Chapter 50 - The Secret Test

Sera burst into Zane's room, her chest heaving as she wiped the sweat from her brow. Panic shone in her eyes as she locked the door behind her.

Zane raised an eyebrow. "What happened? You look like you ran a marathon."

Sera glanced nervously over her shoulder. "I was... listening to some senior students talking in the hallway. They were discussing a secret test happening tomorrow. But I got caught."

Zane frowned. "Caught? By who?"

"By them. The seniors. They don't want anyone to know about it, especially not me. Now they're looking for me." Her voice trembled with worry. "I don't know what they'll do if they find me again."

Zane paced the room. "Why are they so afraid of this test being known?" _{𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙥𝙪𝙗.𝒄𝙤𝙢}

Sera shrugged. "I don't know the details, but it sounded serious... something that could change everything for us."

Zane clenched his fists. "We need to prepare. Whatever this test is, I'm not letting them intimidate you."

Sera managed a weak smile. "Thanks, Zane. I knew I could count on you."

Suddenly, the door knocked sharply.

Both froze.

Zane whispered, "They're here."
