Chapter 191: Chapter 191: The Missing Meat Strip 3

Seeing the expression on Dunshan’s face grow increasingly conflicted, Su Tang started to get anxious as well.

Gaiyin asked indifferently, "What is it?"

Dunshan slightly furrowed his brow, confidently saying, "There are indeed traces of a strange Beastmen, but I can’t identify the race."

The color of Gaiyin’s eyes darkened further, deep and abyss-like, and his face held an unprecedented gravity!

Upon hearing those words, Su Tang felt a chilling fear that swept from the top of her head and prickled down her spine.

They had been living in this large cave for around a week, and all this time, apart from Beastmen of their own tribe, there was no sign of others.

However, just as they were on the verge of leaving, there were signs of another.

It was too terrifying to think that if the Beastmen who stole the meat had sinister intentions, it would be a disaster for their tribe!

Gaiyin’s face was tense and serious as he instructed, "Investigate every corner of this place and see if there are any other discoveries. Yadang, you lead a group to tally our tribe members and resources to see if anything is missing! Also, gather all the elderly, females, and cubs of the tribe and keep them safe."

Su Tang, clutching at Gaiyin’s beast skin belt nervously, looked like she had much to say but was at a loss for words.

Gaiyin comforted her by patting her head, giving her a tender smile, and then turned to give Yadang a sideways glance, saying coldly, "Protect your sister-in-law well!"

Yadang straightened up with pride, placing his small body in front of Su Tang, saying seriously but in an immature voice, "Don’t worry, big bro! I will protect sister-in-law! If even a hair of hers gets hurt, then punish me... Punish me by not allowing me to eat the delicious food made by sister-in-law!"

Even a hair...

Upon hearing this, Su Tang couldn’t help but laugh, reached out to ruffle Yadang’s hair vigorously, feeling a mix of amusement and annoyance!

The Beastmen acted swiftly upon the instructions, entering a state of high alert immediately, with clear tasks and orderly actions, preventing any chaotic scene.

Rini rushed over upon hearing the news, hence the task of protecting the old, weak, and young fell to him!

He walked over to Su Tang and said in his warm tone, "Let’s go. I’ll take you to the larger cave. Don’t worry, I will keep everyone safe."

Despite her worries, Su Tang nodded and finally said to Gaiyin, speaking softly, "Stay safe, don’t get injured..." n𝚘𝚟pub.𝚌o𝚖

Gaiyin’s lips curved upwards slightly as he said softly, "Don’t worry, I have a suspicion; perhaps our tribe is about to become even stronger."

Su Tang’s eyes brightened as she hastened to nod in response, "Good, I’ll be waiting for your good news over there!"

"Alright, be on your way!"

...

Yadang was back soon with a group of Beastmen, a smug look in his fox eyes, "Just as you speculated, after careful counting, a large quantity of our prey is missing, and our tribesmen haven’t noticed anything unusual."

Gaiyin looked mysterious, continually rubbing thumb and forefinger together.

Yadang spoke again, "What confuses me though is, even though we haven’t deliberately patrolled or stood guard, how did these Beastmen manage to steal our prey right under our noses?"

Gaiyin only nodded slightly, gave Yadang a look, his lips curled into a smile but his face held no trace of mirth.

Looking around, his voice was cold and clear as a bell, tinged with a touch of mockery, "No rush, we shall look for them... slowly!"
