49 -049: Let her take the measurements up close_1

“Nobody in A City knows where he came from, who his parents are.

Have you never thought of doubting him?”

Ye Ranran was firm and calm, “So what?

All I need to know is that he is good to me.”

“Just wait for the day he kicks you out.”

Ye Ranran scoffed, “We’ll see when the time comes.

I bet you won’t live to see that day.”

Her father’s lips trembled, his face ashen as he watched Ye Ranran walk out the door.

Just outside the Ye Residence, a familiar Range Rover pulled up in front of Ye Ranran.

Jun Mochan hurriedly got out of the car.

“Are you alright?”

Seeing his worried look, Ye Ranran threw herself into his arms with such force that he had to take several steps back.

“Did someone bully you?” Jun Mochan’s tone was icy, with an underlying hint of murderous intent.

It seems he had been too lenient with them.

“Not at all.” Ye Ranran pulled away from him.

Jun Mochan narrowed his eyes, “What’s going on then?”

“I missed you.

By the way, why are you here?” Ye Ranran tried to change the subject.

She couldn’t help but rush into his arms when she saw his worried expression and caring tone earlier.

“Is this what you bought today?” Jun Mochan ignored her question.

Upon noticing the piece of cloth in her hand, his mood seemed to brighten.

“Yes.” Ye Ranran hid the cloth behind her back.

Jun Mochan didn’t expose her little play.

They got in the car and headed back to the villa.

“So, what size clothes do you normally wear?” Ye Ranran asked casually, standing at the doorway to his study.

“Don’t you already know what size I wear?” Jun Mochan didn’t look up as he responded.

Ye Ranran turned and started to walk away, causing Jun Mochan to halt his movements, his eyes flickering with panic.

Just as he was about to get up, Ye Ranran rushed back in.

Jun Mochan casually lowered his head again, returning to his computer.

“Come, stand up, I need to take your measurements.” Ye Ranran brought out a measuring tape, gesturing it towards Jun Mochan.

Jun Mochan obediently stood up.

His towering figure instantly overshadowed Ye Ranran, exerting an overwhelming presence.

Ye Ranran instinctively took two steps back.

Jun Mochan advanced two steps, cornering her between himself and the desk.

In the small space and quiet environment, Ye Ranran could hear her own rapid heartbeat.

Thumping, thumping—it was about to burst out of her chest.

“Just taking your measurement…”

“I know that.

You wanted me to stand up, didn’t you?

I’m just doing as you asked, am I not?” Jun Mochan looked at her innocently.

“Then stand still.” Ye Ranran looked up at him.

Jun Mochan leaned forward with his hands on the desk, almost face to face with Ye Ranran “I just think you’re measuring it wrong.”

“What’s wrong with it?

Everyone measures this way.

Besides, I have checked it out, and…”

Before Ye Ranran could finish her sentence, Jun Mochan silenced her by covering her mouth, his hand sneaking under her clothes.

Ye Ranran propped her hands against his chest, trying to create distance between them, “What are you doing?

I haven’t taken your measurements yet.”

“Isn’t this making it easier for you to measure?”

Ye Ranran: “…” She felt like she had been tricked again.

When she woke up the next day, Jun Mochan was gone again.

He seemed to be busy these days.

Ye Ranran lay on the bed for a while before sitting upright, an idea striking her.

God, she was such an idiot!

There are clothes in the closet.

Couldn’t she just have measured those?
