Chapter 155: Chapter 155: The Familiar Cub

On the surface, Su Tang was stoic; but inside, she was laughing so hard she felt she might roll on the ground!

These damn Beastmen, always being so stubborn! She had warned them earlier to hurry back to the cave. Their reluctance to listen, their dawdling - oh, they deserved to suffer a bit, if it would reinforce her lesson. Maybe next time they’ll pay heed!

The eloquence they had displayed while sauntering into the cave now made their scrambling looks of sheer panic all the more pitiful.

Bu Sen looked at Su Tang with a mournful expression. "Sanctified One, will we be scorched to death by the Acid Rain? It hurts so much!"

The other Beastmen did not say anything, but they all turned their shining eyes towards Su Tang.

With great difficulty, Su Tang stifled her laughter and said solemnly,

"No need to argue, no need to compete, the Acid Rain has already started doing its job, it’s too late to clean yourself now! Just wait, it’ll stop hurting!

Beastmen: ...

...

However, the Acid Rain started and dissipated quickly; its reign only lasted a short two hours.

Gaiyin turned his head to Su Tang and asked in a low voice, "The Acid Rain has stopped. When will we leave?"

After considering the state of the outside world for a moment, Su Tang responded, "We can’t leave just yet. We must wait until the weather is entirely clear before we can leave. If we leave now, we might be caught in the Acid Rain again. Let’s recover here for now!"

Gaiyin nodded.

The two of them sat side by side on a large rock by the entrance of the cave.

Su Tang rested her head gently on Gaiyin’s shoulder, gazing out of the cave, while Gaiyin’s gaze was fixated on her.

After the Acid Rain, the air carried a slightly pungent smell. It wasn’t pleasant, but it was a bit better than the stagnant Qi in the cave.

From afar, Su Tang noticed two Beastmen approaching the cave - it looked as if one of them was carrying a cub on its shoulder.

Su Tang instantly straightened herself, patted Gaiyin’s arm, and pointed in that direction, "Look!"

Following her direction, Gaiyin’s brows furrowed, instructing Su Tang, "Stay put, I’ll go check it out."

With that, Gaiyin sprung from the cave, rushing towards the two staggering Beastmen.

Standing anxiously at the entrance of the cave, Su Tang kept an eye on the situation.

She saw Gaiyin stop by the two Beastmen. She couldn’t hear what they were saying due to the distance. But shortly after, they all headed towards the cave together!

Only when they got closer did Su Tang see that they were Beastmen from an unknown tribe. 𝚗ovp𝚞b.𝚌om

Their faces were as red as crayfish, and their figures were obscured by the mud that covered them.

The cub one of them carried on their shoulder was inexplicably wrapped in only one piece of Beast Skin. The exposed skin was alarmingly red!

Instinctively, Su Tang tried to reach out for the cub, but she was avoided by the wary Beastman.

"What are you doing?"

Su Tang paused, realizing her action was a bit inappropriate, she hurriedly explained,

"Don’t worry, I just want to help your cub. You’ve been in the Acid Rain for too long; the little one can’t handle it! Hand him over to me, I’ll give him a bath."

The two Beastmen exchanged glances, appearing extremely unwilling. Instead of speaking to Su Tang, they just stood there in place.

Looking at the motionless cub, appearing incredibly weak, Su Tang couldn’t help but furrow her brows. "Don’t just stand there. There’s enough space inside the cave..."
