Chapter 204: Chapter 204: Beastmen Through Stone 3

Yadang laughed awkwardly.

But, after receiving a fierce glare from Su Tang, he swiftly held his tongue.

Gaiyin’s expression was unchanged and there was no hint of embarrassment from being exposed. In fact, he admitted frankly,

"Yes, we were scheming against you. You were just too stupid to fall for it so easily. Any other questions?"

The Piercing Stone beastman’s expression darkened and his hands were balled into fists. He looked at Gaiyin with a mixture of anger and embarrassment, and the muscles in his cheeks twitched subtly.

The look in his eyes seemed to say, "If I could beat you, I would have fought you already!"

Su Tang: ...

All of them, when they’re reliable they are truly indispensable, but when they are unreliable, they are a pitfall for their teammates!

The Winged Tiger Tribe was in need of new members and they weren’t even trying to win these people over with kind words or attitudes!

And yet, these two, far from it!

One was carelessly admitting to scheming against others, while after this blunt admission the other still had the audacity to carry on as if he were completely righteous!

This really made her—angry!

If it were her, she’d rather die than join this tribe!

Having thought this far, Su Tang glared unhappily at Gaiyin and Yadang.

Then, a friendly smile surfaced on her face and she looked kindly at the Piercing Stone beastman,

"Don’t listen to their nonsense, we’re doing all this just to welcome you and your tribesmen to our tribe. Look, we’ve never harmed you, right? The beastmen in our tribe are all very easy to get along with, truly!"

No matter how sincere Su Tang’s gaze might be, once the seed of doubt is sown, it’s too late to recover.

As the Piercing Stone beastman looked at Su Tang, his expression was complex—doubt laced with astonishment, astonishment tinged with suppressed darkness, and yearning.

What was he yearning for?

Gaiyin’s normally nondescript face instantly turned sour. He pulled Su Tang, who was cheerfully laughing, into his arms, gripping her waist tightly with strong, possessive arms.

Su Tang looked up in astonishment and gazing at Gaiyin’s chiseled features, she felt a rush of affection, her face flushing red. 𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒑𝒖𝙗.𝒄𝒐𝒎

Gaiyin’s gaze bore into the Piercing Stone beastman. Even though he firmly believed that Su Tang wouldn’t be taken by this beastman, his tone betrayed a hint of warning.

"We schemed against you because we wanted you to join our tribe, but I’ve changed my mind now. By the looks of it, your tribesmen haven’t eaten for a long time and I don’t know what condition they’re in. There must be many sick beastmen. If you join us, not only will you consume our food, but also require our doctor to treat you, consuming many herbs. Our tribe doesn’t have many herbs left."

As the Piercing Stone beastman tried to speak, seemingly agitated, he was interrupted by Gaiyin.

"Moreover, I schemed against you and you’re already dissatisfied with me. Even if you join our tribe, you won’t be loyal to me. So, there is no need for me to accept you."

Having said that, Gaiyin, as if having made up his mind, embraced Su Tang and simply walked away without regret.

Yadang also sighed and shook his head.

"If that’s the case, I have nothing more to say. Still, I advise you, it’s no longer viable to live in the wilderness. Leave with your tribesmen as soon as possible and look for new tribal lands."

And with that, he had said all he had to say.

Yadang turned around and followed closely in Gaiyin’s steps. He had heard that the beastmen of the Piercing Stone Tribe were particularly good at digging caves and had a large population. If they could join the Winged Tiger Tribe, it would indeed be a great help.

What a pity...
