Chapter 171: Chapter 171 Delicious Food 2 (Six more updates)
Picking up a piece of fat, she evenly applied it on the rolling pin that Yadang had found, to prevent the Soft Fruits from sticking when she rolled them out.
Next, she rolled the small pieces of Soft Fruits into thin dumpling wrappers. Each layer stacked on top of the other, forming a pile that visually resembled a Thousand-Layer Cake, it actually looked quite appealing.
With the wrappers ready, she instructed Gaiyin to create a stove and a large pot with his superpower. Water was set to boil in the pot in preparation for making dumplings!
Yadang watched from the side, his mouth twitching with interest.
In fact, he wanted to ask Gaiyin, are you supposed to use your superpower this way?
However, before he could contemplate more, Su Tang’s movements quickly caught his eye.
She picked up a Soft Fruit wrapper, placed it in her palm, then scooped up a handful of meat from the metal basin with a pair of chopsticks, placing it on the dumpling wrapper. With an unknown folding technique, the meat was completely wrapped in the Soft fruit wrapper.
Su Tang worked quickly, completing one dumpling in a matter of seconds.
The dumplings were neatly placed on the metal countertop and looked quite appealing.
Because metal heats up quickly, the water in the pot soon came to a boil. Su Tang had them toss the dumplings into the pot and stirred evenly with a ceramic spoon she had made in the tribe.
Gaiyin blinked curiously and asked Su Tang, "Auntie Su, why doesn’t it smell good anymore?
Smiling lightly, Su Tang replied, "Who says food has to smell good to be delicious? Some foods taste great without a strong smell. Wait until it’s finished, then you can try it! Be a good boy, Gaiyin, go wait over there. I’ll call you when it’s done!"
Gaiyin obediently bobbed his head, and said, "Okay, Auntie Su!"
Since the stove was so hot, it didn’t take long before the dumplings started floating to the surface. Plump and white, they were quite tempting.
Gaiyin created four small bowls with his superpower. Su Tang placed the spoon on the metal countertop and then a strainer appeared out of thin air in her hand from her space.
Gaiyin’s eyes widened in surprise. He exclaimed in a hushed voice, "Wow, Auntie Su, have you awakened a superpower too? You’re amazing!"
Su Tang smiled proudly but did not answer Gaiyin’s question.
She scooped the dumplings out of the pot one by one, dividing them equally into the four metal bowls.
The dumplings, just out of the pot and still steaming, were white and plump.
Su Tang slapped Yadang’s hand away before it reached for a dumpling. "Don’t touch it! It’s hot!"
Yadang laughed carelessly. "No worries! I’m a Beastman, I can handle the heat!"
Then, without blowing on the dumpling he’d picked up, he popped it straight into his mouth. As he took a bite, the muscles on his face twisted together.
Yadang might have been immune to the heat on his hands due to the Beastman’s high tolerance, but that didn’t mean the inside of his body could tolerate the same heat! And thus, he found himself in an unfortunate situation.
Fanning his mouth desperately with his hand while at the same time, savoring the delicious dumpling he didn’t want to swallow too quickly.
With tears welling up in his eyes due to the pain, and his tongue going numb, he slurred, 𝚗o𝚟pub.𝚌𝚘𝚖
"Hiss... Huh... Too hot..."
Looking at Yadang with a mocking smile, Su Tang turned to Gaiyin and instructed, "Did you see that? That’s the result of disobedience, you must not learn from him!"
Gaiyin nodded solemnly. "Yes! I’ll listen to Auntie Su!"
Satisfaction washed over Su Tang as she rubbed Gaiyin’s head. "Good boy, Gaiyin! We’ll wait a little before we start eating."
Gaiyin looked longingly at the dumplings. He swallowed his saliva audibly but eventually nodded in agreement.
