Chapter 208: Chapter 208: The Old Clan Leader’s Illness

Immediately after, a small head peeped out, with a tiny voice, "Big bro, you’re back! Come in quick!"

However, when he saw Su Tang and the others behind Yan Li, his face changed drastically.

"B, Big bro!"

After giving him a reassuring look, Yan Li turned to Su Tang and the others, "This is my little brother Yanshi. Yanshi, don’t be scared. This is the Chief of the Winged Tiger Tribe, the Saint Maiden, and..."

Yadang gave a small cough, "I’m the priest of the Winged Tiger Tribe!"

Yan Li nodded, "Hmm, no need to be afraid. They’re all good people. The Saint Maiden is also a doctor. I brought her to see the old tribal chief’s illness."

On hearing this, Yanshi climbed out from the dark entrance.

He was small and looked undernourished due to prolonged lack of food, skin and bones were showing, but his eyes were bright.

"Miss, you are so beautiful, you’re the most beautiful female I’ve ever seen!"

Su Tang grinned uncontrollably.

She took a few strips of meat from her pocket and put them in Yanshi’s hand, "Thank you, you’re adorable too. Here’s some snack for you."

Even with half of the rainy season already past and the weather starting to turn cold, Su Tang had layered a warm garment beneath her Beast Skin Clothes. However, the little beastman in front of her only had a beast skin skirt wrapped around him.

When she handed him the strips of meat a moment ago, his hands felt freezing to the touch.

Yanshi’s eyes widened slightly, finding it hard to believe that Su Tang was actually willing to give him food. He looked at Yan Li, unsure of what to do.

Yan Li offered a gentle smile, tousling Yanshi’s hair, "Go ahead and take it."

They were planning to merge their tribes soon, so they would have to provide plenty of food to fill everyone’s bellies anyway.

Yanshi immediately accepted it with glee but did not devour it right away. Instead, he kept sniffing it and finally tucked the meat strip into his beast skin skirt with reluctance.

Seeing everyone looking at him, he explained a bit embarrassed, "My mom can’t really stand up from hunger anymore. I was thinking of giving the meat strips to her!"

Su Tang was taken aback, then felt a warm surge inside her heart.

The little beastman in front of her looked like he had not bathed for many days. His face, hands, and body were all dirty, but Su Tang thought his smile was the cleanest in the world.

Remembering something, Su Tang quickly said, "You guys wait here for me, I’ll be back soon!"

After saying this, she dashed out of the cave.

Yan Li watched Su Tang’s receding figure, his mouth moved as if to speak, but he remained silent, standing quietly in the end.

Fortunately, Su Tang didn’t keep them waiting for long and returned in a few minutes.

Out of breath, she apologized, "Sorry for the wait. Let’s go see what kind of illness the old tribal chief has."

Yan Li nodded, patted Yanshi’s shoulder, and gestured for him to enter the cave first, following closely behind.

Just as Su Tang was about to bend down to enter the dark entrance, Gaiyin grabbed her arm.

He frowned slightly, "I’ll go in first."

Despite knowing that Yan Li wouldn’t try to pull any tricks, he was still worried.

Su Tang smiled, aware of his concern, but chose to let it pass.

She turned sideways and said sweetly, "Alright. It’s good that I’m scared of the dark and you can help me inside."

"Hmm."

So Gaiyin bent over and cautiously entered the half-human-high cave entrance.

He then reached out his hand to Su Tang, "Come, careful, there’s a step."

Yadang turned his face away, rolling his eyes.

Out of sight, out of mind.
