If I really do wed Gaiyin, then the wedding ceremony will represent a farewell to my old life and the initiation of my new life.
I came from the Blue Star to the Beast World. I just wanted to leave something behind, to prove something.
I used to read in the news about brides who traveled far for marriage, about how unhappy they were, about their regrets.
In comparison, mine should be the true definition of a distant marriage, right? Whether I am happy or not, remains to be seen. But I think I won’t regret this!
The two were snuggled together inside a cave for a while, when Little Gaiya, with tears filled in his eyes, ran over looking aggrieved. Behind him, were a line of cubs from the tribe.
"Sister-in-law~" In a leap, he burrowed into Su Tang’s embrace.
Despite being small, Gaiya’s strength was significant. Without Gaiyin’s timely support, Su Tang might’ve stumbled due to his impact.
Thanks to Su Tang shielding him, Gaiyin couldn’t lay a hand on Gaiya. All he could do was glower at him frustratedly.
But Gaiya, submerged in his sadness, didn’t notice Gaiyin’s disapproving glare.
"Good boy Yaya~, tell sister what’s wrong?"
Little Gaiya raised his tear-filled eyes and, in a bid to hold back his tears, gave Su Tang a look that would break her heart.
"The meat strip that you gave me is gone!"
Su Tang, looking stupid, did not quite understand what Gaiya meant. So she turned her attention to the biggest cub in the tribe.
"Hu Tian, can you tell me what happened?"
Hu Tian hesitated before speaking up, "Tribe Leader, Saintess, originally, Gaiya asked us to play hide and seek, and the meat strip which you gave him was to reward everyone. Before everyone was hidden, the meat strip was safely placed on the rock. But when I released my eyes ready to find them, I found that it had disappeared from the stone!"
Hu Tian’s eloquence allowed Su Tang and Gaiyin to understand the situation immediately.
"Tribe Leader, Saintess, you have to believe me, I didn’t take the meat strip!" Hu Tian anxiously explained, fearing they would not believe him.
His eyes reddened, Little Gaiya stubbornly glared at Hu Tian, "But you were the only one there at that time. If it wasn’t you, then tell me, who else could it be? If someone really had sneaked it away, wouldn’t you have heard or smelled it?"
Having heard that, Hu Tian was lost for words!
The anxious look on his face couldn’t be hidden anymore and he could only mechanically repeat, "It wasn’t me, really wasn’t me...".
Su Tang patted Gaiya’s head consolingly and turned toward Hu Tian with a soft smile and reassurance, "Hu Tian, don’t worry, I believe it wasn’t you!"
Hu Tian’s eyes brightened up, "Really? You really believe it wasn’t me?"

Before she had a chance to continue, Gaiyin suddenly declared in a cold voice, "Whoever took the meat strip, step forward now. I won’t punish you. The people of the Winged Tiger Tribe are not supposed to be sneaking around like this!"
Gaiyin’s stern voice scared the cubs immediately. They couldn’t help trembling slightly, their faces pale and swaying as if they were about to faint any moment.
Su Tang couldn’t help but pinch the bridge of her nose, thinking with such a way of questioning, even if a cub really took it, they definitely wouldn’t dare to admit it!
She slowly embraced Little Gaiya before standing in front of Gaiyin.
Su Tang smiled and said, "The Tribe Leader is just trying to scare you all. Don’t be afraid. Sister believes in you..."
