Chapter 237: Chapter 238: Really a Little Trickster

Who would have thought that his small gesture would wound Gaiyin’s pride?

But that won’t stop Su Tang from pursuing her grand plan to raise chickens!

While stroking Gaiyin’s fur to soothe him, she reassured him, "I know you’re the toughest! I want to raise Gugu Beasts for the overall plan. Can’t you go hunting when winter comes?"

Gaiyin nodded, "All the prey will hide during the cold season, and only come out when it warms up!"

"Exactly, I’m raising these Gugu Beasts to prepare for winter! When the time comes, you won’t have to go hunting, and we will have fresh prey to eat! It’s not just Gugu Beasts, I also want to raise cows, sheep, pigs, rabbits..."

Gaiyin asked reverently, "What are these cows, sheep, pigs, rabbits... you talk about? If you want to eat them, I will find them for you!"

Su Tang’s eyes glittered at the thought, but she quickly drooped her head in defeat.

She sighed and said, "I haven’t seen cows or sheep yet, rabbits are Long-eared Beasts, pigs seem to be Sabertooth Beasts... Forget it for now. We have too many things to do right now. I will tell you when we stabilize. I’ve planned the breeding ground too, I’m such a clever little ghost, haha!"

Gaiyin said nothing more, just watching Su Tang with an indulgent smile on his face.

Lunch consisted of the rapidly proliferating Long-eared Beasts and Gugu Beasts in the valley. Their numbers were great, but not enough to satisfy the voracious appetites of the Beastmen in the tribe.

To save time, Long-eared Beasts were all roasted while Gugu Beasts were prepared using the method Su Tang had shared earlier - wrapped in big green leaves and mud before being buried in the ground to make Flower Gugu Beasts.

The Rock Piercing Beastmen and Weasel Beastmen had never eaten this way before, so they found it novel and ate more than usual.

But they didn’t expect that just one meal would deplete a third of the creatures in the valley.

Seeing this, Su Tang was even more determined to establish animal husbandry and agriculture. Otherwise, with the bottomless stomachs of these Beastmen, she had no idea how long the prey in this forest could last.

After a brief meal, the Beastmen followed the morning’s plan and set about their tasks.

The tribe had three major tasks at hand!

Collect food, build houses, and sew warm clothing!

Besides collecting fruit, they also needed to stockpile a large amount of meat. To preserve the meat until winter, they needed lots of salt! 𝒏𝒐𝙫𝙥𝙪𝙗.𝒄𝙤𝙢

And the tribe barely had enough salt left for one meal, so making salt quickly became a top priority!

The Weasel Clan were neither skilled hunters nor builders. The females were alright, as they could gather and weave baskets and sew Beast Skin Clothes under Red Fruit’s direction, but the males were at a loss for what to do.

So Su Tang gathered them all and led them to the seashore to make salt.

She left all the tribe affairs to Yadang, with Ma Qing, Yan Li, Old Nike and Red Fruit assisting.

Coming to the beach again, looking out onto the vast sea, her horizons seemed to have broadened.

Su Tang turned to Tian Ding, "You and your men go to the forest behind us to cut some more wood. If there are any dead trees there, cut those first."

As she spoke, she nudged Gaiyin’s arm, and several golden axes appeared on the ground.

Tian Ding didn’t hesitate, he called a few Beastmen and entered the forest.

Compared to the Winged Tiger Beastmen and Rock Piercing Beastmen, the Weasel Beastmen felt useless, so they worked especially hard!
