What a bigmouth Mei Zi is, revealing everything to Jun Mochan.
“She didn’t pinch me, just grabbed my arm.
Nowadays, I’m not afraid of her.”
Jun Mochan grabbed her arm, rolled up her sleeve, revealing her fair as a lotus root arm.
There were two purplish bruises on it that were particularly noticeable.
“My skin is sensitive; it flushes at the slightest touch, you know that.”
Upon being caught by Jun Mochan, even before he asked, she defended herself.
“Such a degree of redness, you’ve truly opened my eyes,” Jun Mochan joked
“Ouch.”
Jun Mochan’s face turned as black as ink, “You still know pain.”
“Don’t get angry, I’ll be careful next time.
You promised me not to transfer me to another hospital; you can’t go back on your word,” Ranran cooed.
Jun Mochan sighed, “If I were planning on reneging, you wouldn’t be lying here now.”
Knowing that he’d agreed, Ranran grinned from ear to ear, “I knew my husband is the best.”
However, the next day, when she saw the five bodyguards standing neatly in front of her, she regretted her words from the night before.
“Jun Mochan, what’s the meaning of this?” Ranran asked angrily.
Jun Mochan gave her a worried glance, his tone gentle, “Don’t get upset.
If you don’t want to be transferred, I had no choice but to arrange more people to watch over you.”
“This is surveillance!” Ranran retorted.
Jun Mochan gently poked her puffed-out cheeks, and said, “Don’t be angry.
If something happens to you again, I will have to keep you tied to my side all the time.”
Ranran: “…..” A wise man is always a step above the devil.
Every day, Jun Mochan would wait until Ranran woke up, have breakfast with her before going to work.
Ranran was a late sleeper, but she couldn’t bear to keep Jun Mochan waiting, so she hurriedly got up as soon as she woke up at seven.
Back and forth like this, she eventually broke her habit of lying in bed.
“Alright, I’m heading to the company now.
Call me if anything happens,” Jun Mochan reminded Ranran before leaving.
He repeats this every single day.
Ranran has heard it so many times it nearly bore a hole in her ear.
“Okay, I will.
You should get going, it’s getting late.”
Seeing Ranran’s impatient face, Jun Mochan felt a little upset.
Did she dislike being with him that much?
“Madam, your husband is so good to you,” Mei Zi said enviously.
A smile spread across Ranran’s face, “Go and get my notebook, let’s go sit in the garden.”
“Oh, okay.”
Mei Zi brought Ranran’s design notebook from the drawer and was about to push her wheelchair, but Ranran stood up, “I can walk.”
“Okay.” Mei Zi quickly supported her, being even more cautious than Jun Mochan.
“Madam, be careful.
If something happens to you, Young Master Jun will surely kill me,” Mei Zi said earnestly.
Ranran chuckled, “Is it really that extreme?”
“Definitely,” Mei Zi nodded earnestly.
Ranran’s heart was as sweet as if she’d eaten candy.
It almost felt surreal.
Jun Mochan was too kind to her, so overwhelmingly kind that it felt like she was dreaming.
Sitting on a swing in the garden, Ranran lowered her head and focused on her drawing.
The shadow of the trees danced around her while specks of sunlight shone on her through the leaves.
Quiet, peaceful, and serene.
When she got tired of drawing, Ranran lifted her head and moved her neck a little, careful not to strain too much.
