Chapter 202: Chapter 202: The Stone-Piercing Beastmen

The beastman directed somewhat unfriendly eyes at Su Tang, remaining silent.

He tightened his grip on the prison cage, scanned the burly and formidable Diamond Bear Beastmen who were circled around it.

The corner of his mouth still held a smile of ridicule. He asked, with a tone that was almost amused, "Good beastmen? Hmm?"

Su Tang was immediately riled up. She put her hands on her waist, stomped out from behind Gaiyin, clearly agitated.

"The beastmen of our tribe are of course good! They are hardworking and friendly. On the contrary, it is you who would steal the game we worked tirelessly to catch. Who gave you the right to scorn us while benefiting from our efforts?"

While she didn’t completely understand all of his words, she still grasped the general meaning.

The beastman’s ears flushed slightly red, he took several deep breaths, his gaze fixed directly on Su Tang.

"I’m sorry, I... I had no choice. The cubs of the tribe haven’t eaten anything for several days. If they don’t eat, they’ll starve to death!"

Seeing his sudden softening attitude, Su Tang was for a moment speechless.

She fluttered her eyelids, unsure of what to say. Under the gaze of everyone, she grew embarrassed, her face turned red and she hid behind Gaiyin again.

Gaiyin’s adoring gaze turned colder as he looked at the imprisoned beastman. He nodded slightly, his tone implying an order that was beyond refusal.

"Join the Winged Tiger Tribe, your tribe won’t starve to death."

That one sentence sounded like both a command and a promise.

The beastman stayed silent for a moment, then finally hoarsed, "The Stone Skin Beastman, never to be enslaved!"

...

...

A moment of silence filled the cave, then Gaiyin replied coolly, "If not enslaved, can you still get what you want?"

The beastman looked taken aback.

"...What do you mean?"

Gaiyin shifted his gaze to Lini, "Take them back, I am enough to handle this situation."

Lini nodded in agreement.

Not long after, only Su Tang, Gaiyin, Yadang, and the Stone Skin Beastman were left.

Gaiyin waved his hand and the golden prison cage transformed into specks of golden light, disappearing into thin air.

Surprise flittered across the Stone Skin Beastman’s eyes. He knew the tribe had high-level Divine Brave Warriors, but he hadn’t expected one of them to be their young chieftain.

Upon being suddenly engulfed by the golden prison cage, he knew he had encountered a high-level Divine Brave Warrior, one whose powers had reached the stage of energy solidification. He was clearly no match.

With no one else around, Gaiyin dropped the pleasantries and went straight to the point.

"The Wilderness has witnessed the wrath of the mountain god and survival is no longer possible. Lead your tribesmen to join our tribe, you will get what you want. And I will protect you and your tribesmen, leading you to new tribal lands."

"Otherwise, it won’t be long before you and your tribesmen run out of food and go to see the Great Beast God." 𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘱𝘶𝑏.𝑐𝘰𝑚

The Stone Skin Beastman’s fists, which were hanging at his sides, tightened. Looking at him, he seemed to be very conflicted.

"You just said you wouldn’t enslave us."

"Of course, our Winged Tiger Tribe advocates for Beastmen Equality."

"..."

More silence followed.

Finally summoning up the courage, the Stone Skin Beastman asked, staring at Su Tang, "Are you the sacred maiden of the Winged Tiger Tribe?"

Surprised, Su Tang wondered why the topic had suddenly turned to her. Without giving it much thought, she nodded in affirmation, "Yes, why?"

The Stone Skin Beastman fell silent again.

Su Tang: ???
