and placed a hand on her cheek, then tilted her head.

"Gosh... how did you find that one out? I don't think... now that I'm looking at you… I don't think you're the person I expected to talk to, are you?"

"What do you mean?" Neraxis chuckled. "I'm the same Neraxis you know and tormented."

"Not that. I meant as in... hmm... you're from a different timeline. I guess that explains the sudden influx of new visitors. Were you the cause of this?" Violet asked.

"Again, I have no clue what you're talking about."

"Neraxis..." Evangeline approached, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I think we should just go. It doesn't look like she wants to fight anyway."

"You're right, I don't," Violet said. "But I must know one thing. Is the Eternal Sin still alive in your timeline?"

"He is." Neraxis nodded. "But he won't be for long."

Violet shook her head. "Tell me one more thing... when you crossed into this land, do you think it was possible for the Eternal Sin to cross alongside you? Perhaps in a weakened state?"

These questions, and her motives, seemed strange to him. Then again, he couldn't understand the motives of any of the Sovereigns.

He knew they were evil since they messed with him, and he'd definitely kill them. However, there was also the issue of none of them siding with the Eternal Sin.

Sloth, Greed, Pride, and even Lust all seemed to harbor this indescribable hatred toward him, and Neraxis highly doubted it was because of what happened on the 100th floor.

He erased their memories, but deep down, Neraxis felt as though there was another giant piece of the puzzle he was missing.

That was why...

"Why do you all go against the Eternal Sin? Isn't he your leader?" Neraxis asked flatly.

She stared at him for a few moments and simply shrugged.

"He created us. He gave us all the power we could ever want. And yet... his ambitions never aligned with our own. We wanted freedom, a life to be lived. And all he wanted was the end of everything. He wanted to end the universe and be the only being that exists within it," Violet replied with a cheeky grin. "Or maybe I'm lying? Who knows..."

Because of her answer, Neraxis decided to humor her.

"When I crossed, the Eternal Sin likely came with me. Everyone who was above D+ rank was taken to this world."

"Aha..." Her eyes beamed. "I guess I was able to charm you after all."

Evangeline's brow twitched, but just as she was about to speak up, Violet giggled.

"You know... I've always made myself uglier so people stopped liking me. But... do you want to see the real me, Neraxis?" she asked in a warm tone, and began slowly leaning in.

However, before her face could get any closer, he extended his palm and placed it on her forehead, stopping her in her tracks.

Obviously, his strength wasn't enough to even remotely hold her back, since by his estimates, her combined stats were somewhere in the range of 1.5 million. Even her warm breath alone would be enough to kill him on the spot without trouble.

His eyes widened, realizing he was having these thoughts at all.

And that was also when Evangeline suddenly approached, pushed away Violet, and delivered a passionate kiss on Neraxis's lips.

For a moment, he just stared at the assertive Evangeline, but soon, he decided to indulge in the kiss.

Seconds blurred into minutes until Violet's distant whistle finally broke the moment.

<Ding!>

<Your charm resistance has increased!>

Evangeline backed off, nearly staggering to the ground from the kiss.

"D-Don't you dare look at her like that again, okay?" she said flatly, and placed her hands on his cheeks, gently squishing them. "You're mine..."

"Okay, I'll stop you two here," Violet cut in. "I was joking when I said I wanted to seduce him. And you should give him props. Most people would not have even been able to resist pouncing on me the moment they saw my beautiful figure."

Her lips twisted into a sly grin as she looked down. "On the other hand... the only thing that was affected was his little brother. But you two can work yourselves out."

With those words, Evangeline sent him a glare, and Violet began walking away.

She hadn't taken more than a few steps before halting and glancing back at him.

"Oh yeah... Pride is here too. He's excavating a temple or something. You should be careful since he can kill you pretty easily," Violet said and placed a single finger on her lips. "But here's a secret... Pride can never be stronger than someone. He has to adjust his strength to the strength of his opponents. If he doesn't, then he's going to face some serious repercussions... so ask for a fair battle if you want a chance to survive."

She waved one final time and then dispersed into smoke. A faint hum of the melody he heard earlier still lingered in the air; however, he ignored it, turning to Evangeline, who had not yet removed her glare from him.

"She cast a charm on me."

"Mhm."

"I'm serious."

"Mhm..."

Neraxis sighed and pinched her cheek before delivering a gentle kiss on her lips.

She smiled and leaned in, deepening the kiss.

After a few minutes of kissing—and nearly something more—distant footsteps resounded.

As the two separated, they were greeted with Jane, who walked toward them with a confused look.

"What happened?"
