After being released, the two of them sprinted towards the furthest corner from Uncle Lini without a word.
The two hulking figures huddled together, warily staring at Uncle Lini. The sight was quite a humorous one.
Uncle Lini sighed.
He diverted his gaze to the other Diamond Bear Beastmen.
His pupils constricted, wells of tears sprung forth in his eyes and he choked up a bit, "You guys... are... Akuan, Shuishui, Zhu Zhu, Xiaoqi..."
Xiongsan, Xiongsi, Xiongwu, Xiongliu all felt a chill run down their spines and looked at Uncle Lini with the same wary expression, then squeezed up against Xiongda and Xionger.
The six brothers stared wide-eyed at Uncle Lini without moving, fearing that the moment they blinked, one of them would be snatched away!
Looking at the cluster of oversized Diamond Bear cubs in front of him, Uncle Lini’s heart filled with warmth, and a smirk appeared on his face that he couldn’t suppress. He started walking towards them.
Xiongda suddenly raised his hand, his eyes wide-open and yelled, "Stop! You can’t come any closer! Don’t touch us! Stay away from us!"
The other brothers echoed in unison, "Don’t touch us, stay away from us!"
Uncle Lini stopped in his tracks, with a somewhat wry smile he looked at Xiongda, "Linlin, I am your father, and you are my cub!"
Xiongda stubbornly refused, "You’ve got the wrong guy! I am Xiongda! I don’t have a father!"
Uncle Lini’s look was slightly hurt, but he didn’t want to bring up the past of their tribe being annihilated by the Kingdom, so he turned to Gaiyin for help.
Su Tang looked curiously first at Uncle Lini, then at Xiongda and Xionger, and asked, "Uncle Lini, although Xiongda and Xionger look a bit like you, how did you conclude that they are your cubs?"
Uncle Lini let out a sigh, then spoke softly, "Their scent! The scent of my own cubs is something I can not forget in this lifetime! So, the moment I saw them, I knew they were my cubs!"
Su Tang nodded thoughtfully, "Oh~ So Xiongda and Xionger don’t remember your scent because they were young, that’s why they refuse to acknowledge you!"
A casual remark was like a knife stabbed into Uncle Lini’s heart, and he pressed his lips together.
Su Tang quickly asked again, "Uncle Lini, do you remember any distinctive marks or childhood scars on your cubs’ bodies?"
Uncle Lini fell into deep thought.
Then he suddenly raised his head, his eyes gleaming with surprise as he looked at Xiongda, "I remember now, Linlin has a dark mark on the sole of his right foot, and Zhizhi has a red mole behind his ear! You should check and see!"
